Good Morning Ladies I am so pleased everyone is enjoying the sun everyone seems so busy .
Daisy I am still having problems with accessing the daily topic's list I am taken straight to Forums all the time just don't understand what I have done
Yesterday I spent the day doing absolutely nothing just sat in the garden and watched the birds feeding and daft Oliver chasing squirrels , does anyone know if the leaves on Potato plants flower when they are ready for lifting out of the ground ?
This morning I have put a colour on my hair to brighten it up a wee bit as I am off to Gino's in Liverpool for a meet up with my friend of 35yrs not seen her for ages, when I booked on line I was surprised that they only allowed you 90mins I was under the impression it was 2hrs I don't think 90mins is long enough when you are having possibly 3 courses on the menu of the day they have said we can move inside to the bar area if the time gets tight and we want to stay,I have booked for 3pm so hopefully they will not be too busy.
My DDs 50th birthday is 5th July and her partner wants to arrange a garden party for her I am so mixed up about numbers with the goalposts being moved so often is it 30 for an outside gathering or am I totally wrong on the numbers .
Oma I could do with a Dunelm afternoon out and refresh a couple of duvet covers I also need a new set of towels but not decided on the colour as yet I have lime green at the moment and am bored with them I have had them for quite a while I don't want to change the paper on the main wall as it still looks good.
Plant it sounds delightful watching the baby ducks we have a nice little park close to us here and the duck pond there is so tranquil I have not been for a while I must admit there is also a secret walled garden which the Council gardeners look after and grow beautiful roses it has been in the park for as long as I can remember I used to go with my mum when I was little we used to pop in for a rest after walking home from my nanna's house.
Off now to wash the colour off my hair and get it dried am going to Tesco as F&F have a sundress in their advert that I quite fancy a nice blue floral fingers crossed they have my size xxKeep Calm,You're Fabulous

Went to Dunelm ,
Bought White bedding , a Navy throw , A lovely Blue cushion with a Peacock on and wanted the navy curtains ,
They didn't have them on shelf , asked girl on shop floor only had what was out ,
So came home ordered Click and collect order went through got a email instantly your item ready to collect
Went all the way back , Told the girl on the Click and Collect what had happened ,
she said well all the other girl had to do was check on her hand held computer to see if in stock ,
Did I know who it was ? well no I didn't take much notice to be honest just she had dark hair as she was wearing a mask I didn't really look at her face ,
She called the manager over and he apologised and said he would talk to the staff ,
I wasn't bothered but if it had been someone else they may have made a scene and in a way rightly so , it was a journey I didn't have to make really .
Anyway that's all in now the search for something for the wallIm not fat just 6ft too small

Lizzie, pleased to hear you are feeling better.
Oma, yes it was in law day today.

Spent the day with GD1 again today, she wanted to go to M&S and it is difficult with the little one. We had lunch in M&S and when we came back she asked me if it was alright for her to have a bath. I settled down to give H a bottle but when she saw her mother leave the room she cried and held her breath so that put paid to the bath. I will post the latest about the wedding. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Oma, not sure if they will get anymore, but i will keep a check.
The bedding sounds nice. Navy and white is a classic combination.
DS1 called on his way home from work. Said his friends daughter is selling her car.
He was going to buy it for GD2. So, we have bought it for her.
DS1 knows all the history of the car,and said it was too good to miss.
GD2 doesn't know about it yet.Sometimes I forget to like posts,but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Lizzie - I'm sure you will all be glad to ditch the masks. Pleased to hear you are feeling a bit better and the weather is cooler.
Oma - did you get your new bedding and curtains? Navy and white sounds very smart and modern. Lovely. Haha - I've caught up now and see you've already got what you wanted.
Nanto - we noticed on the weather forecast that it had been much cooler in some parts of the country. We've had another hot day today but it did cloud over a couple of times.
Enfys - I'm pleased you had such a lovely birthday, and your gardener sounds perfect. I used to love the heat but can't imagine gardening in it these days!
Glamm - when you log in to the forum and it takes you to the Forum front (log in) page does it say "Forums" under our logo, with "New Topics" in white under that, and then in the broad white band "Forums" should appear in large letters. Then there's a grey band below that which says Forums | Latest activity | My Subscriptions - in white text with a red background that moves if you scroll across. Try scrolling to "Latest Activity" . Then you can either go to latest activity on the left (ie on existing posts) or to Latest Topics on the right which will take you to new posts.
I've just checked up on numbers allowed for parties etc at home and it's up to 30 people outdoors (in England). Social distancing is recommended but not mandatory. Indoors the number of people is six from a maximum of 6 households. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-51176409
Nanto - could you get the Pavers shoes you like from a shop or are they just mail order? Your GD2 is a lucky girls - she'll be so excited about the car. What lovely grandparents you are. xx
Plant - poor mummy - H isn't letting her out of her sight. Did your GD get what she wanted from M&S?
We've had a busy day. I walked Eva this morning - it was so lovely I went quite a lot further than planned and she was very good most of the time. Then we had breakfast and decided to go shopping. We went into the village first - I wanted to get a birthday card for DS1 and OH needed cards for various occasions. We were admiring the dog beds in the local pet shop - until we saw the price tag - £135!Then OH dropped me off at a garden centre while he went to Screwfix. We got back for lunch and OH realised they'd given him the wrong product. So off he went to change it and got back just in time to pop round to a neighbours' for tea and doughnuts. They had their back garden redone just before the first lockdown and it's looking an absolute picture now - full of beautiful plants and gorgeous colours. The down to earth - portioning up dog food and then making dinner.
Gem - I hope you did well in the quiz.

Daisy I won the quiz by quite a margin
I'm glad to read the posts here that show all our lives are opening up more.
We had a minor drama today. When chatting in my friend's garden over a coffee this afternoon I had a phone call from DD3, asking how long to leave a bleeding cut finger before going to A & E! Once I was sure she was applying pressure and elevating I suggested popping to the chemist for supplies and advice. They gave her steri strips but are not allowed to apply them. I got a text to say she couldn't put them on and stop the bleeding, which didn't surprise me. It's not a one person job. I collected GS from school, we met DD in a car park and I applied the strips!! It seems to have done the trick.
It's exactly a week since our lovely cat went missing. Our catsitting friend is coming over the day we go on holiday and staying until Thursday. I had told her she could stay as long or short a time as she liked if there was no cat to look after. I know she was desperate for a break and makes plans with friends over here. I was pleased when she said she would come on Saturday. Like us she fears him coming back and no one here.

Not a bad morning, a few fluffy white clouds, but its bright.
Thunderstorms forecast from late afternoon/early evening.
Gem, hope the steri strips have done their job.
Daisy, i think the nearest shop that sells Pavers shoes is in Sheffield.
We have been talking about going to Sheffield, but it might not be for another 2/3 weeks.
Gem, well done for winning the quiz.
I wonder where poor Henry is.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
