Good morning, Oma that is unbelievable regarding the carpets. Similar price rise to the de-scaler that I still find unbelievable!

Plant, that was a nasty accident with the little one, they can be so fast when they want to touch things, GD2 pulled a glass of boiling water over herself when she was a toddler, she was scalded on her chest and they had to go to the hospital with her, a few times actually, I can remember DIL phoning me to see if I could go and look after GD1. Luckily it healed up fine. I can imagine how your house smells Plant, when DS2 came the other evening, I put a pan on with fat in then decided to do something else, only a few minutes but the air was blue! DS2 even commented on it. I have had everyone open and the ventilation fully open and I can't smell it today.

Gem, you will all pleased to be home.

I have been to Delft to the market, for my cheese but my cheese man in on holiday so I had to go to another one.

My new bike should be here at 8am tomorrow so I want to go and get the mirror etc off the one I have. I won't be sorry to see it go!

The sun is out after our downpours yesterday.

That is true Oma, I have got used to this awful thing so should cope! I will see if I can find a photo of the one I have. It looks handy with the low frame, but, not for me!

Another beautiful day here.
Cleaned all through today. Washing is on the line.

Daisy, the bungalow garden is very very overgrown.
Council said the gardeners will be there in about 6 weeks, well it will all be done before then.

Dinner today is pork chops(think of Gem) mash,green beans and mushrooms. Oh and gravy.

I have sprayed everywhere with Fabrese, Sil has just been in and said it smells a mixer of smoke and Fabrese. Good aqua class this morning but I have come home with a lumpy sore throat (cold on the way?).

Plant - I hope the lumpy sore throat is just caused by the chemicals in the swimming pool, not the onset of a cold.

Oma -is B cooking a 5 course banquet tonight to christen the new oven? Eva says yes please, when can she come for a cuddle. The treats would be good as well! That's bad news about carpet prices. When our patio is finished we wanted to get all new carpets for the stairs, landing and 3 bedrooms. I'm glad your SIL's business is weathering the storm though. I just wish he was closer.

Nanto - I would think it's much better getting the garden sorted out now, rather than the end of November!

Lizzie - to my inexpert eye the bike looks lovely, but it isn't what you would have chosen for your 'stand in' bike. Where will you go to try out your new one tomorrow?

I don't seem to have done much today. I've tidied up some parts of the lawn and evened them out a bit, then I reseeded the bare patches. The rain last Saturday has washed away some areas of seed. I'm just about to do the Sainsbury's order, and that's about it.

Daisy, the new bike should be here early, then, I have to get it insured before I venture out on it, I have treatment at 10am then expecting a parcel, after that someone is coming to look at my CPAP, I have sleep apnea, I have a new machine but oh dear, what a noise it makes. So, it will be late afternoon before I get out on the bike I think.

My neighbour has been with fruit from the Lidl Too Good To go box, we share! She also brought me some hand made soap and a shampoo bar.

Then DS1 called in whilst out on his bike, he has a ride while GD2 has her football training then he picks her up and they cycle home together.

Oma, enjoy the meal out of the new oven.

We have had a Sainsbury's order this afternoon which we have put away.
We have caught up with some telly. It was a luxury to be able to sit down for more than 10 minutes!
I will finish my holiday journal in the morning.

I'll be going to dads this morning. Hubby will be out with his pal.
This afternoon we will probably be helping in the garden at the bungalow.
