Got back from holiday about 5 and collapsed in bed before 10. I am so so tired. Too much walking for me but I had a lovely time with lovely people. I used my stick a lot and my arm and shoulder ache. I have an empty fridge, I donโ€™t feel like a big shop so I will get something out of the freezer and pick up a few pieces

Gem that hotel holiday sounds like I could do with now to relax my body. Interesting place Ironbridge, went there with OH years ago, I expect they have added more to it. I love the bridge. Is the teddy bear shop still there?

Daisy, surely your garden is finished now so you can sit and relax once the sun comes out. We were too far west to have the storm.

Oma, 10 days spoiling Storm, he will love it. I hope B visit to the hospital goes well. My Mil only liked thing from certain shops, they probably have the same supplier.

WG, I hope you can get rid of that grey in the SR soon. Your GS must love having you so close

Good morning everyone, I have just been to the market in Zoetermeer, I prefer the one in Delft for cheese but thunder etc was forecast yesterday morning so I didn't bother, we had one heavy storm at 12am then it was dry, the same is forecast for later today.

Daisy, those are the hearing aids the lady advised for me, I am just waiting for the specialist to give his permission, it could be just the one, I will know more on Tuesday.

Gem, yes, we do silly things at times, I hope you feel better today, whilst away I ordered a fish pan by the meal, very nice, only there was 1 shrimp in it, I thought the one wouldn't harm me, it did, I felt my lips swelling, luckily I had my tablets with me. I will know better the next time.

Nanto, we all have extra's in for the grandchildren! Oma, has the same for Storm!!! I haven't as much as when I used to look after them twice a week, I do still have some things though.

GD2 messaged me yesterday, when they were younger they had a cash desk with till, they spent hours playing with is, it was one of the things I haven't parted with, I put it down in the shed. GD2 asked if I still had it as they want one for the musical, I told her I still have it so she was pleased.

Plant you would be tired, I am pleased you enjoyed the break though.

WG, will you have to wait long for the decorating?

Oma, I hope the hospital visits for B go well.

I have just booked a short break at the end of August to the same B&B, I was telling DS1 how much I enjoyed it so he said it would be wise to book a few more days away at the end of August so I have done. It is almost fully booked so I am pleased he suggested it.

Hello everyone. I haven't just got up! Sainsbury's were here on the dot of 7 o'clock. I put everything away and had time for a shower before going for a blood test. Just an annual routine one.

I got to the hospital a bit early so went in half expecting to be told to go back outside to wait, but I was seen straight away. The phlebotomy clinic is very small - just room for 4 stations. The nurse had almost finished when the teenage girl in the next cubicle collapsed. The nurse gave me something to put on my arm and literally within 30 seconds the crash team had arrived and they were working on the poor girl. After 5 minutes or so a different member of staff came to see if I was ok - of course I was, but I definitely didn't want to get in anyone's way. Eventually there was room for me to get out, but the girl was still unconscious. I just hope they were able to resuscitate her.

It's when things like that happen so suddenly and unexpectedly that you realise how good our NHS is in an emergency. You could hear the concern in their voices but everyone knew exactly what they were doing.

I'll catch up on here a bit later - I hope everyone's ok.

Oma - I do hope B's hospital appoints go well and he can go to yearly check ups. I hope it's not too much of a rush to get from one hospital to another, but good to get them over with in one day.

Good Morning ladies,I have been on the missing list for a few days,my friend D came to stay last Sunday to come with me to the eye clinic last Monday she ended up staying until yesterday as we where having such a good time together.
We have been out everyday going into Chester & Liverpool dropping in at some nice little cafe's & shops my pal loves charity shops she always finds the bargains she found 2 x dresses ideal for her up and coming holiday both with new labels I found nothing of interest

Gems it sounds as though you had a really good time away holidays seem like buses either none at all or they all come at once.

Oma I hope you get a yearly recall for B that would be wonderful for you both.

Last week-end was little DGDs 4 birthday my friend and I dropped in to take gifts she was so engrossed with her little friends she just waved at me and shouted hello nana we only stayed 40mins as the noise was deafening with 30+ little ones all singing and dancing about.

I'm off now to do a mini spring clean now my pal has gone home to Halewood all the bedding to be washed and the quilts to be changed so will catch up over the week-end.

                  xx glamma xx

Daisy how awful that poor girl I bet it was scary for you listening to it all too , ido hope you donโ€™t read of her death in the paper or on the local news and she is fine

Lizzie well done booking another break ,
we also kept a few things belonging to the boys ,we have them in the loft the rest have long gone now though .

That's good news Oma. I am sure today's test results will be fine too ๐Ÿ˜Š

Daisy, that poor girl. I do hope she was OK.

I think it's lovely that you have friends to stay Glamma

We went to Ironbridge again this morning. The teddy bear shop is still there Plant.
Our journey back was very long and slow, but we got home safely by about 4.
We took the cat to the vet. He had his claws trimmed and a check. He has a heart murmur, which we knew about, but apart from that doing quite well for his age

Oma - that's such good news, B not having to go for a check up for a year. I do hope the tests from the second appointment are all clear too. I know it's always an anxious time, but isn't he a miracle!

I've been thinking about that young girl all day. I'll probably never know what happened, but I do hope she revived and is ok.

Gem - I'm glad you're safely home and Mr Cat also has a good medical report. I know you mentioned S was going to the hospital for hearing care, but she could still stay with the NHS through Specsavers, Scrivens and (I think) Boots. They act as NHS agents, but give you appointments much quicker. It's a shame if she's struggling and waiting so long.

Lizzie - let us know if the specialist advises the same hearing aids for you. Today is the first full day with mine, and I have to say after about half an hour I forgot all about them. You can't feel them and the sound is much more natural than my old ones.

Glamm - what a lovely week you've had. Your friend did well in the charity shops. Chester is a lovely place to shop, isn't it! I bet 30 4 year olds had you putting your hands over your ears.

Plant - welcome back to you as well. It sounds as though you need a few days to relax and get your energy back after all that walking. Take care, dear. xx

Nanto - I hope the hedgehogs behave themselves tonight.

Daisy we have looked into it and our local health authority doesn't provide hearing care anywhere but the hospital.
