Nanto - I was just catching up with Chat before going to bed and telling myself I'd better set the alarm, just in case!

I thought the Monte Carlo programme looked quite interesting, but I'll have to watch it on catch up as I forgot about it this evening.

Night, night everyone. Sleep well - Oma, that includes you my dear.

Daisy I would think 10.30 was very early for a visitor too! When I started my own business, I set my starting time as 10 am. I tried not to book anyone in before 10.30 am however

I'd like some pineapple upside down cake. My ex OH used to make that for our Sunday lunch pudding sometimes.

Sun is shining, so a nice start to the day.

Daisy, there are 3 episodes for the Monte Carlo programme. We watched the first one last night.
We must remember about the other two.

        Off to in laws later.

Good morning everyone. It's dull here and looks as though it might rain - but I'm up and getting on with things.

Gem - I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks 10.30 is early. I always tried to avoid doing photoshoots before 10 am! But I know the friends we're seeing are early risers - the husband in particular. He's up and in the garden by 5 am! I hope the sun stays out for S's golf.

Oma - I'm sorry you've had another night with little sleep - I don't know how you keep going! New garden chairs - how lovely! But hopefully the weather will improve and you'll be spending more time in the garden again to make good use of them.

Nanto - thanks for the info about the Monte Carlo programme. I mustn't get too far behind or else I'll never see all 3 episodes. I hope your in-laws are ok - I'm sure they're always pleased to see you. What a pretty graphic - and I love butterflies.

Avo - if you're looking in, I hope you're ok too. Is there any chance you'll be able to go to Portugal this summer? It must be very difficult making sure your home there is ok if you can't visit.

We haven't seen Aggie for a while, so I hope she's keeping well and safe too. Does anyone know how Nannycuddles' back is?

I shall clean the bathrooms today, no excuse. The sun is out atm, I think the forecast is to be fine today but the garden is pretty much up to date and sil has cut the grass. I have received a new consignment of yarn so got started on that yesterday in between sewing squares together. Not going to be easy to knit as it is thin bits and thick bits in marble colours. Drove past the pond on my way to the surgery and it was very busy, the little cafe was doing a good trade in take-out coffee etc. It was reported on the local website that some youngsters were noisily cavorting in the pond in the early hours, not a good idea.

It would be nice to see some of our old friends popping in, I wonder how Aggie is.

                  Good moaning each.
Plant, I have some lovely King Cole yarn waiting for me. It’s multi coloured and I intend to make a cardi. 😬 I remember my Ma having a knitting machine and being very productive. I was given a second hand machine when DD1 was small, I made a few things but then I must have got rid of it. Looking at eBay I’m tempted but probably won’t bother.
Plenty I could be doing today but I’m giving myself the day off 😂😂.

Warm here too Nan2 and it was sunny, but now clouding over. I am keeping an eye out as I have washing on the line.
I have done little so far today except the washing, had a bath, emptied the dishwasher and been for some petrol. OH still not back from golf.

Have posted on YEO. It’s been a tough week.

A very sunny day again today. DD popped into the garden for coffee this morning. They are on holiday, should have been in a little cottage in Devon for the week, but they have rebooked for next year. Luckily the weather is nice so they are able to go out for longs walks in the forest without meeting many people.

Ive managed to keep up with the gardening and yesterday had a window cleaner round. The first time I’ve ever done that, we’ve always done them ourselves but I decided enough was enough and I needed help. He was very good, we kept inside whilst he worked and all the windows, doors and frames look lovely. He is just starting the business up and lives nearby so I’m happy to support him.

Otherwise, we’re just plodding on, I’m still not going out apart from a short walk and will wait and see how things turn out after the madness of the past couple of weeks.

It's a good idea to have the window cleaner come Enfys, anything which makes life easier you should do. Window cleaning is quite safe. Ours came couple of weeks ago. We stayed inside and left his money in an envelope on the patio table.

Not a very productive day today. My ibs has been flaring, so that's my excuse.
Exercise is good for ibs, but when you have it you don't feel like going for a walk!
OH is making our tea, then she has a Zoom committee meeting at 7. I may read, come online or go upstairs to watch TV while she's in the meeting.

Not a very busy day for us today . OH was a little down this morning as we hadn't bothered to get each other a card and he knew we would have gone out to celebrate but still never mind, there is always next year.

I heard on the radio that the government scheme of the food hampers will stay in place till October so obviously they can't see much of a change with this horrible virus.

I took down the NHS rainbow picture down from the window today as it had faded so much it was hard to see the individual colours. It was a bit of a b****r getting the sellotape residue off the window but white vinegar with a dash of washing up liquid and patience won through. I know I should have used blu tack but I can't look at that stuff let alone touch it without feeling nauseous.

                                Keep safe ladies
