Good sunny Sunday morning, everyone.
Gem - so glad you've arrived and the journey was better than it might have been. I hope you didn't go hungry missing your Walmart delivery. We always say you're never more than 6 ft from food in America! We look forward to hearing from you when you have time - and photos as well, please. xx
Oma - I can understand your MIL being worried over paperwork she doesn't understand. My Mum was like that - do you think it's a generational/age thing? I hope your sore throat and chesty cough is just that and not Covid. Fingers crossed for you. You definitely need to listen to your own advice and rest today.
Nanto - we had a frost again, but it's gone now apart from a couple of very shady areas.
The garden is my priority today. OH put a second coat of varnish on the hall floor last night - one more to go tonight.
I hope all the poorly people are feeling a bit better and are enjoying sunshine too - it does lift the spirits, doesn't it.

Gemini, you are all there at last now enjoy your holiday.
Nanto, love the fluffy chicks in the nest. The birds are busy in my garden.
Daisy Your house and garden will be so posh after all the work you and J have done.
Oma, I do hope your cold and cough is not the start of the dreaded Covid. Paperwork is so confusing for the elderly, I am not surprised your Mil needs some help. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good Morning ladies , Its certainly frosty here this morning my little fingers are like ice,but the sun is shining brightly looks lovely until you go outdoors into the garden.
I can visualise Gem & her family enjoying breakfast at their poolside what a joy for them after such a long wait.
WG I do buy beads and necklaces from our local charity shops you can pick up some spectacular pieces if you look around,I bet your DGD is delighted with your finds.
DD is calling in later so I will have first hand story of Aintree and all the ladies dresses etc,the horse I picked came in 4th I don't think I get a result from that the other one I picked must have forgotten it was racing & went home as I never heard from it again after the start
Yesterday after having coffee & chat with my pal I went into Asda local to my house I have not been in there for such a while I was really shocked at the difference in prices compared to Aldi I think I will give them a miss from now on it did serious damage to my purse strings.I'll certainly be off to Aldi for my salmon for Good Friday.
Henry & Oliver are now best buddies they both sleep on the sofa abet at each end of the sofa and they sort of talk to each other by way of grunts from Henry and loud purring from Oliver so we are at least friends now.
Going to go and toast a couple of maple syrup pancakes and a hot cuppa now I feel a wee bit peckish and its a long time until dinner x
Bye for now xxglamma xx
Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

Had plenty of sunshine today. Towels dried lovely outside.
I'll iron them tomorrow morning.
Yet again,i tidied the freezer in the outhouse.
I can't blame hubby for making it untidy,he never goes in that freezer.
Oma, hope it just a cold and not covid.
Did B get his mams paperwork sorted?
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Oma - I do hope you continue to test negative, and start to feel better soon. Glad B got the paper work sorted out for his mam. I hope you've taken it easy today.
Nanto - freezers are a mystery. How does they get so untidy? Our chest freezer is very full at the moment due to our three-monthly fish delivery and the dog food arriving together, as well as a couple of bargains (spare ribs was one) which I stocked up on from Sainsbury's. Tonight, after gardening all day I was too tired to cook, so took out a 4-5 portion dish of minced meat ready for cottage pie. But the freezer looked fuller than it had before I took this large dish out!
Plant are you feeling ok. Have you heard from the family? I hope they're having a good holiday.
Glamm - I think all the supermarkets 'locals' are more expensive than their own larger supermarkets. Our Tesco Express is outrageous for certain things - they rely on the holidaymakers (mostly camping) to just grab what they want and not think about the price. How lovely that Henry and Oliver has signed a peace treaty and are working on becoming best buddies. Did your DD have a good day yesterday?
Lizzie - your GD sounds a lovely girl, and obviously loves her Nan. I bet you're glad that wind has dropped.
We spent most of the day in the garden, and finished everything that needed to go in the back garden, packed everything away, and tidied up. Then OH spotted a plant we'd forgotten to plant near the back of the border! It will have to wait till tomorrow now! We've then got a few more things to put in the front garden to fill the gaps. Unfortunately I think there will be even more gaps when we've done the weeding!
Gem - I hope you aren't feeling jet lagged and are able to slot straight into holiday mood. x"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
