Lizie, I remember the space cakes an sale in Amsterdam on King's Day when we lived there. We had a hard time explaining to the children why they couldn't have one!!

Having a rough day, so I'll just wish everyone well and come back another time! I may write in YEO about things. I'll see how I feel in a bit xx

          Afternoon all.

WeeGranny I hope you are OK

The lawn has been laid and the penny farthing stepping-stones placed . OH is beside himself with joy because as you may recall he loves a lawn to fuss over.

We took a walk to the Range this morning. Where we used to live it could take at least half an hour to get there but now itsa 10 min stroll. I have to admit I was disappointed with what they had there but I did buy a honeysuckle, a pack of paint brushes and a packet of sweets !

Did I say OH has his second vaccine on Tuesday next week and I have mine the next day

Sunshine, with all that work, did you remember to actually read your meters ? 😂

Oma I think of you every time we use a paper towel instead of napkins! 😂

Daisy your poor face, hope heals soon

          Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

WeeGranny - I'm so sorry to hear you're not having a good day. You know we're always hear to support, sympathise, make you laugh or whatever is needed. Sending hugs in the meantime. xxx

Mimi - how happy your OH must be with his new lawn to cosset and care for. It must seem a real novelty having the shops so convenient. At least you didn't have too much to carry home with you. Did the sweets make it back home as well?

I'm the same with thinking about Oma every time we use paper towels as napkins - ie, most days!

Thank you all for your kind words about my butchered face. You're all very kind. xx

Oh those cakes look so delicious what a fabulous tradition .
Daisy its so nice to hear the dogs are getting along so well I do so miss having my little Poppy with me for company, one of my neighbours down the Rd has bought a Dachund (sp) and I meet her over the week-end such a cute little thing she is 6mths old and was going to be kept by the family who owns her mother but they didn't get on once the puppy started being more indipendent so they rehomed her she couldn't have gone to a nicer couple (just a wee bit jealous ).

We are having work done locally by OpenReach for BT and internet has been going off every now and then its not really a problem some of the takeaways locally are complaining that they are loosing customers I didn't realise so many people relied on internet for all their food orders.

It was really frostie last night and I took all my plants indoors again, after just 2 weeks the peppers seem to have taken they look nice and strong GD will be pleased when she comes on Thursday for our gardening session .

Off now to bring in dried washing and may crack on with the ironing whilst I feel fit x

While she was talking I could here all this clattering turned out she was at home making the tea while she was calling me
She said excuse me while I turn this pan off and check what meds your on now

How can they give good service when multi tasking like that Oma?! I know working from home means you can get on with other things during the day, but surely when talking to patients you should be concentrating on that alone.

It began to rain mid afternoon and it's dull and wet now. We have the lamps on already.
OH and partner came 2nd out of 30 teams so are happy.

Gem - say 'well done' to S and her partner for doing so well. It sounds as though not all of you have had our lovely sunshine today. It's still felt quite chilly, but not as bad as it has been. How is GS1? I seem to remember my DS1 starting with hay fever at about that age - and we had also just moved house from the seaside to a heavily wooded area in Surrey, and he became allergic to tree pollens.

Oma - how rude and unprofessional of the GP to be making the tea while she was talking to you. If you'd been in the surgery she would hardly have been say writing up other patients' notes, or taking phone calls during your appointment. Knowing she was going to speak to you why hadn't she checked your medical history first. I'm quite shocked actually. Is the new tablet just one more of the one you're already on or a different type completely?

Glamm - thank you. Yes, if the two dogs can be friends it opens up all sorts of possibilities for both of them, but if they hate each other it would be such a pity. So far, so good, and keeping fingers crossed. Your neighbour's puppy sounds delightful. What is she called? I'm not surprised your local takeaways are so upset over the internet problems - their business mostly depend on it in these current circumstances. I hope it's soon fixed. Well done on getting your peppers to do so well. Take it steady doing the ironing.

Nanto - glad the fish nuggets were fine. Are they crumb or batter and were they very salty?

Overcast today. Had a bit of rain yesterday evening and through the night.

Jacket potatoes for dinner today with tuna, sweecorn and coleslaw.

Daisy, the fish nuggets were battered and not salty. I cooked them for a bit longer than it said on the box.
Thats because we like things a bit brown and crispier.

Good morning, Nanto, those nuggets are eaten a lot here, we can buy them at the fish stalls, also in the supermarkets, we call them "kibbling", delicious from the fish stall!

Yes it was a bit of a cheek working like that , She is a good Dr though ,
What I was a bit annoyed at was she was supposed to ring at 5 and it was almost 6 , I dont think they would be happy if i turned up almost 50 minutes late for appointment would they

Gem tell S well done coming 2nd was very good going bet she was well pleased ,

Nanto I will buy some of those when I do my shopping , I love the crispy fish fingers so probably will love them , B isnt keen on Fish fingers unless they are the battered extra large ones so he might eat these too ,
I must confess im like a child I like mine with spaghetti hoops

Lizzie i bet the fresh ones are really tasty , we don't have a proper fish mongers or a market sadly .

Waiting for Storm to arrive , I have just made him chicken and rice for lunch i pour the chicken juice over his rice he loves it , its the only think he gets cooked apart from scrambled eggs and cheese .

Spoke to my niece early this morning she's in a lot of pain today and swollen but its to be expected .

B is doing the cutting in for me on my bedroom wall so I will get on with that later , its a nice shade of pink .
