GS1 has tested covid positive today. We knew it was just a matter of time before someone in the family got it.
OH and I did a test this morning as we are having a friend here for the day. Both negative. I expected that since we haven't seen GS since Tuesday, but thought it best to check in the circumstances.

Daisy I hope it is a nice day for your GS

Plant, I think you will be glad when the lump is gone.

Oma I'm sure your hair is beautiful 😊

Lizzie losing your sister seems to have hit your BIL hard. Let's hope he moves to Alnwick and gets back into living his life again.

      Good Morning ladies.
Sending heartfelt hugs to Nan2 it is good you where able to be with him and that he had a peaceful ending with people who loved him.

Oma your hair sounds very nice will you keep it this shade? Daisy I have not had the courage to colour mine pink as yet but think I may go and buy the colour next week its not a vivid pink its called "Blush" so I will match in with my soft furnishings in my lounge !!

I enjoyed the afternoon yesterday with my friend and DD when we came to pay I realised I had not put my purse in my bag and had to beg funds from DD such a good job DD had her card with her or I would be washing dishes all week.

I've done all the veg for Sunday lunch and waiting for the chicken to cook under the watchful eye of Oliver who has parked himself in front of the oven on watch.

Just a few things to do today run the hoover over the bedroom floor and flash mop the lounge floor then find something to watch on Netflix and have a restful afternoon . Bye for Now xx glamma xx

Just popping in to say hello to everyone.

Sending love to Nanto and her family, sad time. x

I've put the house on the market and have already had 6 viewings and two offers. 3 more viewings this coming week. I now must start actively looking and have 4 viewings arranged for next week. Busy time...you've never seen such a tidy house!

Last week my DB came down as he wanted to look at a car he fancied. The dealer was near Thame, so we stayed with DD to save me the drive early in the morning. Thankfully the car was what he wanted and he bought it. He has to wait for a couple of little jobs to be done before it is delivered to him. I'd forgotten what it was like going looking at cars with him. I became very knowledgeable about little bits and pieces and why this was better than that etc. Went in to Thame for a coffee and then dropped him off at the airport and came home and did b***** all for the rest of the day!

Been out and swept up the leaves and tidied the back yard a bit in preparation for our green bin collection tomorrow!

Now I have a load of paperwork to complete and some ironing to do. Not sure which I shall tackle first!

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day. xx

Been to dad's. Needed to get money and valuables out of the house. Not a nice job, but it had to be done. We left all the lights and a radio on last night. Got a splitting headache now, and it's a long time since I had one.
Thank you for all the kind comments, each and every one is appreciated.
            We are OK.

Nanto, it will be the stress of dealing with the situation, hope the headache clears soon.

Wee Granny, I am very curious, of course, to know where you are looking for a house. Your DD has lived in the area for a long time and will give you good advice, but if I can help in any way, let me know. Nice town Thame, a long way to come to buy a car, did you drive him to London airport? Brave lady. Good luck with the viewings.

Glamm, Oliver knows the best place to be, warm and a nice smell. I think your hair would look good in a light shade of pink, why not.

Oma, love the hair, mine is 50 shades of grey!

GD2 came and we went to DS2 for lunch, a car almost hit me, there was a queue for the new shopping centre, 2 lanes packed, as I passed one man decided he had had enough, never bothered to look in his mirror to see the traffic passing him, luckily I keep an eye on my mirror and could swerve to the left, the man overtaking me also did the same , it shook me, GD2 as well. When I looked in the mirror a man behind him had got out or his van and went up to the man, I can only guess what he said to him! What a stupid thing to do.

We did have nice lunch though and saw the finished bathroom, very smart, I am still not sure about the black but it is their choice.

DS1 has got his new car, he proudly showed me it when he came for GD2.

I called in at the friends that has moved to the home, her daughter asked if I wanted anything, I told her no. DIL asked me to make folding blinds for the spare room and I was saying that friend had nice ones in her kitchen, she said go and see if you can have them, so, I went and the daughter told me she was pleased they were going to a good home! She asked if I wanted any other curtains but I told her no, just these, I need DS2 to hang them for me, I have examined them and if I fancy making them with new material it will be easy enough, this material is exactly the same as I have at the moment. I hope to go and visit the friend this week with the flowers I promised, I will go for a walk with her, she is so missing being out and about, I can understand that.

Nanto I’m so sorry I’m late to read your sad news. As others have said a blessing he didn’t linger. Nevertheless a shock for you. You couldn’t have done more for him or his late wife.

Oma nice to see you and your “new” hair.😀

Good morning, you will be pleased to get out and see GD2 house. A very difficult time for you all. You do right to just do the easy meal, you have enough things going on.

I have been to the gym, I told you before Christmas that the wife of one of the regulars had died, suddenly. He was there this morning, which I found brave of him. I was talking to him and he was telling me they had been out for a meal with friends, his wife said she felt sick as they left and that was it, just like that. The man had massive brain operations a few years ago, memory etc, he does cope and has a sister keeping an eye on him, he says he does the shopping, cooks and cleans, if not as good as his wife did, I told him it was good to do it all, with my BIL in mind!!

Good morning Lizzie and Nan2. Good morning ladies.
Very cold and frosty where I am.

No worries about posting Nan2, you have enough going on. Just post when you can or want to, and take care xx

It does sound as though that poor man is coping Lizzie. What a narrow escape with that car yesterday

WG, good luck with the house sale. DD3 and SIL have theirs on the market. They had a lot of viewings on the first day and an offer above the asking price straight away!

Free day for me. I am expecting a phone call from the solicitor, and have some emails to do. Plenty of housework to keep me busy too! Quiz tonight which I set a few days ago.
                                Take care everyone keep warm.
