No, Oma! A chain saw has never entered my head. I keep asking myself why? I can only think he wants it really but couldn’t justify it. I’m fed up with pretending to be pleased. 😬

Mimi - not surprising you haven't been able to fully keep up - you have been a tiny bit busy with moving house! xx

Enfys - it was a lovely bright day but a very chilly wind, and it feels very cold now. It's surprising how strange it feels to be out and about, doing things that we've been used to doing for many, many years, apart from this last year. A weekly bunch of flowers has been my lockdown treat - the daffs are beautiful this week.

Oma - tut, tut, but I hope you're wrong about the blood test and it's ok. The phone calls got funny at one stage. I was chatting to my BIL on the landline and my mobile rang. It was the dentist who had arranged to check I was fit and well before a check up on Monday, so I felt I had to answer it. I said to my BIL I hope he didn't mind if I answered my mobile and would he like to speak to OH. He said yes, so as I walked round to find OH I said it was lovely to hear from him and to give my love to his wife, while pressing the answer button on my mobile. So the lovely receptionist was greeted with best wishes and my love. I don't think many dentists get offered love!

Grauntie - how kind of your OH to treat you to a chain saw. I'm sure he would be over the moon if you lent it to him occasionally, if you can spare it!

I buy more clothes from Land's End than anywhere else. They are good quality and mostly the sizes are consistent. Sometimes I'd like a better colour choice, but it's still my go-to online.

We've had a lovely day with the dogs. They've played a lot and been very entertaining. DS2 came and collected Cooper at tea time and Eva had her tea and went to sleep!

This week seems to have gone very quickly - does anyone else feel the same?

DD had a lovely day, lots of presents and flowers kept arriving, GD1 came for most of the day with baby H. I had a glass of champers with them before dinner, then her OH was cooking steaks for their dinner.I think she had a lovely day, in spite of not seeing the rest of the family. Hermes and Amazon were very busy delivering parcels. It is her big 60 next year.

                Happy Saturday everyone

Plant, how nice that your DD had a nice birthday. Any birthday with small baby in the family is a good one
It's good to get out Nan2, a bit of normality.
Mimi, every day in your new home is one more towards settling in.
We have had clothes from Land's End Daisy I agree they are good.
Grauntie, all I can suggest regarding the chainsaw, is that next time you want to give your OH a present, make sure it is something you really want!

Dull here but dry. No plans today, see what the day holds.
GS2 and I spent most of yesterday drawing and colouring, we did a lot! Then I built some hidden dens in the sand out outside for his animals. It was cold, but it got him out!
There is a section on one of his books here about drawing baby animals. Of course he wanted to me do them all. He was most encouraging. He kept saying 'Grandma, you are trying your best' !

                Have a good day ladies.

Good Saturday morning everyone. We've had a bit of frost overnight but it's dry and sunny at the moment.

Grauntie - I love Gem's suggestion for your OH's next present from you!

I'm not sure what I'll end up doing today. I didn't sleep well - OH was in training for the Marathon in the Snore Olympics, bless him, and I feel headachey, backachey, tired and irritable. The dog food delivery is due sometime late morning and I need to tidy the freezers, but don't feel like doing it. I'd better get a shower and get dressed, then I'm sure I'll feel better.

                  Have a good day everyone.

Love him Gemini, he has you sussed.

Love the happy graphic Nanto, love our farm shop, veg is so fresh.

No plans today, I have injured my L. knee. My bed was too close to my bedside cupboard so I tried to give it a push with my knee, knee didn't like it. That puts paid to any gardening I had planned for today. Not sure what the temp. is outside, we had sun yesterday but it was bitterly cold.

Oma, pleased you are still in touch with Libra, I presume her DD is much about the same, very sad.

Ok Oma I will have a look. I can't find your text Oma. Had a look on email and messages too.

Knee just being a nuisance, it seems better if I keep moving, if I sit it hurts a lot when I start walking. Stupid thing to do.

Wool just arrived so I can start knitting the latest project, it is a sleeveless wrap cardigan, I suppose that makes it a waistcoat. Sil has just been in with 2 parcels, one was the wool and the other a present for GGS, his birthday is at the end of this month.
