Good morning, oh Oma, pleased take care and get the rest you need.xxxxx

It is quite chilly, but the wind has gone and the sun is shining, the forecast is for a warmer week. I forgot() to book in for my lesson so I am booked in for the second group at 10-15am, I don't mind, just annoying to forget!

Daisy, both GD's are sweet but GD2 is gentle, if I can put it that way, thoughtful, GD1 is 16 now and has her life, I was there the other day and she was telling me all she does at the gym, she goes with friends and really enjoys it. She was working 9 hours on Saturday so would need a rest after that.

I am pleased that you have the garden sorted now Daisy, you will be able to enjoy sitting in it now that all the work has been done.

Nanto, I hope you get the bedding dry out on the line.

Good Monday morning and welcome to the start of another week. The sun is shining here, and it's not quite so cold.

Oma - I'm so sorry you're poorly. All you can do is go with the flow, rest, lots of fluids and sleep if and when you can. I do hope B doesn't get it as well. Sending you lots of hugs.

Lizzie - it's wonderful to see your grandchildren blossoming into adults, isn't it. I look at my GS1 and marvel at how he's suddenly grown up. Your GD2 does sound a very caring, thoughtful and mature young lady, and you must be thrilled to see your GD1 moving into this new stage of her life, going out with her friends and having fun.

Nanto - a good drying day here as well.

Gem - have you all got plans for today? Have fun. xx

I need to go down to the post box - you never know what time they collect these days and it says 9 am, but they don't keep to it. Back later. x

Oma, So sorry to hear you have Covid, difficult to avoid at the moment. I found paracetamol helpful and lots of rest and sleep.

Sunny here but I think it will be quite chilly out. I have to nip to M&S food hall this morning, then I shall pop in to GD1 and baby H for a coffee. I intend to get back to bowls this afternoon. H has now got a pair of shoes and they sent a video of her walking outside near their flat, she was smiling all over her face.

Lizzie, I have two GD’s and they couldn’t be more different.

            Good morning everyone.

I'm sorry I'm not keeping in touch much! Being busy plus the 5 hour time difference, and only having phone and not laptop all contribute!

Sending love to all, especially Oma, and B who we hope will avoid the dreaded virus.

I will be writing a holiday report when I'm back 😊
Magic Kingdom yesterday, Animal Kingdom today. As it's only 5 am here though not yet!

Good morning.very sunny here and nice out in the garden.

Oma sorry to hear you have covid, it’s rife here at the moment. Look after yourself.

So pleased to see that Gem has arrived safely in Florida., Have a great time Gem, I have so many lovely memories of our holidays there, 😀

Cooper is here, snoring away. He seems much better after his tonsils op, he was very quiet for a while but has perked up now. He is being spoilt rotten, had scrambled egg here this morning and lots of pampering…..he’s loving it.

My knees are playing me up, maybe it’s the change in the weather but I’m very creaky and stiff, feel like I could do with some WD40 in my joints! I’m keeping moving though don’t want to seize up altogether!

Otherwise things are much the same here. I’m still knitting like mad, another pair of socks finished. Enjoying my knitting and craft groups. Most of the ladies at craft are knitting or sewing, some patchwork and we have one gentleman who does the most wonderful embroidery. He’s just started to learn English paper piecing (patchwork) he’s very talented.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm 😀

Oma I have just seen your Facebook status. Poor you I hope you get better soon. How is B ?

I have just come in from a lovely walk in the sunshine. I then sat in the garden eating an apple whilst watching the blackbirds eating from the ground feeder.
Before I did all this I applied a face pack an lay on the bed listening to gentle ocean wave sounds via my Alexa.
I have been able to do this as OH is at the chiropodist. I never seem to get around to doing anything like that when he is home.

Enfys I haven't done any knitting for a few years now . I used to enjoy it.
I sympathise with you and your knees, all weekend my fingers and toes, one toe in particular, has been very painful.

Has anyone been effected by the huge raise in gas and electricity prices. At the moment we are OK as we changed our tariff before everything went mad . Not sure how we wil, cope next year when our contract ends!
We have just paid our council tax via direct debit so just waiting for our £150 rebate . At least our water bill hasn't gone up but all our other bills have !

                Keep safe ladies x

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                    Afternoon ladies ,
I have slept on and off all morning ,
B just brought me a cup of tea and some paracetamol,

Its like having a heavy cold but with odd symptoms , I have aches in some odd places and feel a bit spaced out .
I am hoping yesterday and today are the worst days then I will start to feel more human .

Enfys is Cooper milking his op for sympathy 😁 bless him but they are better out , I must admit I have never heard of a dog having its tonsils out ,

All these joint aches I blame the change in air pressure ,
Isnt it strange if you go on holiday to a warmer climate where the air pressure is stable your aches are not as bad .
well that’s my theory anyway ,

Mimi so far we are ok fuel wise but like you that will eventually change in a few month .
Water bill is fixed rate , if you have a disability or someone you live with does or they have chronic illness you can get your water bill capped .

Gem we want to see lots and lots of photos let us that can’t get away enjoy your holiday with you 😁
I bet when you finally took off all your worries about this holiday dropped away . I am actually excited for you 😁👍

Plant can Baby H walk ok in her shoes , I remember those first clumsy steps there little feet must feel heavy in their first shoes .

Lizzie I found even my two children were completely different in all ways as was my two GS .
My DD and DS don’t even look alike never mind have similar personalities.

My grown up Twin nieces they are 52 now and were identical
Now one is a partner in a Accounts firm very refined well spoken and a sweetheart , doesn’t smoke or drink .
Her twin sister is as rough as sand paper she’s a barmaid could drink you under the table would be scary in a fight
Common as muck but with a heart as big as a bin lid ,😂😂😂

wow I’m tired writing all that 😁 think another nap is needed 💕

Oma, your energy will come and go very quickly, just go with the flow, don’t push yourself, listen to your body.

Oma - Plant is absolutely right. You have to listen to your body. One minute you think you're ok - perhaps not 100%, but ok - then the next you feel spaced out, tired, lethargic like all your get up and go has got up and gone. I took paracetamol at night, which I think helped me get to sleep, but otherwise drinking gallons of water seemed to help - about 2 litres a day. I hope B is keeping safe. What a pity about the plans you'd made for your MIL's birthday. It's frustrating, but can't be helped. xx Gosh, those twins couldn't be more different from each other! Your DD and DS might be very different, but there's no mistaking who your GS2's grandma is - he's the spit of you.

I agree about aches and pains going when you're abroad. I always put it down to the warmth and more humid air., I hadn't thought about the atmospheric pressure. Our climate doesn't suit me at all!

Lizzie - I've got two grandsons and two grand daughters and they are all so very different. What is surprising though is that GD1 is very like OH youngest brother's DD1 (if you're still with me!) and our GD2 is equally similar in personality to that BIL's DD2! The DD1 and our GD1 are quiet-ish, studious, deep thinkers, the two younger ones are sassy, quick-witted, very funny, and a bit quirky.

Mimi - I know exactly what you mean about having the house to yourself for a while. I can imagine if I lay on the bed while a face mask did its work my OH would keep coming into the bedroom with odd questions, or even worse, shout from downstairs! I took Eva with me to the post box this morning, and it was so lovely I carried on for a walk in the Forest. It was such a beautiful morning. A lot of the trees are turning green, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and I saw more ponies than people.

Yes, our utility bills have shot up. We were with one of the companies that collapsed and were allocated another provider and it feels like they are cashing in on us new customers!

Plant - has anybody taken some video of baby H walking in her shoes? As Oma says, they look so cute and pleased with themselves.

Enfys - I'm sure Cooper is getting very spoilt, but why not, bless him. I'm so glad you're enjoying your craft and knitting groups. I know where to come when I get stuck! I've promised to teach GD1 to knit this holiday - the last time I picked up knitting needles must be 40 years ago! So I've bought wool and needles (it all seems so much more complicated these days) and downloaded some beginner patterns, and I'm practising, but I think I'll need some advice from you experts. By the way - after you for the WD40, please.

We've spent the day gardening. It's been quite windy at times, but mostly sunny and we got the rest of the plants planted and did some weeding in the front. I shall try and get the front garden finished tomorrow. But I ache all over! We had lunch and a cup of tea this afternoon on the patio - it's wonderful to be able to use it at last. Not quite like Gem's Florida pool and hot tub in the garden, but still good.

Gem - it's always lovely to hear from you, but I find using my phone frustrating too, so I sympathise. You've already been very busy - two parks in two days. I bet the GCs have loved them both. What did GS1 think of the Animal Kingdom today?

Good morning everyone, I will see if I can catch up, a busy day yesterday. We went to the pool on our bikes, it was quite windy on the way home but a nice ride.

Oma, I do hope you are feeling better today. Yes, GS can be so different, thinking of it, we all are! My sister and I were like chalk and cheese, as my dear mum used to say! My DS's are different in every way, colouring, build etc, that could be with them having different fathers though, DS2 is very much like his father in appearance but (luckily) like me in a lot of his ways. DS1 phoned yesterday telling me all about his trip to the UK, the first in over 2 years.

Daisy, YouTube is very good for knitting and crochet, so they tell me.

Enfys, I used to knit, a lot, but now with arthritis in my fingers it is too painful, I do still wear what I knitted years ago though, I have just sorted some cardigans out for the summer. I do manage to sew though so I keep that up, mostly alterations at the moment, I do have other plans though, oh, today I am going to cover a footstool? I ordered the material last week at the shop in the village and I can pick it up today.

I will get myself ready for my early morning gym, I was telling DS1, I do enjoy it, I never thought I would be a gym bunny.
I went yesterday morning to a later class, it is surprising how many classes there are for seniors (pensioners), it is a good thing and keeps us active.

I wonder how WG is. Hope the pain has eased off.

You sound as if you are worse than I was Oma, I did feel sick one day but no temp. I just wanted squash and fruit drinks. I do hope B doesn’t take it from you, my Sil didn’t catch it from my DD. They slept in different rooms, he wore a mask and they had lots of windows open.

I wonder how WG is getting on, I expect the bruising will take a time to go

Another sunny day. I spoke to a friend who lives in a Mc&Stone flat, she has had Covid, there were 14 cases in the flats, they were not allowed out of their rooms, no visitors, very difficult, at least I could open my doors and have a wander around the garden. I am picking her up this afternoon to go to our Ex.Guiders meeting. Spent most of the day with GD and baby H, she is amazing with her walking now she has her shoes, arms in the air for balance and a big smile on her face.
