Plant, I am sure your family will give you and your chair a lift to the common.
My sister is 63. She is mentally handicapped, almost blind and suffers from (controlled) epilepsy. All conditions caused at her premature birth. She cant speak or communicate but is physically mobile. Aside from those conditions her general health has always been good. It was so unusual for her to be suddenly not eating drinking or standing, that paramedics were called and she was taken to hospital. We will probably never know what caused that.

      Good Sunday morning everyone.

Sorry I didn't make it on to here yesterday, but I'll catch up later. We went out very early so OH could get a good long day making skirting boards for the room DS1 and DIL are renovating. They got them all done, and he and GS1 put the first coat of paint on the ceiling and one wall before it got too dark to work - there are no electrics in the room at the moment. We got home about 1 am, absolutely shattered. OH is still asleep!

It's a beautiful sunny day - I think we should have a day off to recover.

Good Morning ladies, I am determined to have a lazy day today and rest this week has been so busy for me, I even did the last of the ironing which I never intended I started to look through the ironing basket for a favourite T-shirt and decided to do the bits which where in there I didn't find the T-shirt though I am going to check through my wardrobes again to-day it may be hung under something else I hope so as I want it for my holiday.

I am not doing a roast today for Jim & I I bought a three fish roast from lidl cod/salmon/haddock in a creamy sauce topped with a breadcrumb & fried onion crusty topping I picked up a ready made sauce parsley & lemon so it should be tasty, serving with a few Jersey Royals and long stemmed broccoli and his favourite rice pudding so all nice and easy meal for us today.

Next week I go for another eye test after all the eye treatment I have had the chap I saw said there was a good improvement in the latest tests so I really expect to buy a new set of spec's for everyday wear and prescription sunglasses so I have that expense to look forward to I may just ask them to replace the lens in my sunglasses as I like the frames I have they are large Jackie-O type and they are comfortable to wear.

Little DGD called in on Thursday with my DS1 she was still excited over her party and told me of all the lovely gifts she received she got a new bike from mummy & daddy so she now wants a baby seat for her Annabelle dolly to sit at the front of her bike Annabelle goes everywhere with her I think its lovely for a little one to have a special dolly.

Just after DS1 left DS2 arrived for a quick visit he and his wife had been up to Scotland to stay for 3 days in a holiday cottage with their dog he said the area was wonderful I forgot to ask where it was as he didn't stay long I have had so many visits this week I feel really spoilt.

The sciatic problem seems to have eased off a lot its probably due to the exercise I've done this week as I have done quite a lot of walking a lot more than usual so I will keep it up every day even sleeping at night has become better.

Bye for now xx Glamma xx

Hallo everyone, late today, I have been sorting blouses etc out, almost finished! Then I made banana cake before going for a bike ride.

I am planning on going to this in Rotterdam. https://rooftopwalk.nl/?lang=en

Glamm, you have been busy, when do you go away? It will be nice if your eyes have improved. A good thing your sciatica has improved.

Daisy, you and DH would be tired out!

Gem, I hope the lunch went well and that your knee improves, the injection didn't help my poor foot!

My bursts of energy today have all been in my head. We've both felt tired, and my back was so sore I had a lie down after lunch. I have just cut the lawn though and am about to go and cook dinner. I'm sure it won't be as tasty as Glamm's fish dish. OH has fixed a leaky tap in the utility room and is now re-oiling the wooden work top there.

Glamm - pleased to hear you've had such a lovely week, and you sciatica is much better. Fingers crossed for good news about your eyes.

Gem - I hope you've taken is easy and rested your knee today. How does it feel? I do hope your sister is ok. It must be very hard for her to communicate when she isn't well. xx

Nanto - I hope you enjoy the baby shower.

Oma - take it easy with Storm. I'm sure he's loving his walks with you but build up your stamina gradually. What a lovely pic of your DD and GD1 - they do look like brother and sister.

Plant - I'm surprised how much the garden has dried out after all the rain the other day. I hope you've managed to give yours plenty of water.

WeeGranny - is your wrist ok now? It's lovely to hear how you are gradually settling down in your new home and adding your touch to it. When does the decorating start?

Daisy no wonder you both felt tired. After yesterday you deserved a rest today!!
Have the robins flown? Can you book a break in your caravan now?

The fish dish sounds very nice Glamma. I am so glad the sciatica problems is easier.

Lizzie, you must have no fear of heights to do the rooftop walk!

I haven't tested my knee by walking far. Partly because we had friends round, and because I was told to try and rest it when possible for 48 hours .
It definitely feels less painful so we shall see once I am actually testing it out with my normal activities next week.
We had a nice catch up over lunch with our friends and they stayed until around 4.30.

Daisy I'm not surprised your back is hurting all the gardening you have been doing ,

Nanto pleased you enjoyed the baby shower , we brought food home from Clare's too , always more than you can eat in one sitting isn't there ,

Oma - it's difficult keeping track of all your DD's pets. I hope Buzz and Tallulah eat tonight. I'm sure you will appreciate the rest tomorrow. Eva was so tired today I haven't walked her. She and Bailey (DS1's BC) were on the go all day yesterday and she's been asleep nearly all day today. I suppose that's when we notice she's getting older - she can't take the pace so much. Bit like me, really!

Nanto - it sounds as though the baby shower was quite a party. How nice to have something to bring home as well.

Gem - we're going to check the robins' nest tomorrow. The babies should have flown by now (fingers crossed). How lovely to see your friends, and I'm sure resting your knee was the right thing to do.

Lizzie - I love the idea of the roof top walk - what amazing views you must have.

                      Good morning everyone.

I'm glad the baby shower went well Nan2. Did they know what sex the baby is? There was a baby shower at the cafe after DDs, and all was pink. Ours was a boring green and yellow theme!

I bet the robins will have vacated their mobile home Daisy!

It's good that you will have a rest from dog walking Oma. It cant be easy with a big dog.

This afternoon I am going to see my mum. No other plans today, although washing must be done, the basket is getting full!

                      Have a good day ladies.

All these new babies arriving, how exciting.

Oma, you two are always busy decorating or changing things, I don’t like upheaval . Don’t overdo the walking with Storm.

Daisy, I would imagine the robins have flown and you can start to plan a trip.

Gemini, I hope you find your mum in good spirits.

I still haven’t unpacked all my things, the weather has been so nice that can wait. I had a call from Dil yesterday asking me to pop to there place, she needed some advice and help with their garden, they are celebrating their 35th Wedding Anniversary there on Sat.

Good morning, so many babies soon to be welcomed to the world!

Oma, you will just have to accept what B does then do it your own way when you feel up to it! Easier said than done.

I have a black box Oma for my insurance, I pay according to the (few) kms I ride.

I can't go to the pool, I phoned the surgery and I have an appointment at 2pm, I have a pain in my left side just under my ribs and after the flu my voice has never recovered really so she can listen to my lungs. I would rather go to aqua though.

I have been to the synergy circuit, I go to the gym daily but this is intensive!!! I was talking to the young boys that were doing the lesson and they told me you can't compare it.

Gem, I hope the visit to your mum goes well.

Daisy, I love the sky line of Rotterdam, I used to really enjoy going to the top of the Euromast to admire the views.

Daisy, my splint is off and I have my car back from DD! I drove to hers yesterday and we went to an artisan fair in Amersham. It was lovely with all sorts of artisanal stalls...lots of gin and booze and a good selection of food. I bought a lovely reed diffuser and some baklava, not from the same stall. We took a walk along the High Street and I ended up buying a lovely framed photo which will go nicely in the dining area and a summer dress plus a bracelet whose stones are the same colours as the dress! Dropped DD off and came back here and planted some of the stuff I'd bought the previous day. DD and doggo came for dinner and he did his usual exploring of the house, but he didn't want to go for a walk round the common! GS for dinner tonight after his cricket practice.

Bit overcast today but not cold. I have a list of calls to make so I need to psych myself up to get on with that job.

Daisy, I'm not expecting to get any decorating done before August and I think the outside will probably be next year!

Lizzie, I hope all goes well with your doctor's appointment. You don't know how lucky you are being able to see a doctor at such short notice!

Hope everyone has a good day and that Storm isn't too keen on going on any more walks Oma. Doggo used to have several walks a day when he was younger, but it's only on his terms now! If he doesn't want to go, no amount of cajoling will make him!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
