Very cold this morning. Had a bit of snow yesterday and had snow overnight.

Just put a joint of pork in the slow cooker, for a roast pork dinner.

          Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I was very surprised to wake up to a covering of snow! The sun is shining now so I think it will soon be gone.

Oma, thanks, I have deleted the post and banned and deleted the twit.

Free day today. I was to have visited my mum but am not allowed of course. Her line was very faint on the test yesterday so I hope she will test negative soon.
I am going to give the spare bedroom a deep clean ready for the cat sitters.

How are you today Plant, if you feel up to looking in? Sending love xx

I hope everyone else is OK.

I have just tested positive for Covid, I am not surprised. I have been testing for days, Sil brought me in one of their kits last evening and I used it this morning. I feel If I have flu but no temperature. My DD is still testing positive, so far her OH is still negative.

Oh I am sorry Plant, but not surprised as you were with family just before they tested positive.
Wishing you a very speedy recovery, and please rest and take care of yourself xxx

Good morning everyone. It sounds as though winter has returned to some parts of the country. I know snow in March/April isn't that unusual but after the recent warm weather it feels as though we're going backwards!

Nanto - you've chosen the right day for a warming roast pork dinner!

Gem - I do hope your Mum's next test is clear. I had a faint line for 3 days before it disappeared, so I hope your Mum's clears faster than that!

Plant - so sorry to hear you've tested positive, although as Gem says you had been exposed to the virus. Rest and drink plenty of fluids. If you can sleep so much the better. Sending you a big hug. I hope your SIL escapes getting it. xx

I wonder what Glamm is up to today with her friend staying over. I bet they're out shopping, but it will be a bit chilly if they've got the cold, cutting wind we've got here.

We had an early start with Sainsburys delivering today. We're going up to stay overnight at DS1 and DIL1's this evening. Tomorrow DIL and I are having a spa day, which I'm really looking forward to, and OH and DS1 are going to the Haynes Motor museum, which is something they'll both enjoy. Eva is going to stay with Cooper. We didn't want to leave her all day at DS1's with everyone out (Bailey's ok as the dog walker takes him out for 2-3 hours!) We're probably coming back home tomorrow night, but it will be a nice break.

MIL was lovely for a change it was nice to visit her today
We did have jobs to do and go to the shops but I don’t mind when she asks nicely ,

Took her Chilli & rice , Stroganoff with mash green beans and Broccoli
A Cauliflower cheese , Rhubarb Charlotte with custard and one to put in freezer and some cakes .

So she is fed for couple of days ,

The snow came down thick and was swirling , it was bitter cold but gone again now , think we have had all seasons in one day .

Plant you poor thing , I hope it passes quickly and you get nothing worse than cold symptoms ,

I'm glad MIL was on form Oma. You do take her nice things!

I hope I can visit mum on either Sunday or Monday Oma, and then again on the Thursday before we go away on Friday. I have to wait for the go ahead from the home though.
DD3 and baby are fine thanks She is coming for tea tomorrow night as SIL is away.

Well it has been the strangest weather day! Heavy swirling snow and dark skies, several times, punctuated by breezy sunny spells. I actually got towels three quarters dry in one of the nice spells.
Golf was cancelled so OH washed the windows and frames in the spare room, and helped me make up the bed, so I only had hoovering and dusting left to do. A much quicker job than I expected

Good afternoon. A real change in The weather, very cold here today. Went to my Knit and Natter as usual so had a good morning. Hope you feel better soon Plant, thank you for the message.

Had a FaceTime with DS yesterday, they are coming home for a holiday in July! So excited. He and DIL will stay with me but Will will stay with DD over the road. I must’nt wish the time away but can’t wait.

Next door have been having a new roof so there’s scaffolding up my drive, it’s finished today so hopefully the scaffolding can come down. It’s been OK but will be pleased when it’s gone.

Some lovely meals for your MIl, Oma. Always nice to have meals in the freezer.

Hallo, it is very cold here, I managed a (cycle) ride to visit my friend, she expected us going for a bike ride but I told her that would be next week! She was having one of her (strange) days, she had lost her disc to get into her room, how I do not know as it is fixed on a band which she has to wear round her neck, the band was there, no disc. I took her for a walk round the shops, she wanted to put all I bought straight into her handbag ( I have never seen her with a handbag before), we then went back to the home for coffee, that went well, we were chatting to an elderly man and he seemed quite fine whilst talking to us. I was just taking her back to her floor when 2 young ladies arrived to visit her, before she went there she was going to a "care nursery" 3 days a week and they were from there. I was assured they would take her back to her floor after their coffee and chat.

Plant, get plenty of rest, have you food in the house or are you not feeling like eating? Saying that, Oma could come and fill your freezer for you!

You do so well Oma, looking after your MIL.

Daisy, enjoy your break away, you will enjoy the spa.

Glamm, I hope it isn't as cold for you and your friend to be out and about.

                            Nanto, the pork sound delicious!

Lizzie, your poor friend. Its good that you watch out for her.

Oma, MIL has a few lovely meals to keep her going for a few days.

Virgin sent us a copy of the new contract today.. Saved it to the computer, but printed a copy as well.
                              We've got a reduction of £20 a month.

Weather today was snow, sunshine and a bit of wind.

Lizzie Bs two sisters go and take meals too , his older Sister takes her stuff on a Monday but she doesn’t always like her food as his sister doesn’t use salt or seasoning and everything is low this , low that .
M I L likes to taste her food and at 88 we can’t see the point of her having low salt and fat to be honest she’s healthy apart from her age but his Sister won’t budge on the subject .
His younger sister takes nice food too .

Gem you will be away for your Anniversary this year , are you planning anything nice while away ?

Nanto that was a good deal in this climate when everything is going up , well done .

Enfys what a lovely thing to look forward too , they will soon be here , are they staying long ?

Plant how you feeling today ?
