I am having such a problem with my I pad now, I wonder if it is my internet connection. I am getting very frustrated.
Mimi I hope the move went to plan, as Daisy says take it slowly.
I am sure the children will will be pleased to get ack to school, seeing all their friends again and the parents working from home will not have the pressure of educating them at home.
Daisy that sounds like some serious work on your house, what has caused the problem?
Oma, your DD is amazing, no wonder you are proud of her. I hope B will be careful getting in the loft.

Lizzie - how kind of you to visit that lady. I'm sure she really looks forward to seeing you. It will be lovely when you and your neighbour can go swimming agin. I think Plant is looking forward to getting back in the water as well.
Oma - well done to your DD - she must be very fit and where on earth does she get her energy from with such a stressful, busy job!
Gem - I really don't know how some families have managed. Imagine what it must be like in a small flat with perhaps nothing more than a phone for several children to do online work with. My niece who teaches in a secondary school has struggled. She's been preparing and delivering online work at home and going in to school on a rota for the children who are there. Trying to juggle the curriculum, making sure all the children get all of the teaching and making sure they are ok as well - all in her first year of teaching. I know it's been the same for all teachers, but they must all be frustrated, exhausted and perhaps demoralised.
Plant - the problem with the roof isn't major - yet! It's the edges of the pitched tiled areas of the roof. The cement that holds the tiles in at the very edges has started to crumble. I think it's one of those jobs that needs doing about every 20 years and I don't think ours have been done since the house was built in the late 60s. Where it's crumbled water can get in and some of the roof batons over the dormer window at the front have rotted. But now they can use a sort of plastic filler which slots in, allows air to circulate and should last a good few years.

That's true. It's so difficult for all, but it really has hit some families much harder than others. Families with more space indoors, plus outdoor space, and more money to afford multiple devices have definitively had advantages many have not.

Good morning Nanto and you little friends hiding in the tea cup. Hello to everyone else as well.
It's a bit hazy but the sun is putting in an appearance, although it's quite chilly at the moment.
Hopefully our roofers should finish today. I hope the scaffolders come and take the scaffolding down tomorrow, as I can't get into my little potting shed until they do!
I've got plenty to do, but nothing urgent apart from doing the Sainsbury's order for tomorrow. I'll see how the day pans out.
EDIT: Good morning Oma. Our posts crossed. Have a lovely day with Storm. I went round our house yesterday cleaning nose bumps off everywhere, and was thinking about you, Storm and your glass table!
