Grauntie - I hope your eyes are ok. But it sounds as though there was entertainment laid on, hopefully keeping your eyes well-watered with tears of laughter. I'm not looking forward to the colder weather either.

Oma - it will be just our luck for the tips to be shut down again - we've got a slot to take the trailer on Saturday morning. It's been waiting since March.

Still no word from the possible buyers of my cousin's house. Presumably the van is still parked outside. Oma - a friend in the main building would be on the phone like a shot if they tried to get into the house. We've told our solicitor what they've done.

I did some painting this morning - not making great progress at the moment, but I'm just off to do some more!

We have to make an appointment to visit our tip now! We're not that organised! Luckily we haven't accumulated too much rubbish lately though our recycling bin is full to the from at the moment. I blame my DS and his beer cans!
Has been a glorious day,sadly I think we're in for a change tomorrow! Autumn is on its way.

Going to see GD1 and her hubby this evening. Need to take her birthday presents.
Her birthday isn't until next week,but we have to fit in with their work.

Nan2, our weather had changed. Dull overcast and cool. It rained overnight and is still drizzling.

That's quite a pile to take to the tip Oma.

This morning the plumber is coming. He will replace the bathroom radiator (beautiful, tall chrome, puts out almost no heat!!) and the one in one of the bedrooms. He doesn't know yet but we also want him to replace the taps in the downstairs loo. We bought some a while ago, but that is a job OH won't tackle. She knows her limitations!
That is the only plan today. If he is finished reasonably early we may have gone out somewhere but the weather isnt good so probably not.
This evening DD3 and SIL are coming to eat and play games. I think I will cook my vegan mushroom stroganoff.
DD1 and SIL had 4 house viewers yesterday, and more booked.

My but its grim up north , the weather is awful , dark cold and raining .

Gem i have plumber booked for next week , radiator in utility the bleed valve has broken i have a feeling the radiator will need replacing and the press down flush button on the loo keeps springing off , its like those little toys you press down then all of a sudden they spring up ,

Off to Metro centre this morning , i have some gift cards need using before December and if we go into lockdown they will be wasted , also want to pop to Ikea across the road for napkins ,

Good morning. I’m up early this morning, I have a man round!! He’s cleaning all the gutters and then the windows. My last job on the list is having the boiler serviced and that’s being done next week. The gardener came on Monday and did all the hedges/bay trees etc. He did a very good job and very reasonable too so I’m pleased.

GD starts a new job next week. The chef she worked with before she went on her travels got in touch and offered her a job. She’s looking forward to,it as she liked working with him. It’s about an hour away so she’ll be able to come home on her days off.

so I’ve had a busy week so far. Also trying hard to finish another pair of socks for GD to take with her.

How are the knees Plant? I have to do any gardening in small stages, can’t spend hours out there any more.

The plumber is here. He was early as his first job was an outdoor one so he came here first instead. We had both just had showers, so the radiator was very wet with condensation. I have dried it off with a towel!
I presume you have nice day there Enfys for your man and his jobs? Good news about your GD's job.

Good morning everyone, including Nanto's little furry friend.

We had rain overnight - it must have been heavy because it woke OH up, but the sun's shining now. I hope it lasts, but it's definitely much cooler.

Gosh, there's a lot of household jobs being done this week. I will just be grateful to get the trailer emptied so we can get it out of the front garden.

Oma - take care when you're out shopping - I hope Ikea haven't run out of napkins!

Enfys - you've done well getting all those jobs done. So pleased your GD has got a new job. I did wonder in these difficult times if she would be able to find one, but this sounds ideal.

I'll be back later - need to get showered and dressed as expecting a delivery soon.

I need to get a plumber in to fix a radiator that is not heating, I have been leaving the airing cupboard door open to warm the bathroom.

That certainly sounds a lot for the tip Oma. Pleased to hear you are buying some napkins, wouldn't like you to run out.

Snap Enfys on getting your gutters sorted I have booked mine to be done asap it looks like a garden centre growing in the back gutters all I need to do after that is arrange for someone to refelt the shed roof all the things I have never had to worry about before but getting there slowly.
This morning I have had 3 calls telling me my BB will be switched off in 24hrs and a call supposed to be from Amazon I have call screening but some still manage to get through so be aware ladies.x
