Good morning all. It's early but very warm already and guess who has decided that we will have a Sunday roast will all the trimmings. I predict a very hot kitchen later today!
I didn't watch the football yesterday but it was awful about the football player who had a suspected heart attack on the pitch. Apparently the BBC is getting a lot of complaints about the coverage of it. Many people are saying, quite rightly so, that the cameras should have stopped streaming the scenes on the pitch as first aiders gave him CPR .
Welcome home Lizzie.
WeeGranny shame about the delay in your house move , it must be extremely frustrating, house moving is stressful enough without additional difficulties
Oma how is your niece
Gem any news about Henry
Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning ladies.
Nan2, yes get on before it's too warm to!
Gosh Mimi, Sunday roast is one of my favourite meals, but not sure I'd be keen to cook one on a hot day!
So very sad about that poor football player. I do hope he is OK
No news on Henry. On the way to see our friends last night we put up a few more posters on notice boards around the village.
Not sure what todays plans are. A hot day is forecast, we may spend some of it enjoying the garden in the shade.

Good Sunday morning, everyone.
Since the power cut yesterday our internet has gone into meltdown as well. I couldn't get online last night, and I've just spent nearly an hour getting online this morning. So I'll say "hello" - we've got to go over to DS2's soon so I'll hope for a better connection later today. Take care in the sun. Mimi - enjoy that roast even if it is a hot day.

We are still hoping Oma. As you say we are doing all we can. Not knowing is hard.
People care I know, but I'm finding it hard having to reply to so many people each day getting in touch asking if he is back. I keep telling everyone if he is back I will be widely announcing it!!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning, it is sad about the footballer, I wasn't watching it so I do not know what was shown, but, it is a strange world, I told you about that poor child that was killed in Leiden last week, I read that people were just stood filming it!!
When GD2 was a baby, 12 years ago, I bought 2 huge white sheets and made a blind for the balcony as it can get very hot. I have used it over the years as it keeps the house cool as well, I brought it up yesterday and washed it, I must have washed it over the years but maybe too hot yesterday and it shrunk. I have had to put a 40cm panel in and it fits again, I have enough single sheets so used one of those.
Daisy, that is annoying with the wifi not working right.
I was tired on Friday Oma, cystitis playing up again so that doesn't help, I did feel better yesterday so I have promised myself a day of rest.
DS1 has got the boat to where is is now docked so very handy for them to go, I think about one hours drive, he said they were going to go today so they will be there now. I have a B&B booked near to where they are in August, that is my birthday present from them, they said a hotel but I like a B&B. I will take my bike of course so can go my own way when I am not with them.
Gem, I do hope that Henry shows up.

Lovely photos Indeed Lizzie. Sorry to hear the damned cystitis is still bothering you.
Pizza is a lot cooler to cook Nan2. My turn to cook tonight, I think we will have fish of some sort.
I finished my book (which was gripping me so I was keen to get to the end!) in the garden. It has dulled over now so I have come in for a while.
I have got a line of towels dried so have done something productive at least!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I wrote the above but forgot to post it, I am indoors with the fan on, a bit warm outside but lovely all the same.
Bit warm for eating, I am having fish later
Lizzie, Pleased you had a lovely break. You are such a clever practical lady sorting out your blind. Sorry to hear you are still being bothered with cystitis.
We are resigned to hear that the wedding will have to be cancelled, GD and DD picked up the wedding and bridesmaid dresses today. GD want to delay, if necessary the wedding but her partner would like to go ahead with getting married and have a party later. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
