              Oma - Thank goodness! xxx

Gem - how did your parties go today? I hope you mum enjoyed herself and was able to have a trip round the village as well as enjoy events at the home. Did it stay fine?

The weather forecast for Sunday afternoon doesn't look good for our alternative street party. If it's wet we'll put out gazebo up and invite our neighbours in. OH has been renovating some garden chairs and tables, but will probably run out of Hammerite before he's finished. I hope the local ironmongers has got the right colour in.

We filled by car up today - ยฃ95! I'm glad I don't do a big mileage.

Good morning everyone, Daisy, I cycled past the garage yesterday afternoon, petrol here is โ‚ฌ2,43, that is over the ยฃ2, that is in the village, along the motorways it is much more expensive!!

It is Whit weekend here but the expensive petrol hasn't stopped people going away!

I called in to see my friend yesterday, she has lovely hair and I said how nice it looked, she told me she had it cut as it is her birthday next week, it is her birthday on December 15th! She recognises me etc but has no idea of days, weeks, months etc. She has played tennis for years with 3 ladies out of the village, they take it in turns to pick her up on a Friday morning for her tennis session, which I find very good of them, how it goes I do not know but she enjoys it, they sometimes go out for lunch afterwards, they had done that yesterday.

Rain forecast here as well, I hope to go to the material market on Monday, it could be a wet ride.

Gem,hope you had a lovely day yesterday.

Lizzie your poor friend she is confused isnโ€™t she ,
The price of fuel is shocking but what can be done about it ? We have no choice but pay if we want to use the car .

Hope everyone is doing ok ,
We going to Screwfix this morning I want new radiator valves for two of my radiators , the ones we have on are going a dirty yellow/white and they wonโ€™t clean up , hate looking at them .

Have the bedding in the wash then I will have to wash my dressing gown I spilt a lot of milk on it this morning ,
My hands shook and I dropped my cereal bowl saved it hitting the floor with my arm and chest , if I leave it it will stink ๐Ÿ™„

                      Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto - enjoy your grand tour today. No cooking either!

Lizzie, I'm sure the weekly tennis sessions help your friend - I read recently that exercise makes a difference, but it's sad she's confused about days and months.

Oma - I hope Clare has had a comfortable night. Another exciting day in the Oma house hold - trip to Screwfix, Wow. I sympathise over the milk. I was fetching our 3 pints in off the doorstep this morning and one of them slipped out of my hand. I just caught it, but was then stuck, half bent over, clutching the 3 bottles. I had to stagger to the bottom of the stairs to lower them onto a step. It looked as though one had something like orange juice spilt on it. My dressing gown is heading for the wash as well!

An exciting day for me - bedding and towels need washing, and I want to defrost the chest freezer before the dog food arrives at lunch time. Plus, do some baking for our alternative street party tomorrow afternoon.

My GS 2 is having to borrow my car to go to a wedding in Leicester. DD and Sil are away with both keys to my DDโ€™s car so I had to quickly get him insured on my car. We have had early rain but the sun is out, I hope it will be fine, there is a lot going on on our common today.

Oma, I just looked at my radiator valve, it is a cream colour but so is my radiator, phew, no trip to screw fix for me.

Expecting GS, I will be back

                          Good morning ladies.

Oma, you must all be so relieved and happy about baby Fin. Screwfix, what fun!!!

Lizzie, its lovely that you and other friends take the time to visit and take that friend out. Days, dates and times of year seem to be one of the things which go with these conditions.

Daisy, I am shocked by the price every time I fill up my little car.

Busy shopping day Nan2, lunch out is always good

The sun shone for the Jubilee celebrations yesterday. Mum loved getting out into the fresh air and seeing all 3 GDs and all 3 GGC. Plus SIL2 and his parents. Seeing so many and the general amount of people and colour and busyness around the village was a lot for her though, and she was very disorientated when we took her back. OH, DD3 and I went back up to her room as she was crying and thinking she was being left in a totally new place. It took quite a while and us showing her her photos and familiar things for her to be reassured that this was in fact her room and she had lived there some time. She was very tired and once she was settled down again we left her for a nap.
She had been upset and unwilling to come out when OH and I went for her, it took much persuasion to get her out and even going down on the stairlift she kept saying ''You 2 go on your own"! The being out is worth it I suppose as she is happy and enjoys it, but the processes at either end are hard! The main thing is she did enjoy being with family. GS1, aged 9 is the most loving little boy I have met and he gave her a lot of cuddles throughout the afternoon, bless him

We had a lovely time at DD2's. Family barbecue and lots of chat.
I told DD3 that of the 3 GransRus baby's expected, we now knew 2 were boys so our chance of having a girl was greater (totally non scientific know!) She said that of the mums at her pregnancy yoga class who knew what they were having most are expecting were girls. So in that group by my method she would be more likely to have a boy! Well, in a months time we will know one way or the other.

                          No plans today

Gem itโ€™s hard when you know they will enjoy themselves once they are out , at least you had DD and S with you to reassure her Whatever DD has i hope her labour is short and straight forward and they are both healthy .
E is such a caring boy Iโ€™m sure your Mum enjoyed her cuddles ๐Ÿ˜

Plant just as well you could get him on your insurance , what would he do without Granny ๐Ÿ˜
Will you be walking down to the Common or is it too far ?

Daisy itโ€™s that shuffle to the step thatโ€™s making me laugh I can just imagine you waddling like a duck trying to not drop the bottles ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Good Morning everyone from a lovely sunny Merseyside the sun is cracking the flags here.

Last night my neighbour and I walked down to the Prom to see the lights across the water on Liverpool front it was spectacular we then had a slow walk back at about 9pm,this afternoon we are going down onto our main Road for celebrations put on by the local shop keepers I'm looking forward to a nice slice of cake & coffee from our local bistro yummy

Daisy I was laughing about your milk performance are you in the market for taking up juggling for a hobby. Nothing worse than the aroma of stale milk.

Oma a new baby how wonderful I hope mum is OK and resting after such an ordeal poor girl x

This week I have sorted everything I need to take on holiday with me its only 16 days to go,tried on all my dresses etc and treated myself to a new sunhat at great expense from Primark for ยฃ3

I need suggestions for a really good ceiling paint which does not drip all over the place I need to do my kitchen ceiling I didn't manage to do it when I had the decorating done it has discoloured very quickly for some reason and with the flooring being new I don't want drips everywhere I am hopeless with paint and choosing the right one.

Off to wash the hair before I go out for the afternoon enjoy the rest of the Jubilee week-end x

                              Talk soon xx glamma xx

No advice from me Glamm I am afraid. I hate decorating and would be making a mess everywhere. Mine are all emulsion white paint.

Gemini, your mother looked so happy being out with you all, it was worth the persuasion to get her there, shame she was upset when you took her back.

GS and his partner have gone to Leicester and DD and Sil have returned from Devon. I decided not to go up to the green, the events are mainly for children and parents. This evening there is a live concert and tomorrow an outdoor service and we say goodbye to our lovely vicar, he is retiring.

I hope you are all enjoying the Jubilee events either live or on television.
