No plans today. This evening I am going over to DD1's. DDs 2 and 3 are going as well. We will be having a takeaway to celebrate (belatedly) DD1's birthday. I am taking champagne!

I have done my usual Saturday blitz still the skirtings to paint but B said he will do that
I pulled out the sofa and chairs to hoover under, the sofa was fine but blooming heck the chairs being electric recliners are a ton weight but it’s done ,

Stripped bed and we turned the mattress between us
Bedding in the wash .
Expecting DD with dog sometime this morning apart from that I’m done for the day

DD1 seems fine thanks Oma. GS seems a lot happier with going to daddy's flat now, and she just has to get the tissue biopsy results from her little op then she can relax.

Oma, Those electric recliners weigh a ton. Ours are quite easy to move on the wooden floor, but I wouldn't like to try moving them over carpets.

Yesterday I made an apple tart, two banana cakes and flapjacks. For some reason it seemed to take ages!

Nanto, the weather hasn’t been good enough to tempt me into the garden.

Oma, pleased Mil liked your new car in spite of it being a bit high to get in and out of.

Lizzie, you have a lovely talented GD and it is lovely that you get to spend time with her.

Glamm, So sorry to hear that Jim isn’t interested in food now. Your dog must think she has died and gone to heaven, she is so lucky that she has found you. I saw a programme about bulldog puppy farms, such awful men running them, they even clipped their ears. The people that buy them are just as bad.

Spent most of the day with GD and H, GD wanted to go to J Lewis, her leg is almost better and H shouldn’t be infectious now so I agreed. I stayed with her until H was going to bed. The dog has been a real problem, GD couldn’t walk it. It was a mistake to take the dog into their care but her Mil knew that GD would look after her.

Gemini, looked up that book, it looks good. I am going to download it onto my Audible books.

Hopefully the dog settles into their routine , it’s always difficult at first isn’t it .

I have had a Nana nap almost a hour , I closed my eyes and remember nothing else for that hour ,
Usually I am aware of B moving about or noise outside but I heard nothing .
I was shattered mind you.

Just been out to clear leaves out of my two little boarders and several little gifts from next doors cats ,
Cant stop them cats will be cats , it’s only in the winter when the boarders are empty , wouldn’t care but next door have a huge garden with several boarders but they prefer mine 🙄😁

They have dug lots of my bulbs up so I have re planted them deeper hopefully next year they will come up .
Its not a bad afternoon but forecast bad weather later

Going to hoover stairs now while I have a little more energy .

Well i haven't dona lot today. Shopping was done and all put away.
Towels dried outside,just needed airing off.
Done a few little jobs, been more of a lady of leisure.

Plant I think you will enjoy the book . I really enjoyed listening to it. I finished it on the way to school yesterday so will return it on Tuesday.

I'm a lady of leisure too Nan2. Lazy day here. Hung some washing out and quick blitz of bathroom and downstairs loo . Other than that just TV and a game of Scrabble.
I'm having a relaxing bath now before getting changed to go to DD1's. We are having fish and chips and champagne! 🍽️🍾

Good morning, you would enjoy your fish and chips + champagne with the family Gem.

It is still very cold here, when GD2 was here on Friday she asked if I could make her a bag, I told her to look in the material cupboard, she chose the material and I made the bag yesterday, I went on the bike to take her it, she was really pleased and deciding on the next one! It was dry here when I left, showers there and on the way home, wet and cold.

I did get my washing dry though so that was a plus for the day.

I hope to get to Delft later to pick a fleece jacket up I ordered from the AA shop, they are such good quality with 70% discount. I have 2 that are far too big, I will ask the neighbour on the corner if she wants them, she passes every day in a Tenson winter coat I gave her 2 years ago.

I may even get the material cupboard sorted out this morning.

Your GDs are lucky they have a Nan like you that can make them stuff ,

Always nice to get a good discount isn’t it , even better when you can pass your other coats on .

We going to the DIY store this morning then next door to Dobbies garden centre ,
I need some new tall pots for each side of my front window on the drive, the ones out there are starting to look a bit shabby .
Then will pop into local Morrisons it’s all on the same long road ,
Got to take something over to DDs first .
Apart from that a quiet day

Good morning everyone else.

We had a lovely relaxing evening at DD1's. DD3 came back with me and stayed the night. It saved her the long late drive home.

OH and I have booked Sunday lunch at a nearby pub. DD is welcome to join us but will want to get back to the baby

DD’s birthday today so we are lunching with some of the family.

The story behind the attack of the 10 year old girl is that she walks so far with her school friends then leaves them to walk to her house. He was apparently hiding and jumped out and grabbed her. They fell she grazed her knees and then kicked him where it hurts and managed to get away. He must have been watching that she did the last bit of her journey home on her own. Our road would be much safer for her to reach her house, it is more populated and more open, nowhere to hide.
