I told the librarian yesterday that I won't be in this afternoon. I feel OK actually, but it does come and go so I think rest is a good idea.
Two of our local friends plus two from Scotland are coming for an early evening takeaway and catch up at our house. Each October these friends ( mutual to the four of us) stay in a cottage in the Yorkshire Dales for a week and meet up with us all.

Good afternoon. Windy and rainy here today so I’m pleased I got the garden done yesterday.

Walked up to the chemist for my flu jab this morning only to be told they had none! Apparently they had been promised a delivery but it hasn’t come, this is for the over 65’s. Came home rang my doctors and I have an appointment for next Tuesday. They said they have had no problem getting the over 65’s vaccine but have had problems with the other ones! Also had a text saying I could book my Covid booster so will have that on Friday at a different pharmacy. I asked if they were also doing flu jabs but no, only Covid so it seems that different pharmacies are doing different vaccinations.

Have hoovered and dusted now going to have lunch and just relax a bit this afternoon. I have a good book on the go so might get on with that, who knows? Hope you all have a good day 🌞

Enfys I wasn't aware there was a different Flu jab for over 65's
We both had ours a couple of weeks ago and had the same one , I am 65 B is almost 67
No one mentioned anything to us , how strange ,

Shame they cant do both your Jabs together and at the same place ,
I suppose its a trip out though x

Gave my Kitchen cupboards a good clean out and the food cupboard where I keep Pasta, Home baking goods etc
The half packs of this and that were put in the bin plus stuff we never use .
A lot more room now to fill with crap again

Oma, when we went for our flu jabs back in September they told us it was a different vaccine for over 65's this time, and that you were a bit more likely to have a reaction to it.

We just had a massive downpour here. It was really dark, but now the sun is out!
OH tried to save pigeon this morning. I will start a thread about that.

Yes weather in Norfolk was good. Not so today in Cambridgeshire! I’ve got to pick gs up from school and it’s currently raining! Made 7 jars of marmalade this morning from the Sevilles I froze in January.

Good morning. Had quite a bit of rain,but its stopped now.

Our meal last night was really nice. Both of us enjoyed every bit of it.

BIL got home from hospital yesterday evening. We will speak to him sometime today.

Not sure what is happening today. The last of the garden rubbish was going to be burnt yesterday.
But it rained quite heavily, so hopefully that will get done today, if it doesn't rain again.

We had such a good afternoon and evening with our friends.
We hadn't seen the Scottish ones for two years as they didn't come to Yorkshire last year, due to the pandemic. It was really good to get together and they are interested in joining the Monday nights quiz group. They are in their 4o's, so it will be good to have some younger blood!

Nothing on the agenda for me today. I am feeling much better thank goodness. Golf for OH, and I think I will pop to Aldi for few things, otherwise have a lazy day.

We have been to Aldi for a few things then B is picking DD up she had to go into the office this morning for two hours and SIL is using her car till his new Van arrives tomorrow .

Good Morning everyone, Still feeling fluey but not too bad just a wee bit chesty and runny nose and I can go to sleep as soon as I sit down,yesterday I was up early and back in bed at mid-day until 2.30pm then back in bed at 7.30 and slept until 4am this morning I feel brighter I thought I had managed to shake it off on Monday but it has come back with a vengeance so am staying home today.

The sun is shining here on The Wirral its so warm today I wish I felt like going out maybe a short walk later on after youngest son has visited,I have stopped DGD (youngest 3yrs) from visiting today I don't want her picking up any sniffles and passing on at nursery school I would not be popular at all.

I have not seen the rogue cat for the past few days I have been putting Ollies food in the kitchen cupboard when he has finished eating so I think said cat has found somewhere else to steal from.

Hallo everyone, the sun is out at the moment, but it can rain at any time, I have to go to the hospital so I hope it stays dry for me to get to the metro.

Glamm, I was at my DIL2 yesterday and she can't get rid of the sore throat etc.

Very sunny here, I have washing on the line. It's nice for OH as their Tuesday golf was cancelled due to rain.

Just got back from Aqua, feeling tired, lovely sunshine but it is a very cold wind. There will not be any more aqua classes until the new year we have just been told. They are going to renovate the pool area.

Glamm. Sorry to hear you are still feeling poorly, I am still not a 100%. Best not to get too near little ones. Pleased to hear you have managed to stop the rogue cat.
