I had a nice surprise at my mum's this afternoon. DD3 turned up to photograph some stuff she will try to sell on ebay.
I was just packing up to leave so we had a nice chat over a cuppa in the conservatory before I left.

Stayed fine here so we were able to play bowls, I might well have not gone, had a dreadful game.

Gemini, hope the ears and the eyes on your cat heal soon. Our cat has been to the vet, he had a infected place on his side, Antibiotic prescribed, they shaved a large area, poor puss.

I think Daisy is right, WG it wouldn't do any harm to ask if someone could do the dressing change on your poor OH's head. Sorry to have to ask, was it a biopsy this time?

I just hate being rude to anyone but this afternoon I have had 5 stupid calls in less then 1 hour .
I finally was very terse and rude to the last caller telling them what I thought of them before I hung up .

I know these people are doing a job but its always a Indian call centre and they give themselves English names the last one was Albert , who could hardly speak English and was supposed to be Phone Warehouse about my recent purchase ( havent bought anything )

I had another message supposed to be from Post office about a parcel i needed to Pay £2.70 shipping fee , this is 4th one of these messages this week,
        Is it silly season

Goodness Oma, that is intimidation, you should be able to complain. I feel sorry for Albert too.

Frost has cleared and the sun is shining.

Oma, i had a call yesterday about our BT broadband. Never had BT.

                Good morning everyone.
Bright sunny morning here too Nan2.
Oma the drops are more of a cream , it's a nightmare. He hated it. He is so gentle but I did fear he may try to bite me. We have to do it 12 hourly, so his 9am ones are due soon On the positive side, the eye looks slightly better this morning.

Sainsburys Click and Collect this morning and school run for GD and GS2 this afternoon. No visit to my mum first this week. DD2 was struggling to find a free slot to visit, and as I saw mum on Monday I gave my slot to DD. It will be lovely for mum to see her.
I should hear about booking my jab today as it is a week until the 12 week mark.

I hope all are feeling OK or improving today.
                Have a good Friday.

Good Friday morning everyone. It's another beautiful sunny day here but still chilly. Nanto - too chilly to sit in a meadow like the girl in your graphic, but it looks lovely.

Nuisance calls seem to come in waves! I sometimes ask the "Alberts" of this world if their mum knows they try to rob people for a living.

Plant - I'm sure you'll soon get properly back on form with your bowls - last week's game went well, didn't it?

Gem - your mum will be so pleased to see DD2, I'm sure. I hope you get a call about your second jab. Poor Henry. In a way, it seems worse if they're usually gentle, but hopefully his eye will soon be better. Have a lovely time with your GCs this afternoon.

Oma - I do hope MIL is in a good mood. Do you take her a nice cake from Aldi's, or isn't she a cake lover?

WeeGranny and Grauntie - you're both in my thoughts. Take care of yourselves. Sending virtual hugs and love.

Oma - thank you for asking - yes I slept well. I've been taking paracetamol every night to reduce the itching and burning, and once I'm asleep it takes a lot to wake me up! My nose looks red, sore and swollen this morning, but we're now on the last week of that cream, thank goodness. The crater is scabbing over and looks horrible, but is actually getting better (I think). At least it doesn't burn or hurt!! I don't have to go back to the dermatologist unless there are any problems.

It only dawned on us last night that it's a Bank Holiday week-end!

Good morning, lovely and sunny here but I haven’t been outside yet so don’t know if it’s chilly.

Glad your face is improving Daisy, sounds very sore but a good job done. Thinking of WG and Grauntie, hope all is well.

Dentist visit went well, he is monitoring one tooth but otherwise all ok, thank goodness. When I left the dentist I went in to Tesco, hadn’t been for ages and it was fine, not very busy, everyone keeping their distance so not bad st all. Out this afternoon for tea in garden with a friend, she has plenty of blankets at the ready so should be fine.

Will pop over to see DD this morning, she is still very sore with the shingles and I have to encourage her to take it easy. Otherwise all quiet here, can’t wait to get my hair cut next week, I’ll feel less like a cave woman! I’m making a start on painting the kitchen, be good to get that done.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

I have had terrible trouble this week getting on line when ever I write a post it disappears some where gremlins somewhere,my internet went off for a few hours also so I just don't know what is happening

After going to see the chap at Specsavers he has arranged for my eyes to be lasered due to a build up of fluid behind the pupil this sometimes happens after cataracts have been done it will only take seconds to do and according to him will stop the blurred vision I just have to wait for the call from Spa Medica who will do the procedure for me.

Good news this week for DS1 he has been promoted to night manager at the Cheadle Branch of Sainsburys he has worked so hard for the promotion he will work 4 x 10hr nights so he is delighted a really good salary package as well which he is pleased about,(his dad always said he would do well as a night worker considering he trouble he had getting out of bed when a child) he was known in the family as nocturnal Simon

Its a tearful week again as my John's birthday is on Sunday along with my GGSs 3rd birthday a bitter sweet week-end for me

I hope everyone is well and those feeling off colour take care of themselves x along with your families.

Slept late, was awake in the night for some time. Sunny here atm, not sure what the forecast is.

I hope Grauntie and WG had a good night's sleep. Enfys, I hope you find your daughter in less pain, nasty thing shingles.

I feel quite comfortable going shopping Enfys but avoid the busy times. Have an opticians appt. this afternoon, have been putting it off until things settled down.

Gemini, nice surprise for your Mum when your DD turns up.

Glamma, I have had that after-cataract laser treatment, on both eyes. It's simple. Quick and painless and works right away.
Enfys, I hope DD feels better soon. I have heard the pain of shingles is not nice at all.
MIL doesn't improve, does she Oma?!

We collected our shopping this morning. We have decided that once we have had our 2nd vaccines (hopefully next week) we will go back to our usual once a month big Tesco delivery shop, and do our own shopping in between. We have been having either Sainsburys C and C or Tesco delivery for almost a year now, every week to 10 days.

It is dull and damp here again, I have been for my treatment and got my new compression sleeves, they came to measure me a fortnight ago. I will have to wash them a few times before I decide if they are a good fit or not!

Enfys, I hope your DD has soon recovered from her shingles, I have had them a few times, once near my eye and that was very painful and dangerous. I read the other day that putting an oat compress on them eases the pain.

Oma, your MIL doesn't seem to get any better with ageing!

Glamm, my GD1 was born on the date my hubby died. John would have wanted you to celebrate and enjoy they day. Your son has done well getting his new position at work. Well done.

Daisy, I hope your face is now improving. When the friend of mine had his operation on his nose he said it didn't bother him at his age but for someone young it would be dreadful!

Gem, I hope the cats eyes are better now, these pets cost money with vets etc, those friends here have a German Shepherd and he says he spends more money on it than he spends on himself. I know when I had the dog it was either the vet or a stay at the boarding kennel!

I have been very tired all the week after having the vaccination, I feel a lot better today, up to now anyway.

I was awake the other night with a pigeon roosting next to my bedroom window, I have now placed something there to stop it, I was sat watching TV last night and a pigeon was being hunted by a bird of prey, it hit my window at full speed!!! It survived the window, I am not so sure about the bird of prey!
