Very hot again here today. Washed kitchen floor, a necessity as a knocked a big pot of yoghurt off the shelf in the door and it went everywhere. Also did some baking. Popped over to drop something off at DD’s and ended up going into their garden. Had a nice chat, keeping well away, but still felt very strange. So a nice day here.

Daisy, I dropped a big hint to DGS about cleaning our car, don’t know if he heard me or not .......we shall see 😀

Our next door neighbour spent 4 hours last week cleaning his car which hadn't been out of the garage since the start of lockdown! Don't know what he thinks of my mucky one!

Well i don't feel as though i have done much today.
Did my chores at in laws. Came home, had coffee then did a bit of tidying up.
Had a card to post through someones letterbox for mam,so me and hubby walked it.
Went round by the coop,so popped in for a couple of individual cream trifles, which we will have later.

Gem - I hope S enjoyed her golf. It must be nice to be out on the golf course on such a lovely day.

Plant - our nearest car wash is awful - they seem to put the price up every week, and don't even do a good job, so OH usually takes them to a really good place in Christchurch, but we don't know if it's open, and even if it is, not sure we should go. So it was elbow grease for us!

Oma - that was a nice surprise. A lovely fresh loaf, DD, GS and Storm! I think Storm's got you sussed - a soft touch every time! LOL Still, ice cream on a hot day was probably very welcome. I'm sure GS will be very sensible if he can go back to school from the 4th.

Enfys - I'm sure the last thing you felt like doing today was cleaning the kitchen floor. Don't accidents like that always happen when you least expect them, and don't feel like coping with the mess. Having a chat with your DD does you good. I hope GS takes the hint about your car!

WeeGranny, I bet your neighbour will just look down his nose at your perfectly normal car! But he's spent 4 hours slaving away at an unnecessary job. I know who I think is smartest! I had to clean mine because you couldn't see through the windows and I've got to drive OH to the hospital tomorrow for his eye injection.

Nanto - some days are like that. You seem to be on the go, but have nothing to show for it.

Oma, I bet that visit was a tonic
Some days are less busy than others Nan2.
            Your neighbour sounds bored WG!
I bet it was nice to see your DD Enfys. It will have done you good.

The sun took a long time to reach us. We were under band of cloud apparently, it lifted by mid afternoon.
The GC reluctantly braved the pool in the afternoon, then enjoyed it, and GS only got out because he had to get dried and dressed in order to eat tea!
OH enjoyed the golf thanks Daisy.

Big announcement - Our bin was emptied today. It had been out there since Wednesday night!

Had our family Tuesday quiz night on Zoom again. We do have a laugh. We scored the lowest but still enjoyed it. I think we all need a good laugh.

                Good morning. Sun is shining.
Gem, it was cloudy here yesterday until midday.

It will probably be the usual kind of day for us.

Daisy, hope OH's eye appointment goes well.

Hey ho,onwards and upwards. Hope you all have a good day.

Thinking of Daisy and OH with the eye appointment and NannyCuddles with her mri today.
                  Sunny day here too Nan2.

This morning I am going me meet GS1 for a walk I don't actually know how long it is since we have seen each other. A very long time. They put themselves into voluntary quarantine when a friend had suspected covid. We think she did have it, but she is in her 30's is fine now and no one caught it from her, thank goodness. Just as the time was approaching that DD considered it safe to see us, lockdown was announced.
Anyway, today we will meet up for a walk. His mum will drop him off and come back for him. I am taking a picnic. This poor boy, being an only child has seen no one but mum and dad so for SO long. It is other children he really needs to see, but that's not happening yet.
No other plans apart from that.

                  Have a good day everyone.

Have a lovely walk with GS1 today Gemini, it must have been a difficult time for him, he has a very active mind.

Thinking of folk with hospital visits, hope they go well.

No pressing jobs for me, will probably have to water again this evening.

Oma, Storm was so excited to see you, he hadn't forgotten where the cheese is kept.

Good morning. I’ve Had a lovely walk all over the park, up to the common and back through the woods. So lovely to walk under the trees and hear all the birds singing. Not many people about yet. Passing the little parade of shops at the end of our road, I noticed that the little cafe was open for take aways so I stopped and took two lattes home. And it is delicious!

Just had a phone call from the hospital to make an appointment for my 24 hour holter heart monitor which was cancelled a few weeks ago. So it looks like things are slowly getting back to normal, it’s next Wednesday. I have to go to a very small local cottage hospital, phone when I get there and the nurse will come out and take me in. She said she will fully masked and gowned and will give me a mask. I will be glad to get that done.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Hello everyone and OH says thank you for all your kind thoughts. We’re back home, showered and everything in the washing machine. I’ve just sat down and Eva has come to sit on my lap for a cuddle.

Envys, what a lovely walk, and a nice treat at the end as well. I bet lots of small cafes are glad to be open for takeaways. They must have lost a lot of income during lockdown. I’m glad you’ve got an appointment for your heart monitor. Nice too that you haven’t got to go to B&P hospital, although Southampton General is now very well organised. Pathways being closed because of building work created more problems than Covid precautions.

Gem - GS1 is going to be so excited to see you. Enjoy your picnic in the sun.

Oma, what a busy morning, but well done on getting two deliveries done. Were the nieces your brother’s DDs? I hope they’re ok, it must be such a sad time for them, as it is for everyone who has lost a loved one during this pandemic, wether through the virus or other causes.

Plant, relax and enjoy the sunshine. How’s the knitting going?

Nanto, I can almost smell that pretty pink rose. 😘

I'm just going to find out where I posted my last quiz, so that I can put the answers up. I found this one particularly difficult.

Hope you're all enjoying the sunny day.

What a lot of phone calls Oma
I'm glad you had a nice walk plus takeaway coffees Enfys!
Good to hear you're both safely back Daisy.

We had a lovely time. At 7 GS1 is perfectly able to maintain the two metre distance (and kept swinging his arms out when we were walking to ensure we were sticking to it!!)
He did say it was hard to not cuddle, and was really hoping that lockdown rules soon allowed going to family and friends houses and not maintaining social distancing there. He also said he was a bit unsure about coming today as he would miss Mummy. I said that was one of the good reason to, as if he sees no one but Mummy and Daddy until the day he goes back to school, it will be harder (One of the reasons DD2 wanted GS2 to come to us before going back to pre school next week) He agreed, and was very chatty and enjoyed our time together despite the no cuddling. We went to the common and through the woods and enjoyed our picnic and some good chats. I think he is coping very well, all things considered.
DD and GS met me in the car park, and DD met up with us again there a couple of hours later.
I have been in the garden with OH since I got back. I need a rest from the sun, though so have come in.

Knitting is going well Daisy. Pleased the hospital visit went well.
Strange weather here this morning, very muggy, not a lot of sun but sunny this afternoon. I cut back a Broom bush, it was getting too big for its boots. The rest of the day it was book and knitting sitting on a new sun lounger.
