Sunshine - that is fantastic news. She's made an amazing recovery, but I'm sure you will still be helping with the ironing for a while. Does that mean she will be going back to work?

Enfys - well done today. A holiday in Devon with your DD (and Dexter) would be lovely for both of you.

Oma - it's funny how dogs like lying on feet, isn't it! Two great pictures of J and Storm. They have both done some serious growing from 5 years ago!

Nanto - I hope you were able to get out in the sunshine and fresh air and get a better night's sleep tonight. Don't forget the medicinal brandy! xx

Enfys, I hope your DD manages to find a cottage for you both, and Dexter, in Devon.

I have just read all the new rules for the 14th.

Daisy, i slept a bit better last night thanks.

        In laws later.
Fish and chips for dinner today.
Hubby wants to try another nearby fish shop. He said there hasn't been any taste in those from our usual fish shop.
Told, its because your taste buds diminish as you get older.

          Good morning all.
Nan2, I hope the new fish and chip shop proves to be a good move! Pretty graphic today.

Brr, it feels cold this morning , very autumnal.
This morning I am dropping in on the library to get my instructions for my volunteering on Mondays.
School pick up for the other grandchildren this afternoon. Originally I was going to meet DD there so we could pick up GS together the first time. However as she was unable to see mum on the day she visited her, DD3 and she have swapped so she can go this afternoon. So I will pick up the children and we will meet DD for coffee and cake.

          Have a good Friday everyone.

Good morning one and all. Our end of the country is getting the better weather - it's quite pleasant here and the sun's popping in and out of the clouds.

Gem - I hope your mum has had a good night. I'm sure it will cheer her up to see your DD later. The children will be delighted to see Grandma after school this afternoon. Enjoy your coffee and cake.

Oma - I tremble for you! (Only kidding!) But I do hope your MIL is delighted with the rugs your SIL has made - or at least likes them. Best of luck with the curtains. Take care with that shoulder. It's probably too late to say 'no housework' as you probably did it before 6 o'clock! xx

Nanto - I think fish varies with the season as well. But it's always worth trying somewhere different. Let us know what the verdict is.

No plans for me today. I woke up about 5.30, thinking about all the jobs that need doing, but then sanity prevailed and I went back to sleep until nearly 9 o'clock! The jobs ranged from potting up some rosemary cuttings which now have healthy little roots to needing to clear out and sort out the whole loft, clean the outside of the caravan and move some furniture round. Fortunately I fell asleep before I remember the dreaded ironing!!!

Have a good day, ladies. xx

Thankyou everyone for the positive comments about my daughter’s recovery.
Daisy, she has been going into school when NEEDED.
She had to do safeguarding training for the staff. She found that quite painful because she was on her feet rather longer than was comfortable. But that’s done now.
She also went in to school to welcome the children back after being away so long.
The brand new little ones came in for a ‘stay and play’ They were in groups of ten for an hour at a time. DD had coffee with the parents and then they took their children home. Usually that transition time would have been done last term, but obviously that didn’t happen. All the groups have been welcomed now. They will all be back in properly from Monday.
DD has been working from home when she’s not in school. Most of the work can be done on line. All the parents and staff have her email and phone number, so can contact her directly if they need to. So she’s there in mind if not in body.
She will go in for staff meetings and to talk to parents/staff as required. She has a good team, all very keen and supportive.
The great thing about being able to drive is that she won’t be dependant on lifts/taxis any more.
Always face the sunshine and the shadows fall behind you.

Well couldnt get the curtains so have to take her to Dunelm AGAIN on Sunday ,
She was actually pleased with the rugs so that was a relief ,
She was quite happy with life this morning so visit was ok , we laid the rugs in the living room and under the dining room table for her one more job off the list .
Persuaded her to buy a new coffee table to match the new TV unit that will be delivered on Wednesday , a bit of a moan about spending money but it will all be worth it ,

Looks like its going to be heavy rain soon the sky is black .

Good morning/Afternoon windy and dry in Manchester. Nothing much to do today. Was supposed to be looking after small fairy today but big fairy is off school with a cold so they are keeping their germs to themselves. We are having a new front door fitted today- hope everyone has a good day!

Oma hope your shoulder settles. Shoulder pain can be agony- take care.

Good news about your DD Sunshine, I hope she continues to improve.

I have posted under Holidays that we have booked a cottage......v.excited.

I got up really late, popped over to DDs for coffee and sort out our little holiday so now back and will have a late lunch. Don’t think I’ll get much done today, although I do want to wash the car, so we’ll see.

Sunshine - your DD is an inspiration and her staff will be there supporting her every inch of the way. I do hope this term goes as smoothly as possible for her to give her time to fully get her strength back. What a lovely introduction to school for Year R children. xx

Fairyqueen - I hope big fairy is soon better and doesn't share her cold germs with the rest of the family. How exciting - a new front door!

Oma - thank goodness MIL likes the rugs. Good luck with the curtains.

Enfys - the car will wait if you don't feel like doing it.

                              The sun's still shining here.

I have a hair appointment on Tuesday but had a phone call the salon has had to close as one of the staff has tested positive so two weeks lockdown ,
They had a deep clean overnight mist sprayed etc but for safety sake decided its not worth the risk , very understandable i think
