Our internet still isn't great - our broad band speed is so slow it's hardly useable at the moment! We'll be phoning the providers in the morning is it's no faster tomorrow.

It's been hot here today, and I couldn't resist a nana nap this afternoon after we got back from DS2's. I'm still ready for my bed now, though.

Daisy the roast was very nice . Cooking it on a very hot day not so nice.
I had the front door and kitchen door open as well as the windows .
Unfortunately, because of the design of our bungalow, the front door is on the side of the bungalow which faces the road , albeit a far distance from a road.
The road is very steep ( the same one OH fell down on a few weeks ago) and , anyone living in the houses built on the top of the steep hill can actually see straight into the kitchen but I was too hot to care.
We did however have strawberries and cream for afters so that cooled me down a bit.

The roads here are being dug up and 'fast net' broadband is being layed. Where we lived before we did have the faster broadband but up to now it hasn't been available here but what we have got isn't to bad . But to be fair there is only the two of us and our Internet demands aren't too much. Not sure what it would be like for a family with one or both parents working from home and teenagers playing online games

It's my elderly Neighbour two doors down Birthday tomorrow , I had to wait till it was dark and a bit cooler to take her card down and put it in her letter box ,
I didn't even have the energy to take it down during the day , I will have to ring in the morning as she will wonder why I didn't knock with it .

Shouldn't complain all the bad weather we have had but it is so draining isn't it xx

Today we are going to friends J and M for lunch. We haven't seen them for ages. This is due to the fact that J still works (though has cut down to 4 days) and has become fairly obsessed with her walking group and if she's not at work is constantly walking miles. I feel a bit sorry for M (who is retired) to be honest, but it's nothing to do with me!
Anyway, it will be lovely to see them
Before that we are going to my mum's house to meet the people who are buying the fridge freezer.

Doctors this morning for a blood test, I plan to call on the way back to feed the ducks on the pond and get a coffee from the little cafe on the green. Indoor bowls this afternoon, I hope my game is a lot better than on the outside mats.

Good Monday morning everyone - the start of another brand new week. Is it my imagination or does time seem to be flying by for everyone?

Mimi - I'd have definitely had all the door open, too. I hope you've got leftovers or something easy for today.

Oma - it was warm last night. We're lucky that it's quiet where we live and we just leave lots of windows open. I feel sorry for people who have too much traffic or other noise to do that, or don't feel it's safe.

Our internet is a bit better this morning, but problems are likely to continue on and off until we get fibre to the property. <sigh>

Lizzie - I'm so sorry you're feeling lousy. I hope they can get it sorted out for you. The shepherd's hut looks nice - quite simple but fun for a short break.

No plans for me today - I'll see how I feel later!

Daisy, they are friends so they will. It's an hour or so drive for them, so hard to be too accurate with time though. They are due at 11 and we are due at J's for lunch at 1, only 15 minutes drive away, so it will all work out

Good morning, I’m sorry I have’t been around much lately. I’ve been lurking but just didn’t feel like chatting. Thank you all for the birthday wishes.

Im going round to my friends for coffee this morning then tea with DD when she finishes work. Just had a nice phone call from DS.

Very got here again, the garden is looking good but takes a lot of watering in the evening. I’m so pleased with my gardener, she is doing a lovely job of getting everything sorted out. She works so hard but it leaves me to do the pretty stuff 🙂.

Morning ladies , we went to our shopping centre early ,
I needed Card's and bits and bobs
I also wanted to go to Roman originals as they had a couple of nice tops online ,
thought I would get them in store but they didn't have any of them in .

Daisy we have been having all the windows wide at night , we do have a highway at the back of us but we sleep in the front and there is a mini forest between us so the noise isnt so bad and to be honest we don't take notice anyway we so used to it

Nanto its cooler here at the moment but they say after lunch it will get hotter .

Daisy we certainly have got left overs from yesterday's lunch. Whenever I cook a roast I always cook double the amount and plate it up and keep them in the fridge. I only need to put them in the microwave.
I started doing this when I looked after dad . I would cook for him and take it to him on the way to work and he would warm it up in the microwave. I thought I might as well do this for us .

Oma Roman Originals closed here several years ago . Fortunately they are open on line.
