    Good Sunday morning, ladies.

It's a lovely sunny morning here, with the promise of being quite warm too. Long may it last.

Oma - it does you good to have a good chat, doesn't it! I hope B is ok. Good luck on your trip to Dunelm. Is this for the curtains?

My OH is sneezing quite a lot and we think he might be getting a cold. I suppose we're getting to the season where these things will happen, but with Covid on top! I hope OH is ok for his eye appointment on Wednesday!!

Nanto - I sounds as though your OH was out bright and early! Time to relax and put your feet up, now.

Sunshine - lovely weather for your trip to the Weald & Downland Museum. Have a great day.

That looks like an amazing meal Nanto.

Hope you have a successful trip to Dunelm Oma. I hope B can fight that virus off

I would love to go to the Weald and Downland museum. I have watched the programme from the start, such lovely gifted people.

I can't do much more gardening until Sil brings the bin around so that I can remove the pile of cut down plants. The border had got so overgrown I couldn't see the
Azalea and Pieris shrubs at the back of the border. I made a big mistake years ago by planting Japanese Anemone in the border and now it has marched its way along the border. The roots are very deep but I am going to try to dig some out.

        Good morning all.
        Sunny, mild and windy here.
Feel better soon B! Stay well everyone else.
        Don't overdo the digging Plant.

I have booked to see my mum at 3.30 today. I would have preferred 2pm, but someone has that slot. My 3 DDs will go the next three days, then me again on Thursday if she is still in hospital then. As who knows when they will see her again once back at the care home, they want to make the most of this time.
        No other plans today.
We had a lovely evening with our friends last night. It was a yummy roast chicken dinner followed by crumble and custard. It is so long since we four have has a normal evening in together like that.

        Have a happy Sunday everyone.

Morning All. Sunny here with a slight breeze but lovely. Going to carry on with my gardening jobs although my stiff back from yesterday is screaming no!! I don’t mind winter at all. It means I can put the garden to bed and get on with other things that I don’t have much time for in the summer.

Gem hope you Mum is doing ok. Your dinner last night sounds delicious- not jealous!!

Plant, I would love to visit the W & D museum - maybe next year.

Fairyqueen, we need some people here who don't mind winter , Daisy and I go into some sort of decline!! Be careful of your back out there.

Fairyqueen, take care with your back! Being nosey, I'm wondering which of your hobbies you concentrate on in the winter months. As Gem says, we're both rubbish at 'doing' winter, but at least Gem will soon start getting excited about that event at the end of December!! (Although who knows how it will be this year) while I'm so down in the dumps I can't even begin to think about it until a couple of weeks beforehand!

Gem - I hope your mum is continuing to feel better. It's ironic in a way that it's taken breaking her hip for her GDs to be able to see her! That sounds like a really relaxing and pleasant evening with your friends.

Plant - take care with the gardening! It sounds like heavy digging. I've got Golden Rod running riot in the garden - a tiny clump a friend gave me has obviously found Nirvana (as in Buddhism, not the rock band) in our garden and is determinedly pushing its roots everywhere!

It's a lovely day today. My friend M has just been round for a coffee in the garden and it was really quite warm, even in the shade.

I really like winter. Especially if we get crisp sunny mornings and clear blue skies. My house is quite high up with a view of Manchester, so in clear winter skies it looks stunning. My hobbies are reading and I’ve learned to crochet. I don’t have a lot of time in the summer months as my garden takes up a lot of time, so I love it when I don’t have to give it much attention. I also try to catch up on my Italian and generally watch a bit more t.v as I don’t watch much at the moment. I do a lot of exercise and yoga. I find if I don’t keep as fit as I can my mood drops and I start to feel low.

Fairyqueen - how lovely to have a great view like that. You must be on quite high ground! I agree about trying to keep fit (not that I'm anybody's role model) but I do like going out into the Forest when all the visitors have gone. It's so quiet and peaceful.

I wonder how Oma's shopping trip with MIL went.

It’s been a lovely sunny day so we were able to sit in the garden When we had finished working.

Very warm today, apart from preparing apples for the freezer, I have done very little except knitting and audible book.

I am missing my exercise FQ, I can't walk far or manage yoga now but I love my Aqua class, hope we can resume soon. They have started back at indoor bowls but I haven't been. Not done any gardening today as I was waiting for my sil to bring the bins round to remove the first phase. He has cut the grass and has left a bin for me to use this week. My back is a bit sore today so I am trying to rest it and not slouch in an armchair.

Pleased to hear you have managed to find some curtains, I do hope Mil likes them when they are up. Hope B feels better soon.

It is so long since I had a roast dinner, roast chicken sounds yummy.

I hope your aqua can restart soon Plant.
That sounds a good day Enfys.
Shopping for your MIL sounds a nightmare Oma!!

Another good visit with mum who is doing so well. Hopefully she will be able to move back to the care home this coming week. We will miss visiting her though, and she will miss us.

Such a lovely hot sunny day today , very hot for mask wearing in hospital though. I pity the staff like our friend who has to wear full PPE all day long.

Off to cook our tea now.

Plant - I hope you can start going to Aqua again soon. My friend who belongs to a local spa was saying that they have to book swimming sessions and only allow 3 people per lane, and only use half the lanes, but she finds some times of the day she's the only one there!

It has been a glorious day, and I feel sorry for those people having to wear masks, let alone full PPE. But Gem, I'm so pleased to hear your mum's making good progress. Let's hope when she gets back to the nursing home they have sorted out better visiting arrangements. You won't want her to be sitting outside when she's just come out of hospital.

Enfys - you are powering through lots of jobs. Well done, but don't overdo it. xx

I don't know if I mentioned this, I went to Aqua last week but I am not going today, I was talking to DS2 about it and he said it was a wise decision I try to avoid crowds, do my shopping etc early in the morning, the pool wasn't busy last week but on the way out we met a school class of young men, no distancing at all and it makes me wonder if it is really safe, it will be busier today as well, I do love going, do doubt about that, but, with all those people it does make me wonder if it is safe to go, I met a lady yesterday morning, she always went as well and she said no way was she going whilst all this was going on. I do go to the gym twice a week, I feel safe there, distancing and only so many people allowed at one session. Everything is cleaned so often as well.

Oma, I hope your MIL appreciates all you do for her, but I doubt it. Some people!!!
