Rest days and swimming in the pool appeals to me Gemini, not keen on rides and queuing like GS2. Have fun with the family, when are you due back?

I hope the poorly ones are feeling better and stronger.

Nanto, that is a very exotic lady, perhaps I will wear red today but I can’t keep up with her. Have a good shopping trip and lunch with DS2 and his partner.

Daisy, I hope the hospital trip goes well, shame it is an afternoon appt. I am sure Eva will enjoy her walk.

Oma, just found your post on the next page. I think I was about 10 days before I got a negative result. My DD has a sore patch on her lower back which she thinks is to do with Covid.

Good morning. My Easter went by in a bit of a blur….yesterday was the first day I felt better and was able to eat anything. Luckily the weather was so good and at least I could get outside for fresh air. I’d told DD to keep away but she kept an eye on me from a distance. Not covid thanks goodness, had 3 negative tests. All good now and I feel human again 😀

Oma, sorry to hear you are still suffering.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, the weather has been glorious and the garden is looking nice. My poor wisteria though got caught in that last frost and so many buds have gone, such a shame as it was loaded. Spoke to DS and they are counting the days to their visit. 11 weeks!

Off to my craft group this morning.

          Good morning everyone.
I will try to catch up on this thread whilst drinking my morning coffee and supervising GS2 from poolside.

Nan2, good plan to spread birthday celebrations around 😊

Congratulations on a new GGC on the way Glamma!

Enfys, it does sound as though you have had a rough time of it. I'm glad you are feeling better.

I'm sure you will be negative soon Oma.

          How are you today Lizzie?

I hope all goes well for OH Daisy.

GS2, to answer those who asked, refuses to go on any rides, even those designed for pre schoolers! His parents have to take the child swap option on rides, or if I don't want to do the ride he and I go to a play area. We hope we will get him on a couple at Magic Kingdom tomorrow. Walking back all the way through the park through torrential rain and thunder and lightning the other night however he took in his stride!! Didn't like it but no crying or meltdowns.

Although in a way I wish we were at the park with the others, we need this break. I would not manage at all without my folding stick and a handy collapsible stool DD1 had delivered here, which means I can sit during long queues. I am in a lot of pain despite these, so I wouldn't cope without.
We will probably never do this as a family again, so I do want experience as much as I can with them.

Hopefully today's rest and pool time will recharge us a bit for tomorrow 😊

I hope everyone is well today and has a good day.

Gem, still not feeling right, better than yesterday though, I have slept a lot! The coughing hurts.

You must be in pain and the queues won't help.

Gem you must be in pain all that walking the pool will help I imagine taking the pressure off your joints xx

Oma - I'm so sorry you've still got the lurgy. I hadn't heard of rashes with it though.

Enfys - I'm so sorry you've been poorly over the Easter week-end, and I bet your DD would have liked to 'mothered' you more. I wonder what it was if it wasn't Covid. Thank goodness you're feeling better and able to enjoy your lovely garden again. Hopefully you can snip off the damaged Wisteria buds without harming the plant. They are so beautiful when they are in full flower. Have you seen the one at Exbury Gardens? It's the most amazing Wisteria I've ever seen! Eleven weeks will soon pass - have you got a calendar up to count down the weeks? I would have. x What are you making in your craft group?

Lizzie - poor you, but even feeling a little bit better is a step forward. Take care. Glad you're Covid negative. x

Gem - poor GS2 missing out on the rides - although I'm quite sure he doesn't see it as missing out! Would he perhaps go on the sort of rides that are a gentle float in a boat type of thing - not the ones with the big splashes. The sort where you just float along looking at all the action and 'story' on the sets. You could present that as a boat ride rather than a 'ride'. Standing queueing is hard, and I'm sorry you are in such pain. You're right to take rest days where you can spend time in the pool or jacuzzi. Never say 'never' though! Is it very hot and humid?

It's been a busy day for me. I weeded the back garden this morning, then took Eva to the paddock for a run. She hasn't been for ages, what with hurting her leg, OH and I getting Covid and then her getting a reaction to her injections. She lolloped around quite happily but didn't do zoomies which I was pleased about - I don't want her hurting her leg again. She kept stopping to nibble at the lovely fresh grass though! Then we had lunch and left for the hospital. By then the sun had given up and it was spotting with rain. We were amazed that there were quite a few parking spaces at the hospital. OH went to his appointment and I read for a bit, then went for a walk round. I'm amazed at how much has been built there very recently. OH was saying they have massively expended the facilities in the Eye Department - but unfortunately haven't got the staff to use the space. We got home just before 5, and by the time I'd made OH tea and toast, etc I was shattered. OH had a snooze while I made dinner and caught up with the rest of the family with messages and phone calls.

I think I'm ready for bed. Sleep well, everyone.

Good morning, I am feeling a little better, the fever has dropped and I actually managed to sleep.

Oma, my DIL had a nasty itching rash when she had covid. I hope you soon get a negative!

I am going to get a shower and see if I feel more myself!

Good morning, Lizzie and all who follow later. Thank goodness you're feeling a bit better. Sleep always helps.

Nanto - I hope you had a nice meal yesterday. Are you out on the town today to celebrate your birthday? Have a lovely day. xx

I'm going with the flow this morning - exhausted after yesterday - and then dog training this afternoon. We've had plenty of rain in the last 12 hours and I can all but hear the weeds growing!! OH wasn't feeling great last night and he's still asleep, but he can have a quiet day, being pampered!!

Morning Lizzie , I’m so pleased to here your feeling a little better ,
I wonder what it was ,
I watched a thing on TV yesterday saying for some reason the hay fever season is bad this year and people are getting very strange symptoms ,
The tree/ grass pollen is stronger than it has been in past years could it be that ? Maybe you will never know .
Take things easy for a few days xx

Daisy how is J today are his eyes sore this time ,
Thing with expanding departments in Hospital is all well and good but as you say not enough staff to run them ,

I bet Eva had a lovely time running around the paddock ,

Gem I was thinking about you last night and how much pain you have , I was wondering would it not be a good idea to hire a wheelchair just to save you walking so much ?
you could use it when needed and push it around when you can do a little walking .

Hope the pool is helping xxx

Plant I read these rashes are not uncommon just not much said about them , and they range from a mild rash to hives to looking like chicken pox ,
some itchy some not , it’s how the body reacts .

Enfys will your DS be staying long when he comes , I think I would be like Daisy said crossing the days off on the calendar 😁

Im feeling so much better today a bit stronger and less wobbly , didnt cough once during night , Im definitely on the mend .

Nanto hope you have a really lovely day today and enjoy your Birthday xxx

Have a good day ladies I will pop back later xxx

Oma, I phoned surgery as I need new tablets for the allergy, the assistant said it would be the flu, I stick to the allergy! I was a bit annoyed, I gave my name and date of birth and she looked my medicines up and said I had this and that in February, I told her I hadn't, she read out a list of medicines as long as my arm then called me by another name!!! She had put April in instead of May and came up with another name, not good really, she is new but things like that shouldn't happen, I now know what Mrs K, born 15-04-1948 takes for medicine.
