    Good morning everyone.

Nanto - what a pretty graphic to start the day.

Oma - you really have been poorly, but do sleep as much as you can. When I had it I felt hungry but didn't fancy anything, even dry toast made my stomach churn. But your appetite will come back, and I'm sure you felt a bit better after your shower, even though it was a struggle. xx

WeeGranny - we are all thinking about you, and hope your hospital appointment today goes well. Sending hugs.

Plant your SIL did well not to catch it from your DD. How awful to be stuck in your flat like your ex-Guider friend - I would feel quite claustrophobic. I would hate to live in a flat that didn't have direct access to outside space of some kind. Baby H is such a joy, isn't she.

It's too wet for gardening at the moment. So I've got no excuse to avoid housework! Boo hoo.

        Good morning everyone.

I will be relaxing at the villa ( along with OH and DD1) so I shall be catching up with all the posts. The others are going to a waterpark later.

I said last night it was a good job this was the plan for today, otherwise I would have had to get some new legs from somewhere!!!

Sending lots of love Oma, you poor thing xxxx

Gem, enjoy your day of relaxing!

Oma, I do hope you are soon feeling better, as soon as I read that your are cleaning and polishing I will know you are improving!xxxxx

My friend in the home is in lockdown, has to stay in her room which is certainly not her thing at all.

Daisy, a lovely sunny day here, I have sorted the balcony and been sat outside, they did forecast 20+ degrees, maybe that was in the south but certainly not here.

I was going to get a footstool covered but the material hasn't arrived so I will have to look elsewhere.

Oma - I think it' the nature of Covid - it lets you start to feel a bit more human, and as soon as you get up you can't wait to go back to bed. All you can do is go with the flow. It sounds as though you have it worse than I did, and OH only knew he had it because he tested. It was just like a rather heavy head cold. I hope you're over the worst now, but be prepared to listen to your body telling you to leave the dusting and lie down! Eva sends you another cuddle!

It must be awful when a whole block of flats goes into lockdown like that. Oma, thank goodness you friend can get out safely.

Gem - I'm sure you will have a great day relaxing. It's hard work being on holiday! I don't think you realise how much you are walking round and on your feet in theme parks. Have you had to queue for any attractions, or did you have passes?

Lizzie - how I dream of 20C!! My phone says it's 12C here but it feels more like -12C!! What a pity the fabric for your footstool hasn't arrived yet.

Oma, listen to Daisy and Plant who have recently recovered. It does seem to need a lot of rest and listening to your body . This is NOT the time to push yourself! Some people do have very mild symptoms, others are really poorly for a few days. That's why I am wearing a mask indoors a lot here as I don't want to be Ill.

Sorry I can't reply to everyone here on Chat, but to there is far too much 😊

My mum's home is in Lockdown again until Sunday . I found out from my friend C who had gone to visit. A shame as it's an hour's round trip for her.

DD and SIL2 and all the children are at Typhoon Lagoon waterpark today. A rest day for the rest of us, and we are all going out to eat tonight.

Oma, hope you're taking everyone's advice and resting! I spent three hours asleep when I got back from hospital ans have spent the rest of the day fiddle faddling around. Covid test negative thankfully!
Hope anyone else feeling poorly soon feels better.
DD brought me home last night and I got a taxi to hospital. Thought the traffic would have been light seeing as it's school holidays, but it was just like a normal weekday. Got there in plenty of time and was seen at appointment time! Had to smile at two little ones 'speaking' to each other across the waiting room. Made everyone smile. Popped to the instore M&S and got myself a couple of little treats for over the next couple of days then taxi home and back to bed.
Good news on two points today!
                1) the nose has healed nicely, the inside is clear and there are no hairline breaks around the eyes. Nose is nice and straight and my breathing is clear. Bruising can take up to a fortnight to go. Still waiting for appointment for my hand to be seen, but that too seems to be healing.
                2) We exchanged contracts on the houses today and completion is set for 27th April. Still can't quite believe it! Plant I shall be in touch when I've moved in!
Gem, continue to have a wonderful holiday!
                Ladies, enjoy your evening xx
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WeeGranny - you must have been exhausted by the time you got back from the hospital, and needed that sleep. I'm so pleased to hear your nose is basically ok and they're not planning any invasive treatment. It looked very sore, so I think you've had a lucky escape. Yippee - contracts exchanged! Roll on completion on the 27th - not long to wait but at least you can get the removal van booked and do some serious packing/sorting etc. What a relief. My only worry is what mischief you and Plant might get up to living so close to each other!

Lizzie - I definitely approve - what a lucky find, and a bargain, I'm sure. It looks perfect.

Gem - oh your poor Mum, in lockdown again. What a pity the home didn't let your friend know before she made the journey over there. Did the water babies have a good day? Have you heard from DD3 - is she ok?

We don't feel we've done much today, but we have done some sorting out and moving furniture around in the dining room. We were both quite tired after our gardening marathon yesterday, and OH didn't feel like sanding the hall floor down again - job for tomorrow, perhaps! I spent quite a while online ordering some trousers for him - he saw them advertised in the paper at a good discount, but online there was only about 10% off. It took me quite a while to realise there were two different codes. I just hope he likes them - and they fit.

Sky looks a bit watery in places but the sun is up.

Oma, hope you are on the mend, albeit if its slow.

Lizzie, the stool looks very well done.Loving the colour.

Good morning everyone. It's been raining overnight, but the sun is doing its best to break through the cloud. Suddenly everywhere is looking much greener - beautiful.

Nanto - enjoy a gentle day doing nothing much.

Oma - I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. It sounds as though you lost your taste, but I'm sure even a round of toast gives you a bit of energy. I'm sure Plant will say the same thing - it's great to be feeling a bit better, but it might not last. Do go back to bed if you need to - and sleep if you can. Nag, nag, nag, nag .... Sorry. xxx

WeeGranny - I do hope you're feeling less exhausted this morning. I'm sure you've got things to do, but don't overdo it.

OH has got a friend of a friend coming round to chat wood turning this morning. I'm getting washing (and hopefully drying) done, then dog training this afternoon.

Lizzie, the stool looks very smart and will be very useful.

Oma, I think you sound as if you have turned the corner, your symptoms are very similar to mine. I found my body wouldn’t let me overdo things. B is right, the job he is going to tackle can wait.

Daisy, we had a lovely warm day yesterday, very unlike yours. I used to order trousers on-line for my OH.

WG, pleased to hear you now have a date for the move, you are being very secretive about where the new abode is. It sounds like a successful hospital visit yesterday but very tiring. Pleased to hear the nose isn’t broken and should heal okay.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
