Lizzie - isn't it amazing how an assistance at a surgery can make such a positive diagnosis over the phone! Even though she's new to the job!! It's a good job you stood your ground - can you imagine if you'd been poorly, confused and had thought they must know what they're talking about!

Plant - have a lovely day out with your NT group. I hope the sun shines for you.

Oma - So pleased you're feeling better. You're definitely on the mend. xx I think the hay fever season is both early and bad this year. J is still sleeping, but I'll take him a cuppa in a minute and see how he is. I'd wondered if Gem might be able to get express tickets for queueing to save standing so much.

      Lizzie that’s shocking , they don’t listen sometimes ,
B had to ring the pharmacist yesterday they delivered his medication on Friday and half were missing but no note to say why ,
He rang and they apologised there should have been a note to say they were waiting for more coming in , He was concerned as two drugs are controlled as in Morphine based , they supposed to be signed for at the door after checking they are there , with COVID they haven’t been doing that the delivery driver just signs the form ,
well anything could be getting signed for couldn’t they .

Daisy, I told her I had never had that medicine she mentioned, she said " well you received it Feb 18th, I will get the prescription signed and if it isn't right you don't have to accept it"! A good thing I realised she had the wrong name in front of her! I do think they would have noticed at the pharmacy though, I will ask when I go.

Blimey, late check in for me.
We've been socialising most of the morning.Visitors bringing cards and flowers amongst other things.
Its a long time since we had so much free time.
As much as we loved mam and dad and miss them,we are enjoying having more free time.
Will come back later to read up on posts.

Good (in the US) morning to all.

            Enjoy your birthday Nan2!

Daisy I hope your OH feels better as the day goes on, and you can take it easy .

Have a lovely day out Plant.

Lizzie and Oma I'm glad you are both starting to feel better.

Speaking of medication mishaps, OH was once given the completely wrong medication ( these were for a man) and my dad was given the wrong dose of his medication, didn't notice, and was taken quite poorly when we were in Edinburgh for DD's graduation.
OH and I always check ours as soon as we get them now as you can't be sure it will be right.

Magic Kingdom day today and lots of rides we hope to do. We hope to get fastpasses on a couple
We want to stay for the fireworks so will pace ourselves with plenty of rests. I iced my knee a lot yesterday and will do it again before we leave, so should be starting from a better place.
I have though about the wheelchair Oma. I'm not sure if you have to pre book them. We had a lovely pool day with GS yesterday 😊

Sounds like a lovely Birthday day Nanto.

Daisy, I hope J will feel okay soon, those injection really knock him back

What terrible muddles with prescriptions. So far mine have been okay but I must keep a look out.

Lovely day out, lots of walking, feeling tired now and do not feel like cooking, I might just have a sandwich. We went to a gorgeous garden first, quite near to Kew and then to a museum full of very old pianolas, very old music boxes, and many other very old musical items finishing with a tea and a very old Wurlitzer organ which happened to come from my old local cinema in Kingston on Thames. The items were demonstrated and very good information.

I've never had such a busy day with visitors.

                Lizzie,sorry you have been unwell.

Plant, sounds like you had a lovely day out.

                Admin,thank you for the ecard.

Nanto - I'm so delighted you are enjoying the free time you have now. Of course you miss your in laws, but they would be pleased to see you are having fun. Tell us all about it tomorrow if you have chance. xx

Plant - I would have found the old painolas etc very interesting - although I don't suppose you were allowed to play them. It would be amazing to hear the Wurlitzer played by an expert - it has the most incredible sound. I was always fascinated by the one in Blackpool Tower ballroom when I was a child!

Gem - how frightening that your OH got the wrong medicine and your dad got the wrong dose. I always check them to make sure they're right and the right dose. In the same vein, I once had a dispensing chemist peer closely at a prescription and then ask if it was for my eyes or my ears!!! Needless to say, I didn't use it - goodness knows what the doctor had scrawled. The same doctor has previously got someone else's notes in front of him and was asking very odd questions!

I do hope you're having a wonderful day at the Magic Kingdom, and hope GS2 has enjoyed it, too. I bet the fireworks are spectacular.

Lizzie - that assistant at your surgery is dangerous! Fancy offering to give you a prescription for something you've told her you don't take!

Oma - there's probably no reason why controlled drugs like that shouldn't be signed for again now, is there. It's a worry. My DS1's drug isn't licensed for use in the UK and he has to get it from a separate pharmacy at the hospital and has to return all the empty bottles, packaging etc.

It seems to have been a busy day again. I did some washing this morning before taking Eva for a little walk. Then after early lunch went off to dog training. There was such a lot of traffic on the road I only just made it in time. There were 7 dogs there again today and they all worked very hard. Eva fell asleep while some of the other dogs were doing scent work and she's slept all evening as well. Dog tired, you might say!! (Sorry, couldn't resist! )

I'm glad you had a good birthday Nan2.

Well that was a lovely day at the Magic Kingdom 😊😊 The temperature was a lot more manageable, with some breeze, we got onto lots of rides and shows with minimal queueing, and stayed for the fireworks. My knee was a lot less painful due to the rest and ice packs yesterday. It was the right decision to take that day 'off' yesterday.

Off to bed now. Night all.

Hoping those of you under the weather are on the mend.

Gem, glad you had a lovely day and the pain wasn't as bad.

Today will be quieter, but yesterday was such a good day.

                        Good morning, everyone.

Nanto - thank you for the pretty bluebirds this morning, singing their heads off amid the blossom. I'm so pleased you had a great day yesterday, especially after everything that's happened. Have a good "day after my birthday" day today.

Gem - the Magic Kingdom worked its magic for you all. So pleased, and even more so that your knee was less painful. What's on the agenda for today?

It's a beautiful sunny day here, but I need to get the house organised - we've still got furniture in funny places - and a few other essential jobs, but hopefully I'll get out and enjoy some of the good weather.

Healed nicely, but that part of my hand is numb. I see the surgeon for a check-up next Wed.
