Morning all. Daisy I am feeling very smug, My bed has been changed, bathrooms cleaned and floors steam cleaned in the last 3 days. Bedroom and SR dusted and hoovered. I think I will take the decs down today.
GD1 and her partner now settled in the house, they have had some lovely presents bought for the baby, all we need now is for the little one to put in an appearance. The crib, bought by his father (parents divorced) is an all singing, all dancing crib.
That is a long time Daisy to be without a refuse collection, I hope you get it all cleared today.
That is a very cold and frosty graphic Nanto
Oma, well done for spotting a bargain, I love new towels.
I will be back later, must go and have a shower and get dressed.

Plant, you are doing well with the cleaning etc.
Oma, well done with the towels!
Daisy, that is a long time for your waste, we are "lucky", I suppose we pay for it, but, we have 4 containers in the street, all we have to take somewhere else is the glass.
DS1 and family could be coming later, I hope so as I have baked a cake in my new oven, it smells good in here now.
Fireworks were banned here this New Years Eve, so many setting them off though. I still heard a few very loud bangs when I went to bed last night.
Someone is this area has won €54 million with the postal code lottery, I am still waiting for them to call and tell me!

Morning all.
Its cold and drizzly here .
We have just finished taking down the decs and putting them away. I have given the sitting room a good clean and then the hall, kitchen and bedroom..... just how far can an artificial Christmas tree 'pine needles go ? The whole idea of not having a real tree is to cut down on the mess!
Later I am going to cut the Christmas cards up to make tags for next Christmas.
Chicken risotto for lunch today.
Plant you have been busy this morning.
Oma you were up and about early this morning, I was having breakfast when you were on your way home.
Keep warm and safe everyoneBring me sunshine in your smile.

I must stress that I haven't done all that cleaning today, it has been in the last few days. I have just taken my decs down.
Lizzie I am sure the family will love to smell and taste a fresh from the oven cake. What cakes are your favourites to bake?
Yes Glamm we are now counting the days. the hospital she has to go to is over half an hour from here.
That is a lot of money Lizzie.

We've had rain showers on and off most of the afternoon, but it was nice this morning. The sun streaming through the living room and hall windows showed every speck of dust, dog hair, cobweb and various bits of unidentified debris! I took the tree and decs down while OH was making loads of phone calls. We put everything in the loft, and I washed and dried the bedding, so we remade it with the same bedding - I often do this! The rest of the cleaning will have to wait until tomorrow!
We were unlucky with bins this year. Our collection day is Friday for general waste and recycling (every week) so we missed out with Christmas Day and NYE - but at least they came today rather than waiting till next Friday!
After saying on another thread that I hardly ever watch anything on tv, we both watched the Dads' Army movie tonight!
Lizzie - that is a lot of money! I hope they let you know soon.Mind you, bitcoins aren't doing badly - one bitcoin is worth $30,000 today (£22,000 in proper money).
Plant - I'm glad the shed dwellers have settled down in the house and baby doesn't keep you all waiting too long. xx

Good morning, Nanto and all who call in later. Can I share a cup of coffee with you - I can just smell that brewing.
It's dull here, but at least no frost or rain at the moment.
Last night OH and I had good intentions of getting up early and getting on with various jobs that need doing. It's 8.50 and I'm on my first cuppa andOH is still in bed. I think the most excitement in our lives at the moment is breaking our own plans!! Haha.
I really do want to bring the table from the summerhouse into the dining room so I can do some more painting - I've got one canvas half finished, and with the likelihood of two or three months of bad weather ahead of us I want something to do!
Have a good Sunday, everyone (I've checked - it IS Sunday!!!)

Good morning ladies.
I hope everyone is well.
Not sure if it is icy here or just wet as I am still in bed with my morning cuppa. It doesn't look inviting out there whatever it is.
Daisy, this feels like one in a long line of Sundays! Painting is a good occupation for this time of year.
I would like it pointed out that when Lizzie gets that phone call about her massive win - I was her friend first!
No plans today. I should walk if only a short one. Otherwise if will probably be a repeat of yesterday which was mostly TV, online and Scrabble. The highlight of the day was a short chat with two friends who were passing on a walk, knocked and stood on the drive.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
