Hallo everyone, it is very cold here but at least the wind has dropped. I have got all the washing dry out on the line, I have even got ironed.

It is DS2 birthday today, I have phoned him and he does sound more himself, he has had lung X rays etc and they are all clear, luckily. Now he has to go for lung tests and see how that goes, he has had allergy tests etc so I hope they find out what is causing his tiredness etc.

    Glamm, I must Google scouse!

Gem, you will be packing with your mind at ease now.xxx

Lizzie - very happy birthday to your DS2. What good news that his X-rays were clear. I hope they can get the problem sorted though. He must be feeling a bit fed up.

Thanks Daisy, he is out cycling as he wants to pick that up again, with all the renovation he has been doing he hasn't had much time for that hobby!

Lizzie - good for him. It's hard work renovating a house, especially if you've got to do your normal job as well. Could the tiredness be caused by all that work and stress? I know our new neighbour was totally exhausted after working on their house for several months and it took him a while to get back to cycling and running and even playing golf.

Happy Birthday to him , how old will he be x

Daisy far to cold for a light jacket , thank goodness for heated seats 😁

WG you poor thing you must be in pain , it’s always worse the day after when the adrenaline stops pumping and the bruising comes out , how’s your hand also .

Glamm hope you spot DD in all her finery, meant to ask did your friend get any summer bargains in the charity shop when she visited ?

Plant you will feel lonely they all off and about but baby H will put a smile on your face , has she started to walk around now without holding on to things ?
doesn’t seem real does it , it only seems a little while since she was born 😁

Gem such a relief , I’m getting excited for you , Have a wonderful time, Enjoy your Wedding Anniversary while there too 💕💕💕💕

Had Hair cut feel so much better ,

DD was going to take him into garden to give him a good brush , his winter coat is blowing so lots of lumps of fur everywhere ,
            The birds love it ,
DD has a wire cage hanging up she puts the fur in there and the birds take it for their nests .

Daisy, that could be the reason he is ( was) so tired and run down, he has done so much himself along with his work. Then, he is a lot like his mother, if he is busy with something his head works on it all night long then he wakes up thinking it all over!

I had almost the same thing this morning, I opened the blind in the kitchen and he "holder" flew open, the metal weight in it flew into the corner behind the washer, where I certainly could never reach it, this was at 6am, I couldn't go to the gym and leave it there so, I made a magnet fishing rod and managed to "fish" it out, I then went to the gym but my mind was repairing the holder, I came home and soon got it put back together again, I was thinking about it all the time I was in the gym, talk about relaxing!

Thanks Oma, he is 51 years young today, DS1 will be 54 in a fortnights time. The birds will be comfy with bedding made from Storms fur!

Lizzie - your DS2 (and you!) sound like my OH - when he's got something on his mind it keeps buzzing round until it's all sorted out. Glad you got your 'holder' back together.

Oma - it didn't seem too cold when I'd just had a hot shower - it's always a problem for me. Did you say anything to your hairdresser about the colout you'd used? My word, you're giving yourself a big job, doing the stairs. what colour(s) have you chosen? Good old Storm - if he's anything like Eva or Cooper you only have to go and stand on the front door step for a few minutes and when you go back indoors they greet you as though they haven't seen you for years! The birds round your DD's will have have cosy nests for their babies.

Gem should be setting off any minute - I bet she's finally excited.

Glamm - have you spotted your DD at Aintree?

Just popped out to the local parade and called into my favourite cafe and who should be there but my eldest GS with a couple of his friends. GD1 said she will come and see me tomorrow. Her husband has 3 days off otherwise she would be here like a shot. I had a face time with her and could see baby H helping her daddy emptying the dishwasher. Just had a phone call from them, they are going to pop in.

Oma, snap, I have had my haircut this morning. How is your GS?

Lizzie, I hope they can find out the cause of your DS’s tiredness, it could be the pressure from all the work he has been doing.

Lovely sunshine but bitterly cold out.

                    Lizzie,happy birthday to your DS.
Hope the medics can get him sorted. Good that his x-rays were clear.

I got loads done today. Hubby was out for a couple of hours this morning.
Made steak and onion pies for the freezer.
                    Cleaned up all through.
We ended up having chips, beans and egg for dinner.
Not fancy, but one of hubby's favourite.
We've just had a cuppa with a couple of slices of Soreen. Scrummy.

Thanks Nan, I had to google Soreen, see that it is malt loaf, I used to love that!

Nanto - you have done well. My OH is out tonight, but it's the wrong end of the day to get enthusiastic about jobs around the house. So I might just have a glass of wine with my dinner and relax. I love Soreen as well, but haven't had it for ages. It's all too easy to just keep eating it!

Plant - what a lovely surprise seeing GS1 so unexpectedly. I bet baby H put a smile on your face on Face Time. Clever girl, helping daddy with the dishwasher.

Gem should be well on her way to Manchester now. I hope they are all feeling the holiday spirit - I bet the children are super-excited.

Daisy my hairdresser loved the colour , I have had the back cut very short as it grows quite quickly

We are having panelling bottom half of the wall all the way up the stairs and hall and landing and have chose a very soft green called willow tree by Dulux ,
Top half will be white .
SIL was to pick the wood up to start the panelling and deliver it at tea time but we think he is coming down with Covid he felt really ill .
As the strips we need are 8ft long we need his van to get them
We have told him not to worry we will get on with the paint work and filling in holes where we have taken photographs off the wall etc till he is better .

GS is still having a bit pain in his back but he is in London till Monday with SIL's Brother and Sister in law having a good time ,
He said the long train Journey had him aching but he's ok .

Plant lovely to have visitors i bet Baby was making more work helping load the dish washer

Nanto I always get more done when B is out too
Love Chips eggs and beans , easy meal but so tasty yum

I love Soreen too but as Daisy says so easy to eat lots of it

Lizzie half my trouble sleeping is my mind doesn't shut down and if I have something to do I can't sleep thinking about it .
I have even had to get up and wash the floors if I know they need doing and have not done them before I went to bed .

Even worse if I needed to solve a problem I just cant sleep till I do , Your DS sounds just like that

I do hope Gem and family are safely on there way xx

                            Hi everyone.

Everything went smoothly in the end.
Cat sitters arrived safely, taxi man on time and got us all safely to the airport hotel in good time to check in and have a cuppa in our rooms before our meal at 7pm.
We saw snow on the way over!
                            3 very excited children.
It feels much later than 9.15. I am showered and in bed with a cuppa and kit kat!
Very early start tomorrow so I think I will be in Florida next time I speak to you!
Thanks for all the encouragement and good wishes everyone, and to Daisy for the lovely announcement 😊

                            Night night all xx

Gem - I'm so glad you've arrived in Manchester safely and are all ready for the big day tomorrow. I bet the children aren't the only ones excited now you're actually on your way! I hope the Florida sun shines for you. Night, night.

Oma, pleased to hear GS1 is so much better. These youngsters recover so much faster than us! The Willow Green sounds lovely - nice and restful, calm and spring-like. Glad your hairdresser loved your hair colour. I hope SIL is just going down with a cold - there are such a lot about. x

                                Sunny morning.

We are going to Wakefield today shopping.
Will eat out and supermarket shopping will be done in Sainsburys.
We will be having a flutter on the Grand National. Always have to get help filling in the betting slip.

Just seen on the news there are 90 minute delays at Manchester airport.
                                Poor Gem and family.
