Oma, I hope you are having a lovely time.

Gemini, how nice to spend some time with all your GC and DD1. Of course there will be one missing.

Daisy, what a shame you have lost some bedding plants, not sure what animal could have done that, if it had been a cat I think they would have left a message.

Lizzie, I wish I had your energy, I need a bench cleaned up and treated next time you are in the UK.

        Afternoon ladies .
Plant we are at Nidd Hall in Harrogate.
.we have a posh suite with a sitting room, a Bedroom with 4 poster and a huge bathroom with roll top bath and dedicated parking right at the main entrance very smart it's called The Ingleby suite .😁

Daisy could it be a squirrel or even a Hedgehog ? Think Plant is right if it was a cat it would have left a little smelly gift 😁

        Gem
Have a lovely day with family and friends I'm sure they will all spoil you 😁πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

        Lizzie
Are you going to the place you went last break away ? Enjoy yourself hope the weather stays nice .

        Plant
        When is your appointment?
The heat won't help with the swelling either . Shame your allergic to Horses , does it set your allergies off if GD been around them when your with her.

        Nanto
        Enjoy your day out.

It's very hot today , we went into Harrogate this morning , came back sat on the terrace and had a coffee then had a stroll around the grounds but the sun is at its fullest so we have came indoors in the shade .

I had a go on the swings that are in the grounds , years since it sat on a swing and I couldn't remember how to get myself going it was so funny πŸ˜‚ .

Oma, enjoy the swing. I am going to a place near Den Bosch, the couple at the other address had to stop because of ill health. This is the same distance, it is an apartment, if all goes to plan GD1 will be going with me. I just hope it isn't as hot as it is today!!

Oma, I have been to Nidd Hall with my NT group, sat on that terrace with a friend drinking Pimms. Have a lovely time, your room sounds good. Do you go to the entertainment?

If I get near to GD when she is in her horsey clothes, I do feel a bit breathless. I can’t go to a horse show without taking a tablet.

GS1 and his family have been here all day very hot, paddling pool out. There has been a Fun Run this afternoon and a serious Penn Seven this morning. Bouncy castles etc on the green and tonight there will be music and dancing, not forgetting lots of food outlets. The family have come back very hot and tired.

Oma, Nidd Hall looks, and sounds, amazing and very luxurious. I bet you enjoy that roll top bath! Did you get the hang of the swing in the end? I love the photo, and the one of Nidd Hall.

Lizzie, I think it's been slightly cooler here on the south coast, but temperatures have been very similar to yours. Hopefully it will be just right for your few days away. It will be even better if GD1 can join you - you'll have great fun.

Plant, being allergic to horses must be difficult for you when GD1 is around them so much. I bet the family has great fun in the paddling pool, but it sounds too hot for a Run, no matter how much "Fun" it is supposed to be! I hope your ankles are better when it cools down. Mine tend to swell in hot weather, and I shall mention it when I have my annual MOT later this month.

The attack on the plants is still a mystery! I don't think it was a hedgehog as they were on a table waiting to be planted out. I still haven't done them, so I'll put them under cover tonight.

I did a few odd jobs this morning, then OH rang Specsavers because his new glasses aren't quite right. They said he could go in straight away so off we went. It looks as though the varifocal positioning isn't quite right so he left them there and will collect them next week. While I was there I got them to adjust my everyday sunglasses. I like to be able to push them up on my head (and I know optometrists tell you this isn't a good idea) because otherwise I put them down, lose them, forget them and yesterday I nearly stepped on them! We got back and sat in the garden with a cup of tea, and I'm just going to get dinner. Sainsburys is due later tonight, so it might be lean pickings in the fridge at the moment.

Oma, Nidd Hall loks a lovely place.

Daisy, sorry to hear something has ruined your plants.
DS1 didn't have any daffodils up in his garden this year, the squirrels took them all.
They didn't bother with his tulip bulbs though.

We had a good day in Pontefract. There was a wheels fest on,that we didn't know about, hubby was in his element.

Been another very warm day,we kept going in the shade.
We have been forecast thunderstorms for tomorrow afternoon.

Nanto, I've put what's left of the plants in the summerhouse tonight - I didn't have time to plant them today. I think it was most probably squirrels because they had dug all the compost out!

I sat out in the garden till 9.30 tonight. It was lovely and still warm, but it seems there's a chance of rain around mid-day tomorrow. Our lawn would be very happy if it did rain!

I hope Gem has had a brilliant birthday. I'm sure she'll tell us about it tomorrow.

Are the week-enders enjoying their breaks, too? xx

Good morning, lovely outside. Thunderstorms forecast for us this afternoon.
Just put a load of washing out,but should be dry before the storms come.

Hubby gone to the car boot with his brother,so i think its time for another coffee for me.

Not doing a big dinner today. Putting a small lamb fillet in the slow cooker.
Only doing mash, cabbage and gravy with it.

Good morning Nan2, Oma and ladies.

We were going to go to the car boot sale this morning Nan2 but be we cant be bothered

Nidd Hall looks lovely Oma. We love Harrogate. You look very sweet on the swing Enjoy your day.

Daisy when we have had disruption like that in the garden OH has blamed birds, but we don't really know who the culprits were. The warm evenings are so nice aren't they? I said as much as were walked back the car park at gone 11pm. It had started to get chilly, but not too bad considering we had no jackets on.

                          Definitely paddling pool weather Plant.

I had a lovely birthday and have posted on the Birthday thread,
No plans today. We talked ourselves out of an early morning car boot sale trip. I plan to spend most of it lazing around in the garden! Friends may pop round this afternoon but nothing definite.

Good Sunday morning everyone. It's warm and humid here, and rained overnight. I think there was thunder as well. I was out with Eva this morning when the heavens opened - proper wet rain and already the lawn is looking better. It messes up our plans for today, but is much needed.

Gem, you had a busy birthday, so no wonder you weren't too keen to go to the car boot. I think the thug in the garden was a squirrel or a large bird.

Oma, enjoy your day, whatever you do.

Nanto, Has OH brought anything back from the car boot?

Very hot today, curtains drawn in S.R. No breeze but we might have a storm later. DD and Sil are away for a few days starting tomorrow, they are going to Anglesey. H here again today, haven’t seen her yet I expect she is having a nap. The runners yesterday had a problem with the heat.

Gemini, what a lovely Birthday you had, family making it special.

Daisy, I wonder if that rain is coming our way? We complain ed last week when it was windy and cold, now I am feeling the heat.

Oma, I can remember sitting in one of the beautiful lounges listening to someone playing the piano. Do you go to the entertainment?

                                Very warm here,no thunderstorm yet.

We've just been sat in the shade having tea and cake.

Daisy, only thing hubby brought back was a dartboard in a cabinet.
Its not for us,its for his pal.Hell probably be picking up today or tomorrow.
