Mmm, those lemon meringue pies look delicious Nan2!

I must try to get to Farmfoods tomorrow.

Oma, that was kind sending Clover a card. I think of her often.

    Poor GD Plant.

The dessert restaurant was lovely, and so busy! Who knew going out for dessert was so popular?!
Mind you, at the moment I feel as though I won't fancy anything sweet for a long time! It will pass off I'm sure.

My mum hasn't been too well the past couple of days. I have had several calls about her from the care home. They have asked the Dr to come to see her tomorrow.

Gem, I'm sorry to hear your Mum is poorly. Hopefully the doctor will know what the matter is and be able to give her something for it. xx

The restaurant sounds lovely. What did you have? I love the American idea of 'going out for dessert' and we used to do it for our DSs' birthday parties when they were junior school sort of age.

Nanto - those LMPies look fabulous. The first time you tried to post them photos on here did you get them from your computer/phone as usual or from, say, your post on your FB page? (I'm trying to work something out!)

Oma, that was kind of you to send a card to Clover. I do worry about her as she is probably on her own quite a bit. How exciting, your new car at last. I'll be interested to hear how B gets on with an electric car.

Plant, poor GD1. They do seem to be in the wars just lately, but hopefully H is getting better quickly and GD is young and fit, so I hope she'll soon be off the crutches.

I seem to have done a lot of nothing today, but the proper stand and pedals arrived for my electric piano and it took a while to put everything together. I also got headphones so OH doesn't get 'serenaded' every time I practice.

        Good morning,cloudy here.

Gem, sorry to hear your Mum isn't well. Hope the doctor can sort her out.

Daisy, i took the photo with my phone camera, then the photos automatically got to the computer.
So, i tried to the post them here from the computer.
Don't know what the problem was the first time i tried to post them.

Jacket potatoes for dinner, with tuna mayo and cheese.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

Daisy I had ferrero rocher cookie dough with ice cream. Lots of Nutella in there too. Delicious but so sickly!

Baked potatoes are always a good choice Nan2.

Thank you Daisy and Nan2, I hope the Dr can help mum. They think she has a chest infection. The Dr would normally just prescribe antibiotics but the senior carer pleaded with them to come to see mum as she's been sick a couple of times and not eating. She's so tiny the carer was concerned. They have said they will see mum today.

Aquafit this morning then coffee with my friend. No other plans.
If I am needed to go to see mum I will, if not I will go tomorrow as planned.

            Morning ladies

            Gem
I hope it’s nothing serious, at your Mums age it’s not the best thing to get is it ,

            Nanto
Sometimes I have difficulty posting a photo then other times it goes without a hitch , with me it’s usually something I’ve done wrong 😁

            Daisy
Do you sing while wearing headphones ? I do and B will say take one ear off then you can hear yourself caterwauling, cheeky man 😁

New car day today and it’s belting down with rain ,

Also got SIL & his helper coming to pull my new flooring up
One of the planks has popped right in the middle of my kitchen and only way to fix it is take the flooring all up from the dinning room end till they get to it ,
If it had popped out one way SIL could have put it back Glued it and everything would have been fine but it’s came out the wrong way .

So we have had to empty my crockery out of my sideboard , empty the very large 6 door larder unit that B keeps all his kitchen stuff in and take the doors off so it can slide easily, move the freeze, and take the Breakfast bar island out .
Everything is piled upon work benches in utility and in big IKEA bags under the stairs , it’s nightmare but got to be done

Then all has to be fixed back in place and sorted when they finish 🙄

Good St David's Day morning to everyone. Spring really is on its way now.

Nanto, thanks for the information on your photos. I noticed on the first one that there was a file name/root "Fetch" and I haven't been able to work out where or why that command appears, but it sometimes seems to come from a source other than a home computer. But clearly not in this case!

You've solved my problem of what to do for dinner tonight - jacket potatoes with tuna mayo and a salad will do nicely.

Gem, your poor Mum. Being sick is horrible anyway, but her carer seems to be on the ball asking for the doctor. Enjoy your aquafit and coffee.

Oma, what a nightmare - all that upheaval for one plank. As you say, it couldn't have been in a worse place. Hopefully the rain will ease off before you have to take the car out of the showroom, or do they deliver it to you? (You can tell we haven't had a brand new car for over 50 years!)

No, I don't sing along when I'm playing. It takes all my concentration to follow the music at the moment, and the idea of the headphones is to protect OH from lots of wrong notes!

Usual dog training for me today, but also (hopefully) new Broadband day as well. The engineer's due this afternoon and I hope he doesn't come early because they STILL haven't delivered all the kit. If it all goes pear-shaped I might not be around until it's fixed!

Gemini, I hope the doctor is able to prescribe something to stop the sickness. I don’t think I could manage that sweet you describe.

Oma, new car arriving and your wooden floor being repaired, busy day for you.

Nanto, I have only once been able to post a photo, well actually GS did it.

I am going to the local Golf Club this morning to meet some WI friends for coffee. This afternoon is board games at the village hall. Full day for me but I need to put the stick sucky thing around first. I might stop for lunch at the Golf Club

Not sure if H is here today, her mother is going to work today, she is on light duties. At least she can probably mix the feeds, because they are retired and rescue cases they have to add medicine to some feeds. GD hurt her leg rushing to stop one hungry horse eating the wrong food.

The car sounds lovely Oma, don't fall out though! We once had a dark burgundy one which looked black in most lights.

Fingers crossed for the broadband Daisy!

Plant that sounds a nice day planned.

I had a good aqua session but no coffee afterwards as my friend was going out to lunch so needed to go home to get ready. Our other friend is still on holiday.
The Dr seems reasonably pleased with mum. He has prescribed a course of antibiotics which the care staff hope will be ready today. She has had a bit of lunch and hasn't been sick today. I will go to see her tomorrow.

Gem, glad the doctor wasn't too worried about your mum.
Hopefully the antibiotics will get her sorted.

Cold here and its raining now.

Its freezing and very wet here and blustery , not a nice day at all .

We couldn’t be bothered to cook so B went to the chippy for pensioners specials ,
Couldnt eat it all lovely and nice white fish but very greasy so put me off a bit .

Oma, every time she is unwell I presume it's the end, as she will be 95 this year! She has fallen out of bed twice recently ( and bruised her face ) They have now moved her bed from the middle of the room to the wall along one side which seems safer.
