    It has rained all day!
Not looking forward to standing in the car park talking to the vet. I don't suppose he is either!
I baked a raisin loaf this afternoon which is almost ready. The house smells lovely.

Glad to hear DS is coming in summer WG, something to look forward to.
Our census letter came today Grauntie, I Must get it done.

Our Census came Monday we did that straight away ,

New Sideboard came today ( self assembly ) said to B that doesn't look big enough I was sure it said two boxes .
B insisted it was right ,
Waited till dog went home and sure enough there is a box missing ,
Not sure if its still on the van or hasn't been sent so B has emailed the company to find out

How annoying that a bit is missing Oma.
I did our census this afternoon. I presume I will have mum's to do too.
Henry's check up went well. He's doing ok for his age so we keep up the treatment and go back in 3 months.
We decided to have fish and chips for tea. I get a 'light bite' which is a small haddock with small portion of chips, so not as bad as the portion OH has.

Where is the new sideboard going Oma. Have you sold both your dining table and chairs and your coffee table?

I saw all my GGC today, GD1 came with baby H for the day, GGD is here every Wed and GGS came after school, he was very tired, first day back ar Pre-School.

WG, having your DS home for an extended visit will be lovely. Hope the house sale will not take too long, hope you find something you like soon.

            Good morning ladies.
I hope all are OK today and people slept better!

Plant how lovely to see them all

It is wild and windy here

No plans today. I will probably drive over to mum's to check for post etc, and may fill some of her recycling boxes and get them out for tomorrow.

            Have a good Thursday everyone.

Good morning, it is blowing a gale here as well, I heard a few plant pots falling during the night, I think on the balcony under me. The sun is shining at the moment, I was thinking of hanging my washing out but I have thought better of it.

I have just phoned a neighbour opposite me, I have known them for years, they are members of the
Orthodox Reformed church, have you got that in the UK? Very strict but they help each other through life. You couldn't meet a nicer couple, they told me a few years ago that he had cancer of the lung and that is what it is now, he is home from the hospital but very ill, he is 88 years old so a good age. She was saying the nurses come a few times a day and the family is a huge help, sad.

I don't think we had the strong winds forecasted, dry atm but the sky is a bit dark. I might pop to the farm shop today, their veg is much fresher than Waitrose. I suppose I could do some dusting in SR but it looks okay to me, I don't make much dust! I was woken just after 7am with a phone call from our old friend Amazon!, I then slept for another hour and a half, once that heating comes on I could sleep for England, mind I didn't turn my light off until midnight.

I suppose your Diabetic bloods and a jab can be looked forward to Oma, at least it is an outing. You will not know what to do with yourself now you haven't got those glass topped tables and chairs to clean. When is Storm due to visit, I can imagine his face thinking where has my lovely cold glass table gone.

Lizzie, so sorry to hear about your poorly friend

I know I am very lucky to be in a situation where I see my GGC, baby H is a bit of a mummies girl, she is having her first jab today.

Have you all had your census form? I wasn't sure if I should be included in with family next door but I see it is actually addressed to The Annex (should this be under a new heading?)

We got our Census letter at the weekend. I shall do it on the 21st! Many years ago I worked as a Census collector. For the work we were expected to do we were paid apittance, so I never did it again. We had to hand deliver and collect all the forms. Some people were soooo rude about it.

Very windy here too but the sun is shining and the towels are blowing gaily on the line!

Taking today easy. GP started me on new pills last week and I haven't felt right since taking them, so I've done as I was told, and phoned the surgery. Waiting for a call back which could be anytime before they close! Done my Waitrose delivery and not planning to do very much for the rest of the day.

The interested party has upped his offer, but still not to his original one!!! Sure he thinks I'll give in and accept the lower offer.......he doesn't know me and my Scottish stubborness!!!

Hope everyone has a good day xx

p.s. GM.....you're right about all this housework, it's not good for a woman!!!

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

It is blowing a hoodie here. I woke up at 6am and discovered the contents of my recycling bin were all over the place. It had blown over in the night. I put my dressing gown on and collected it all up and returned it to the bin. When I finally got up for the day, around 7.30 I discovered it had blown over again, with paper and plastic milk bottles all over the place again. I collected it all up once again and returned it to the bin. I put a brick on top of the bin this time! I shall be pleased when the bin men come to empty it later today. It is still very windy, but lovely and sunny.
I am going for a walk shortly to fill my lungs with fresh sea air. I hope I don’t get blown over in the wind. Ha ha.

Plant he came yesterday , sniffed all over the dinning room and it was so funny watching him walk around the edge of the sitting room as if the coffee table was still there

Sunshine its started to get very windy here too I think we are in for a bashing today ,
The people over the road have one of these plastic bin storage cupboards and its rattling about , He has been out and put a rope around it and secured it to the railings and looks like he has tied the lid down ,

Not too windy here yet, I had thought I would go to the farm shop today but went out to the bins and changed my mind.

I'm rather too late to say 'Good morning, friends', aren't I! I've read through all the posts to catch up, but forgive me for not commenting at the moment - it's one of THOSE days in the Daisy Domain!

At the week-end I realised that the driver's footwell in my car resembled a small paddling pool. So did the passenger footwell behind it. We took everything out, sucked about 2 ½ gallons of water out of the carpets with the carpet cleaner. I've spent most of yesterday looking online to see what the problem might be - lots of suggestions, unfortunately! The garage want the car for at least a week, so I dread to think what the bill might be. Then OH had the bright idea of asking the AA - they came out and had a look (not strictly part of their service but he pointed out we'd been members for 54 years!) They didn't know either. But he said be careful because there is wiring under the driver's seat - he didn't know whether it was the seat heater or the airbags. It poured with rain yesterday, and it's full of water again.

This morning OH had an appointment for his eye injection at the hospital. We'd be home by 10.30 or 11 at the latest, so I said I've dry it out again. But of course we had to take OH's car, which I find uncomfortable to drive. Horrible journey with road works, the nearest car park was full, so we ended up in the underground one. Then OH was told he was down for a scan, which they hadn't told us about, and then everything in the department ground to a halt for nearly 2 hours. By the time he came out 2 ½ hours later I was shivering with the cold and desperate for the loo!

More road works on the way home, but not so slow, and we finally got home about 1 pm. Tired, cold and thorough fed up - both of us. I couldn't face drying the car out, so I hope it's dry tomorrow and I can do it then and we'll tape over the edges of the sunroof to see if that's where the leak is.

Sainsbury's are due in a few minutes, and I'm so glad I ordered a ready meal for tonight! Otherwise it would be beans on toast. I think I might need an early night.
