We've had a bit of snow, and sleet is forecast. I want to be back from mums before dark if possible.

Very cold but only light rain on the way to mum's and back. I had a nice visit to her. She was very pleased (again) to hear about DD3's babyI found lots of her Christmas chocs put away which she had no idea about, so that went down well too! She had forgotten that dad had passed away so I had to tell her, which was sad. On the whole a happy visit though.
All our signs of Christmas are now gone in our house 😕
Tesco delivery due in a while, so we can restock on food!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Very cold, rainy day here today. Collected my shopping delivery from DDs, then a quiet day.
We had a drama yesterday afternoon when I had a frantic phone call from DD to,say she had tripped up whilst taking Dexter on a walk and had cut her head and was bleeding and feeling very shaky. Luckily she was only a couple of roads away so I was able to pick her up quickly and take her home. However, I didn’t like the look of her, she was covered in blood, a huge lump on her head and a bruised cheek so I took her to A &E, even though she didn’t want me too. Luckily all was ok, they checked her over and glued the wound and gave her advice should she feel unwell later. Phew, what an afternoon. Although we were luckily we were only waiting for just over two hours whichI think. is very good. however, I had to drive home in the dark which I hate, so was pleased to,arrive home safely. She is fine today, had a bit of a headache which was understandable.
So I’ve had a lazy afternoon, finished up the last of the Christmas cake Sad to say."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

Oh Enfys, what a good job you were there and able to help your DD. I hope DD is on the mend and that you have had a quiet day today.
I can’t find the place where we posted about POA. Just an update, I found a letter from 2013 in the file where it mentions a price for setting up POA and registering it was included. I rang the solicitors to say we were going to register it ourselves, Sil had downloaded the necessary forms and I queried the statement in the letter and she checked their ledger and sure enough I had paid for the registration so they are going to set it all up now. I am so pleased I mentioned it as it was so long ago. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Lizzie - thank goodness you were ok on your bike. I've never heard of using one ear plug for travel sickness - it sounds a good idea. Where will you hang your calendar?
Gem - it must be so hard when your mum forgets things. Not so bad when it's good news like DD3's baby, but distressing when it's sad news. Will she dwell on that, or will it slip from her memory again? Lovely to find all those goodies though. We've still go a few Christmas candles around, but I'll put them away when I do some dusting.
I've just spent an hour trying to update my Sainsbury's order for tomorrow - it was painfully slow, so I'd better go and get dinner now and try and pop back later.

Plant good for you realising you had already paid, or you may have been charged twice!
Daisy mum won't dwell on it, it will be gone. It may come back at some other time though, as she said she had been wondering why Dad hadn't visited her!
Tesco had no baked beans, I find that hard to believe!! Does everyone exist on a diet of beans in January??“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Hi ladies,Mr Frost has been here today as well,Oma that snow would not impress me one bit I hate it with a passion.
I have just looked through recent posts and find the post I wrote about my DD fainting was not there I must have forgotten to press the button when I finished typing anyway she is fine now and her poorly knee's are healing well I'm sure it was her blood pressure she just does not rest always working and running about after the family Dr does not seem to be worried.
All the decorations are back in the loft and as I was taking them down I had a surge of energy and through all sorts away so a mini spring clean in fact and I feel so much better for it.
I'll catch up soon for now I am off to The Range with my friend she needs to buy some bits and bobs for her lounge so you can be sure I'll find something interesting. Glamma xKeep Calm,You're Fabulous

Enfys - I'm so sorry I didn't see your post about your DD when I was on here earlier. She must have felt very shaken up and you did the right thing taking her to A&E. I hope she doesn't find aches and pains appearing in a day or two. Is she resting and taking it easy for a few days? Driving home in the dark in all the traffic must have been horrible - well done for getting back safely. I should think you were both in need of a good cup of tea. xxx
Glamm - I remember you saying about your DD fainting and hurting her knees, so it's here somewhere. When you next feel like a mini spring clean, you'd be welcome here, anytime. I tidied up the Christmas decoration boxes this time and that felt like quite an achievement! Did your friend get what she wanted at The Range? Were you tempted by anything as well?
Oma - it sounds as though it's going to be treacherous round your way tomorrow. Have you got to go out, or can you stay safely indoors? It started to rain here about lunch-time and it's been cold and miserable all day. Yes, our internet connection drives me nuts sometimes, but today it was Sainsbury' site that was slow. I've noticed it before if I've been on in the late afternoon. I should have done it earlier but was busy painting! It was so cold and miserable I didn't even take Eva out - and I don't think she minded too much!

Good morning, I am back in the world of the living after sleeping for 12 hours! I went to the fysio and I got exercises to do for the vertigo, he said it will clear but can come back then I just have to do the exercises again, he explained to me how it all worked showing me video's etc. I came home and did the first set, they actually made me feel sick, the man said that could happen, so, I went to bed and slept! I hardly slept at all the night before so I was tired.
Daisy, I always had problems with sea sickness and one of the crew members told me, years ago, to put an ear plug in as it helps the balance, left if your are right handed, I did it and I always had one with me when travelling. The calendar is hung in the kitchen, I have made them and albums for the girls over the years, this is good quality and a fast delivery.
Enfys, I do hope your daughter has recovered, luckily you were close to take her to A&E, I am not keen on driving in the dark, it didn't use to bother me, it must be an age thing!
Glamm, I did read about your daughter falling, I do hope she has recovered now and taking care of herself.xx Did you buy anything at the Range?
Oma, it must be cold in your "neck of the woods"!
Gem, yes, it is sad your mum asking about your father, strange how the mind works.
Plant, a good thing that you found the letter.
I have treatment this morning, I will have to be careful when I get off the couch!
I read yesterday that there is a lady missing in the next village, 67 years old, she went for a walk yesterday morning, I have just read that they haven't found her yet.

Good morning everyone.
Glamma, it's hard to go to The Range and not buy things!
Oma, all was OK at mum's bungalow. We turned the heaters up slightly and removed any post. There was letter threatening action if she didn't buy a TV licence. So once again I had to go online and declare that she didn't watch any Tv of any kind or download things, and that no one lives there!
Lizzie, you must have been tired! Yes, be careful getting down from the couch.
Will you be painting today Daisy?
Golf for OH this morning, They cancelled yesterday's as the weather was so dismal. School pick ups for me this afternoon, and GD and GS2 here for tea.
