Good Morning Ladies,Last night was the first night in an age where I slept all night the last time I looked at the clock was 1.30pm and I woke up at 10.20am so nearly 9hrs undisturbed sleep something I have not been able to do for months I have woken up as bright as a button.

Nana I love your tree and the shade of blue in your lounge just lovely.

Gems what a shame school is cancelled for your little man I bet he was so looking forward to his sleepover at nana's house.

I am so glad I went to our shopping centre yesterday it was purely a selfish trip on my behalf to have my nails done a service which has been closed down now for the duration,so I now own a sparkly set of pink nails a change from my red and gold ones which I had for the xmas period,I did also pop into the pet shop and stock up on doggy biscuits and cat food for my two little friends.

To day I have a leek and potato soup on the cooker for my evening meal and will take a bowl into Jim next door I have some par-baked rolls in the freezer so will cook them off to have with the soup, looking forward to that.

I have decided to have a massive clear out of the wardrobes over the next few weeks and donate all to local charities when they open again clothes seem to be crammed in at the moment, where they have come from I do not know

I'm not looking forward to the next few weeks if this had happened in September we may have seen the light at the end of the tunnel by now.

My back garden is looking a bit sad but youngest DGS is going to tidy it up over the week-end he get access via the back gate into the shed where he has all stuff he needs to trim stuff down and a garden hoover to pick up all the debris that has blown in over the past weeks,he earns his pocket money doing this it takes a bit of pressure of his mum as he is at college doing engineering courses he uses his pocket money to buy artist materials and does some lovely sketches down on the River front.

Take care ladies and have a good day.xxx

      Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

An update on Bella. She’s sleeping through the night now. Can do β€˜sit’ and β€˜down’ and β€˜come’. Has been out walking both on and off lead since Christmas Day. Almost there with toilet training, just the odd accident which is our fault for not paying attention to her signals. Here is a photo of her with our elder grandsons on Christmas Day.

I have decided to keep my tree up until Candlemas like they used to do in days gone by! Greenery was brought in to decorate the house for Christmas and put outside at Candlemas to ensure new growth etc for the coming year. Cards etc will be put away.

Not looking forward to this next lockdown. I suppose the thought of longer days should cheer me up, but it hasn't so far!! Think I'll make a start on tracing my family tree and see if I can get further back than my Grandparents this time round!

Have agood day ladies whatever you're up to. x

WG, we saw on the local FB page that some are leaving outside Christmas lights on to help cheer people out and about on walks or coming home from work in lockdown. We will leave ours up for now.

It’s a lovely sunny day here. DD popped over for coffee after the trauma of last night, we are lucky she is able to do this as we are in a bubble. I have just ordered a new laptop. DH had a desk top computer, all singing and dancing for him to edit his films but I don’t really get on with it. So I decided to let DGS have it, it will be more useful for him and I only want to be able to do my family tree research and upload my family tree programme so a small cheap laptop is ideal.

Now we are in another lockdown for the foreseeable future I am making sure I have enough to keep me busy and am looking forward to working on my tree again. I haven’t touched it for months.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Thanks for the tree complements. Nothing planned today really. I've watched more tv than I care to admit, but will probably finish off watching "Anne with an E" later, (with the Christmas lights onπŸ˜‰). Story of Anne of green gables.

I have had a busy morning doing my kitchen tops, my BIL phoned, we talk most days.

Daisy, the red cabbage was delicious!!! Just leave it in longer than the recipes say though.

Bella is lovely Avo. I'm sure the grandkids love her.

Glamma, we will get through the next few weeks. We will focus on spring coming and the wonderful vaccines. The days will pass, and we are all here for each other xx

DS2 rang earlier. he's tested positive for covid. When i was speaking to him,he sounded like he had a cold.
I know some tests have been giving the wrong result, but who am i to argue.

Enjoy the rest of your evening ladies.

Nan2, I hope your son has a mild version of the virus. As you know my mum had no symptoms at all, it varies a lot.

There's been a keen frost, grass is white over.

Thanks Gem, i'm hoping he's only got a mild version as well.

I suppose today will be a samey day.
Dinner is prepared. Pork fillet in the slow cooker. We haven't had a roast dinner this week.

Good morning Nan2, a frosty one here too. I hope your son is no worse today.
                            Good morning everyone else.

Excitement of the day is a Tesco delivery this morning. We haven't been able to get deliveries from anyone for ages, and have been having Sainsburys Click and Collect every 10 days or so. A friend told me that she always gets Tesco deliveries (they have no car so C and C is not an option) She said she gets the slots by trying the booking calendar at all different days and times. She alerted me to to todays availability and the next one we have booked. A useful friend to have!

We also intend to go to my mum's house. To check all is well, and take down the little Christmas tree which I had set on a timer early in December. An outing at least!!

Take care everyone, Keep safe and warm.

Oma, yes, it used to be us telling the children what or what not to do!! DS2 phoned me in the last lockdown, asked me where I was, I told him at a DIY place, he said "Was it important and are you wearing your mask"??? As you say, long tedious days.
