Just noticed my bed needs centering don't notice till photos taken
Oma - of course that's the first thing everyone noticed - they didn't see the beautiful stylish colour scheme, the really attractive picture frames, the historic Hussars prints, the smartly dressed young chap in the corner, the stunning cushion against the white pillows and black headboard, or the gorgeous bedside lamp! Seriously, it looks great. You've got such a good eye for putting a room together and getting everything looking harmonious but still a home. I love it.
Plant, pleased to hear you're feeling a bit better. You always feel good after having your hair done, so I hope that helps. I hope your car passes ok. Mine passed yesterday after having two new tyres.
Gem - so glad your mouth is ok, and hopefully you won't need that appointment on Friday. I hope the library is busy enough to keep you entertained, but not rushed off your feet.
Lizzie - I bet your GD is very proud of her Nan's sewing prowess. I know my two GDs love it when their other gran makes dresses for them. Fresh strawberries from the grower - I bet they're full of flavour and the taste of summer (even if it's not very nice today). I hope your friends aren't flooded.
Oma - did Storm arrive ok? Gooseberry crumble - mmmmmmm. My OH doesn't like crumbles at all so I never make them, but gooseberry crumble with ice cream or 'proper' custard is delicious.
Nanto - have you managed to get the grass cut?
We've had a lovely morning with our friends who we haven't seen properly since the first lockdown. There was a lot to catch up on, but it was a nice morning and we sat in the garden with coffee and cake. I made Matrimonial cake as it's quick and easy and relatively 'healthy'. Our friends are both fantastic cooks - he is Italian and does amazing dishes, and she is a brilliant cook and always has something really tasty and interesting on the go. So I keep it very simple! Interesting though I found out today she says she isn't very good at making scones, so I passed on Oma's tip of not rolling out, just gently shaping the dough with your hands.

Hahaha Daisy you know me little things annoy me if they not right ,
I was just saying to Gem & S I notice little things in my house no one else sees but don't notice them in other peoples house ,
The Headboard is Dark Denim blue to match the curtains , It was Cream but we covered it with Denim to match
The cake sounds nice I will have to google it I haven't seen any pcs of one but I have heard of it ,
Storm didn't come DD forgot and by time I rang her it was lunch time , so we will have him another day
I went into town on the bus this morning, only for the third time since I plucked up courage to go. They cut our buses to one every hour and a half so I can either have just over an hour in town.which is not really enough or three hours which is a bit long. There are so many shops closed now it’s barely worth going but it’s the best I can manage these days that passes for an “outing”! I needed a few bits and bobs from Wilco and though I do on-line shopping it’s nice to browse round a supermarket occasionally. I bought a few ready meals from M and S.
I got talking to a lady waiting for the bus . I couldn’t help noticing she had enough rings and bracelets on to start her own jewellery shop! I once had an aunt who did a similar thing because she said she didn’t want to leave it all at home in case she was burgled.
I hope those who are a bit under the weather feel better really soon.
Clover nice to get out and about for a change , You get to have a good look around ,
Sadly lots of shops have closed everywhere its sad isn't it seeing a thriving town so desolate now
My MIL wears a lot of rings and necklaces, far too many really .
I have a friend who wears far too much jewellery. She is well off and most of it is very expensive, but because she wears too much the effect is cheap! I bet most people don't think it is gold.
Quiet afternoon at the library regarding customers but lots to put back on the shelves! I did get some reading done, but not a lot.
Friends called round here at 5 to return our wheelbarrow and stayed for a cuppa.
After a dull day the sun is now shining brightly!
