Just had a lovely time playing with GGS, it is his birthday soon so picking his brains as to what he would like. His sister has just had a sleep so she is very cuddly. I keep coming and testing my ability to post.

Been a gloomy day here. Mist hasn't lifted at all and it's none too warm either!
Just back from hospital. Will write about it on YEO.
Had two offers on the house after the weekend viewings, but agent advises against accepting either yet! We haven't found anywhere yet anyway, though we have four to see at the weekend. There seem to be more coming on the market and Dishy Rishi's extension of the Stamp Duty holiday is a bit of a bonus. Have decided to make a start on going through wardrobes/cupboards etc. Sold the scaffolding tower last week, so that's one less thing to take with us. Not that we were intending using it ever again.
Have an exercise class this evening, hopefully that'll get rid of my depressed mood. Well done Oma's DD on all those squats! My teacher did something similar, but I don't think many of the the younger members joined her! Once you get started with squats it's not too bad, it's when you finish and try to stand up straight that's the problem!!
Take care ladies xx
p.s. I've had trouble getting on here for the past couple of days, but today seems OK!Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Plant - aren't they wonderful when they're all cuddly and sleepy! Moments to remember.
WeeGranny - I think the housing market will be quite busy, especially as you say with the extended Stamp Duty holiday as well as people getting vaccinated and the promise of more mixing. It's such a balancing act isn't it, between selling a house and finding another one. You need both sides to work together but it doesn't always happen that way.
I'm sorry you've had trouble getting into GRU as well. I think sometimes they're a law unto themselves. I was doing my Sainsbury's order before lunch and the website was wizzing along, really fast, and then I did a search for something they hadn't got and it crawled along after that."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. Ooh I like that Nan2. All blue, pretty and sparkly!
Good morning all.
The sun is shining here at the moment.
This morning I have an appointment at the main library in town to collect an audio book for my mum. Branches are closed but the main one is open just for collecting. You can reserve online and collect by appointment at the main library. OH will drive me in and hover. There is no parking anywhere near the library and none free. It would be silly to pay an hour's parking to nip in and out of the library!
We may go for a walk today too.
I hope everyone is well and has a good day.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Having a reasonably quiet day today, I tired myself out yesterday and when I was going to sit and relax with a coffee, I opened the fridge to get the milk and a bottle of wine fell out and shattered all over the kitchen floor I had just washed. I picked up the large pieces of glass and sat down with my coffee!!!
Overcast here too, I hope it doesn't rain Oma as I intend to go to Waitrose later.
Nanto, love the graphic

Good Moaning.
Damp here.
OH has gone to the dentist so I can turn the cricket off. Not sure what to do today, I need to go to B&Q to get huge bails of compost for DD1’s trough in her garden but I will have to wait for himself.
As usual I can’t decide what to have for dinner. Bread and pull it as my mother used to say, I thought she meant chicken as we had pullets in the garden! 🙄
Too cold for gardening, although I would be warm if I did some digging....bad idea, the ground is wet.
I’ll just have some more coffee and a think.
Oma, you have done two days work already!
Gem, sounds like a pleasant day for you.
What’s going on in Nanto2’s kitchen? Nothing cooking? Are you having a takeaway?
WG, did you do squats last night? 😁
Plant, what a dreadful waste! I hope you had a shot of something in you coffee to get over the shock!
Daisy, can you get in to the potting shed yet? I have sown seeds and brought them indoors as it’s too cold in my shed at night. The Cosmos positively leapt up at great speed.
Have a productive day all.Last edited by Grauntie Mag; 04-03-2021, 10:20 AM.Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

Good morning, one and all.
Nanto - what an eye-catching graphic - I hope it brings a smile to everyone's face.
Gem - It's a nuisance if you have to park just to collect something by appointment. We've got an annual system for parking in the towns and villages locally. You buy a 'clock' in January and just put it on display showing your arrival time. It's very convenient, and I certainly find it works out cheaper. I hope it stays fine for your walk.
Oma - you've certainly earned your tea and toast this morning! How is your back now?
Plant - Oh I feel for you! There's never a good time to break glass (especially wine!) all over the kitchen floor, but you must have already been tired and looking forward to sitting with your coffee. Even worse, you'd just cleaned the kitchen floor. I hope you managed to get all the glass up eventually. xx
Grauntie - It sounds as though you are just the teeniest, tiny bit fed up with the cricket. I'd swap you for a few days - 24-hour News for Test cricket! Is it a deal - a change is as good as a rest. I can't get into the potting shed yet - and the scaffolding may not be removed for another week. I'm quietly furious - if only they'd asked if we wanted anything out of the shed before blocking it off! The only consolation of sorts is that it's raining and too wet today, but I've already missed several good days. I could sow some seeds though - so a couple of hours in the greenhouse might be nice.
Sainsbury's arrived this morning. OH took the first basket full into the kitchen so I didn't see what was in it, but after the van had gone we realised there was no wine! no coffee pods! and no vinegar! In fact there was a whole lot of stuff missing. I was just wondering how to quickly let them know when the driver phoned, very apologetic! He came straight back with everything. OH was waiting for the vinegar to soak something in, which is why he noticed it wasn't there. So that's our excitement for today.

Parking in York is extortionate Daisy, it's a wonder we have any tourists!! I generally park at Sainsbury's, which is much cheaper at £1 an hour but it is 4 hours maximum.
I was in and out of the library in two minutes. It started to rain heavily so we came home! The forecast is much better for this afternoon, so we will try again to go for a walk then.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Daisy, I hope you get into your potting shed soon, they probably don't need the scaffolding for another week so good storage for them.
I did a big shop in Waitrose today, very quiet, no queuing. 25% off wine so guess what was in my shopping bags.
I found out today that a friend of mine was in our local nursing home and had been for a year. I had tried calling her, passed her house lots of times, no Christmas card, I thought she must have gone to live with one of her daughters. The house has not been sold, it was mysterious and if I had known she was in the nursing home I would have visited her Covid permitting. I will write her a note telling her I will visit when I am allowed. Unfortunately she was very bad at keeping in touch, always pleased to go out to lunch when I suggested it. I must confess I got a bit fed up that it was always me who made the contact. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Plant, well done on the wine bargain! I'm sure your friend will really appreciate hearing from you. I understand about always being the one to keep in contact. Eventually the friendship tends to die as it can't be one sided.
We had a lovely walk this afternoon. The forecast was right and although not sunny it stayed fine and wasn't too cold.
