Daisy that does look sore but I'm sure it will all heal soon. I remember how T, my ex neighbour looked after having it done.
Oma, I agree about radiators. You can get special radiator paint but I have used both gloss and emulsion over the years.
The strawberries do look good Lizzie. It has made me want some!
Plant you have been busy today!

We have had a nice day
We spent a couple of hours at my mum's and made more progress. Home for a quick shower and lunch, then a lovely sunny afternoon relaxing with our friends in the garden and catching up. They brought fresh cream cakes, so even nicer!
Once they left OH and I drove to the council tip to dump the carload we had brought from mum's. Some for landfill but some for metal and wood and electrical recycling.
This evening is the quiz with friends, I am hosting tonight as the friend who was due to do it hasn't had time to set one.
Scampi, baked potato and salad for tea, so an easy one.

You're all very kind sympathising about my beaten up face, but it really doesn't hurt. The hardest thing is twice a day putting the Efudix cream on the red patches (most of which have only gone red since starting with the cream), Vaseline in the crater, and my normal moisturiser everywhere else.

Gem - I've got to use the cream and Vaseline treatment for a month.

We've always used ordinary gloss on the radiators, which is why I was wondering how good the other types of paint were.

Gem - what a lovely day you've had. It sounds as though you had a productive session at your mum's this morning. What kind friends bringing cream cakes. Although I can't actually eat them, the always look rather festive and luxurious. Did you manage to stay in the shade this afternoon?

After a slow start this morning I seemed to get more done in the garden this afternoon, including mowing the lawn and doing the edges.

All that fresh air - I'm ready for an early night. I don't think I'll get my Kindle stocked tonight!

Good morning ladies, and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Nan2!

              Another bright one here.

I hope you find some bedding Oma.

              GS1 from school this afternoon.
This morning I will walk into the village. I ordered a phone case for my new phone last week, I wasn't about to pay delivery so I had it delivered to the local post office. But I keep forgetting to collect it! I want to look in the card shop too. I have missed it and I'm sure they have missed the business all this time.

              Have a good day everyone.

Good morning early birds, and not so early birds who call in later.

Nanto - love the graphic. This morning would be perfect for a balloon flight!

Oma I hope you find bedding you like. We need new bedding for our own bed - it's getting very worn and tired looking, but I'm like you - I like to see it rather than buy it online. Being lazy I like polycotton bedding for convenience but the nicest designs all seem to be pure cotton. We've just ordered a new mattress for the 'underneath' of our stacking beds, so while I was at it I got 4 new pillows and pillow protectors as well. I know I'll end up getting new duvet sets for those beds as well. The current ones aren't very old but one has blobs of yellow paint and the other black ink stains (both done by unnamed grandchildren! )

Yes, thank you, I did sleep well, Oma.

Ooops - I forgot to hit "Reply" - so good morning to Gem as well.

Hi, another lovely day. GD2 has been messaging me for ages asking about what she should do with her seedling tomates, chard and courgettes. The have been grown inside so are quite leggy. Advice given so I hope she isn't disappointed with the results. I wish she lived nearer.

Might, although I am very late, not showered yet, go a look at some more tiles, no luck yesterday. The housework can wait for a dull or wet day.

Like you Daisy, I find there isn't much choice in poly-cotton bedding.

Oma, good luck with your search for bedding.

I've done my morning chores. I emailed the care home about the snooker on TV. Then I went for a walk and to the Post office, card shop and little Sainsburys for fruit. I was hoping there would be a table free outside the cafe I passed, then I would have stopped for a drink, but they were all taken.
I wore a cardigan rather than a jacket but was still very hot by the time I got home!

Housework can definitely wait for a dull day Plant!

Hallo, very warm and sunny today. I took my car for the MOT and service only to hear that it was planned for tomorrow, I have had it in my head so long that it was Tuesday 20th that I never thought to check. I have left it there so won't have to take it tomorrow.

I then went to get my hair cut, very neat, the girl is pregnant from her second child and stops in July until December I think she said, she has a very good friend with her own salon, she has agreed to try and fit customers in if we want it.

Oma, I hope you find the bedding you want.

Well I ended up at Dunelm , finally chose white with a sort of raised pattern , it doesn't need ironing
Ordered two sets to click and collect on Thursday as they didn't have the size in

We now need to decide on a colour for the cushions and curtains ,
We are leaning towards Sunshine yellow but its getting the right yellow , I don't want a mustard yellow so that's the next hunt around to do .
We really couldn't choose a pattern we liked so I thought go for white we can accessorize with colour .

Why does it have to be so difficult

I like that Oma, you can mix n match with colours.

I am going to make garlic soup! Now studying the recipe.

Had some lovely presents bought and loads of flowers.
                                Weather been lovely.
