Good morning everyone. Another cold, frosty and bright one here.

Nanto -I'm sure Dad would have loved the Storm-look-alike graphic yesterday. Don't over do things today - easier said than done, I know. xx Yes, thank you, DS1 is feeling a bit better. He's not good at pacing himself. The worst thing though is waiting for the results of the MRI - probably the beginning of next week.

Oma - I didn't see your post last night - sorry. Poor SIL. You feel for them when everything rests on their shoulders, don't you. I hope his partner will soon be back at work to ease the load a bit. I bet he enjoyed the biscuits, though. It will be interesting to see what B uses the Ninja thingy for - it sounds impressive.

Gem - be careful if it's icy out there. I do hope DD3 and SIL can find a house they like. They are certainly selling fast, but if they already have a buyer it puts them in a better position doesn't it. After your recents experiences you must be worried for them. Is GS1 feeling ok? I hope S has a good game today.

I slept a little bit better last night, but still aching a bit. Yes, Gem, we can send the mattress back, but OH loves it and he sleeping like a log. I think a mattress topper is the answer because it's just my neck aching - my back if fine, and usually it's my back that suffers. I'm thankful for small mercies, I think.

Morning ladies! A bright cold frosty morning here!

Off to view two houses this afternoon. One I've seen before and loved it, but wanted to see if it's still as lovely as I remember ! Then more tomorrow. Met the lady who was showing a couple round yesterday and we spoke about the offers I'd had. her advice was to 'hang in there'. One couple wrote me a letter saying how they loved the house etc etc but made an offer £25,000 below the asking price! It's interesting that we've had 3 viewings from people who live in the village and are not just 'nosy neighbours'.

Plant thanks for your offer of help. DD and SiL are certainly hand for letting me know which places and areas are best for me!

Daisy, I'm keeping things in cupboards taking them out and putting them back when there are viewings! Causes some problems when I can't remember where I've put things though! Even the ironing basket is put in the airing cupboard which also means I can't see it!!

We have a two sided mattress. OH liked a softer mattress then me, so my side was a bit firmer.

Plant hope you get that hand sorted out sooner rather than later. Fancy putting on all your finest underchunders and nobody saw them. I'd have been very upset!!!!

Hope everyone has a good day. Keep safe and warm xx

WeeGranny - good luck with the viewings this afternoon. I do hope the house you've already fallen in love with is as nice as you remember. In the current climate of house sales, I think the couple who made such a low offer on yours were optimistic in the extreme. I've got this mental picture of you wizzing round the house flinging open cupboard doors and throwing things in and yanking them out - but I'm sure everywhere looks great, and the ironing basket in the airing cupboard is the best place for it.

I've heard to two-sided mattresses and they sound a good idea.

Morning ladies a very crisp frosty start here but sun is peeping out ,

Daisy maybe a topper is what you need , it took me a good two weeks to get used to our new mattress but I love it now ,
We hated waiting for results always tummy churning , he does sound like he is doing too much at once though ,
but as a grown man what can you do , no matter what you advise he will do what he wants Still our babies but to old to control hahaha .

WG good luck with the viewings and you get a sensible offer soon ,

Nanto give yourself some time to rest at some point today ,
its a lot of stress at the moment and I know you will want to get on with things but take it easy xx

Gem shame you and S don't have a free day together you could have gone out for the day

Hope DD finds somewhere soon and can be settled before the baby arrives ,
How is GS is he ok ?

Plant we have a Cancer charity shop I take everything too they do a good turn around its always busy in there ,

Apparently this new gadget does everything a oven and Pressure cooker does , I sort of glazed over when he was telling me I only heard so much then lost interest ,
I think I made the right noises in response and didn't show my boredom

We have been to M&S food hall across the road then to The Range i wanted a new laundry basket but they didn't have much in .

B is at the baby clinic this morning to get his baby jab boosters
Think these are the last , was supposed to have then over two years but then Covid hit and they forgot as we did too , it wasn't till he went to the Freeman's long term clinic they realised he hadn't had them

Have a good day ladies xxx

It's still very cold and frosty. OH has gone off in her warmest golf stuff with a hand warmer in her pocket
it is due to warm up a bit later so I am am going to deliver some newsletters in a couple of hours time. I will do just 2 streets, which is 36 houses in all. Walking is good for me (though it doesn't feel like it!) so I do want to do some today. The whole round is about 130 doors.

Plant is seems strange that they have done these pre op checks with no date for the procedure! Usually it's a few days before at the most.
GS seems fine Oma. Just bored as they can't go anywhere, and his parents have to work. I hope B's baby jabs go well!
Good luck with house viewing WG. Its always worth a second look at any house I think.

WG, good luck with the viewings today and with offers on your house.

Hairdresser here this morning, I feel much tidier now. I have the phone number of the plastic surgery department secretary, I think I will give them a ring and ask what will happen next.

                We are getting there though.

WG, hope the viewings went well.

Plant, a good idea to ring the secretary.

Good idea to phone the secretary Plant.
Put your feet up after your busy day Nan2.

It was nice to be out doing my deliveries, it was a sunny afternoon.
I can finish any on Thursday morning which OH doesn't do tomorrow.

Nanto - you've done a lot today, but hopefully it's less to worry about.

Plant - our posts crossed this morning - I've only just read yours. I do hope the secretary can give you a date quickly. My OH is finding he mostly has to ring up to nudge the hospital for his eye appointments. His next one is Monday next week. It's difficult choosing beds, even if you go to a shop. You can hardly stay the night to give it a proper test.

Gem - did you get your leaflets delivered ok? I bet S was glad of that handwarmer today.

Oma - you're right about DS1 - you can't tell him to slow down. Hospital days are always tiring for him and DIL, but they are having a quiet evening today. You never know - the Ninja gadget might be able to do all sorts of things - the washing and ironing, cleaning the windows, washing the floor - let me know if it can, and I'll definitely get one.

I'm full of cold and feeling a bit under the weather today, so haven't done much. I swept the patio this afternoon, and finally ordered a tree for the front garden. Had a chat with a friend, and cancelled two social things as I don't want to spread my lurgy to friends! Dinner's a reheated casserole, so a nice easy evening, and an early night.

I did get the leaflets delivered, I wish I had taken more with me as I could have done more.

                                Good morning everyone.

Daisy, how are you feeling today? And Nan2, strange days for you and OH.

Dentist for me this morning. I hope she may be going to make the temporary patch on my tooth a little less temporary. We are also going to talk about the long term plan for it.
                                Library this afternoon.

I am also expecting the solicitor to phone. It's typical, I have had two days when I was free any time to talk. Today I may be on the dentist's chair, or working at the library! There are some questions from the buyer's solicitors which I need to answer. They mentioned these last week via email, asked me to phone, which I did straight away. Solicitor and his secretary were busy and would phone me back. This was last Wednesday and I still haven't been able to speak to anyone. I have no idea what the questions are. I emailed again yesterday asking them to confirm they had the papers with mum's signature, and remind about the outstanding questions. They do have them and have told the other solicitors that. He also apologised about not getting back to me regarding the questions , said he was in court all day yesterday, and will phone today.

I hope everyone is OK today and has a good day.
