Both myself and B been up since 4am just couldn't rest at all ,so housework done had shower and we off to MIL's soon ,

Oakworld were true to their word my money was in the bank in the early hours of this morning so we will be searching tomorrow maybe for replacements ,
New carpet going down Monday so I hope to have some by then ,

Gem how did S's Golf go ? how are you feeling has the tooth settled any ?

This is the 3rd consecutive day of golf for OH. Not until this afternoon though and only 9 holes today.

Our first job is the vet's, then to my mum's bungalow for the second estate agents valuation.

All 3 DDs are coming round tonight. We are getting fish and chips. On the agenda for discussion are finishing emptying mum's house, new care home visiting rules, and Florida! The time for booking flights is close so we and DDs 1 and 2 need to discuss that.

Good Morning ladies an early start for me today my little car goes in for its MOT this morning at 9am,when I got up this morning I misglanced at the bedroom clock and thought it was 7.30 so up and about showered etc all sorted to drive down the Road to the garage then listened to the news and it was only 7.45 I had misread the clock by an hour,there is no wall clock in the kitchen as it has been taken down prior to the new wall paper being put up on Tuesday.
Today my little GD Willow is 3yrs old my how the time passes she will be calling in later she loves her dollies so I have bought her a Baby Annabelle with little brother Christopher she can take them for walks in her dolly's pram when they go to the park.
Nice clear day today so when I drop off my car I shall blitz the house and plant some more bedding plants in the tubs.xx

I am hoping to play bowls this afternoon if the rain keeps off. We had good weather yesterday, GGC were able to play in the garden. At our WI tea gathering, there were 5 of us including the host, I was the youngest there at 82! We had a quiz about names of cakes, we did quite well but could not guess the name of one. It was guess the name of a cake you would find in a fabric store, any ideas?

Glamm - you gained an extra hour today with misreading the clock. I hope your car passes its MOT. Doesn't time fly - I'm sure Willow will love her baby Annabelle. I remember both my GDs having that dolly, but unlike Willow, they weren't very interested in them.

For the first time since lockdown I'm cooking a meal for friends tomorrow night. We can't guarantee the weather for a barbecue, so I'm going to do a beef casserole today which we can then have with mashed potatoes and veg, and hope the rain stays away for a couple of hours. I'm going to cook the meat today as I think a casserole of often better reheated, and it's so long since I've done anything like this, I need all the advantages I can get!

It's my DIL2's birthday today and with Sainsbury's coming I didn't get a chance to ring her before she went to work! Now it's pot luck, depending on customers being in the shop!

The weather can't make up its mind, but it doesn't look very promising.

Gem - I'm so sorry I missed your post about your tooth! We posted together and I didn't see it. I was wondering how other people were commenting on it!! Duh!! I hope it's more comfortable, but what a nuisance having to have another course of antibiotics. I was hoping they would be able to deal with it once and for all. Fingers crossed for a cancellation.

Did S enjoy her birthday meal? It sounds delicious.

Both my GD's loved their dolls, so much that I still have a chest full of Baby Born dolls and clothes! Oh, and a pushchair, NO WAY have I to get rid of that, or so I am told.

Daisy, good luck with the cooking, both DS's and family are eating here on Saturday, GD2 chose what we are eating, wraps.

I was talking to a neighbour about the young girl yesterday, she was laid in the road for so long and it could have been epilepsy as they don't like to move them.

It is a holiday here today, Ascension day, most people have tomorrow off as well for a an extra long weekend.

Good afternoon, just! Cold here and the sky is black so I think rain in coming.

Had coffee with DD this morning and collected my shopping after her delivery now preparing lunch and a friend is coming round this afternoon. Tomorrow I am going out out! DD want to pop out to get something in Primark so I am going too!! I know it’s only Primark but I’m quite excited 🤣.

Plant, I think I know the name of the cake, if it’s right it’s more of an American term for something. I only heard about it when a friend was talking about quilting.

Gem, hope your tooth is ok, shame you just couldn’t have it out there and then. Nice to be able to have friends round Daisy, good idea to do a. Asserole and always so much better the next day. Hope you find your furniture Oma, what a nuisance.

A productive day so far!
The vet said Henry had no ulcer on his eye and the eye is much better, just sore surrounding it. More eye drops.
Whilst we were at mums with the valuer a man came to buy a chest of drawers I had advertised. The estate agent helped him out to the car with it!
A lady is coming this afternoon to take the vast amounts of wool we are giving away. If she doesn't want it all I have 6 others desperate to take it. Who knew old wool was so popular?!

Plant they came second at golf, so not too bad. Apparently tiny bits of shattered bone are not uncommon after an extraction. Is the answer Chiffon cake?

Hope all those with a birthday today have had a lovely day.

A few weeks ago,DS2's partners daughter moved house.
There were a lot of ornaments in the garden,but she didn't wany any.
Hubby went one day with DS2 to help him get rid of them.
Well hubby being hubby couldn't bear to see them being thrown away.
You've guessed it,we ended up with them all.
Various small ornaments have been placed round the garden,but that left us with a stone wishing well.
So this morning we got it in situ. Both of us like it.
