Good morning Nan2, Lizzie and all our ladies.
Oma, I'm glad the parcel(s!) arrived.
There is something comforting about ashes being returned to loved ones I think. My Dads were at the funeral directors for a long time, as mum wanted. In the end she agreed I could keep them until they go with hers. I felt happier once they came to me.
It sounds as though there were very excited doggies there Daisy!
It's so nice eating home grown food isn't it Mimi?
Well done to OH with the tap fitting Nan2.
You have been busy Lizzie!
It was so lovely to have the GC yesterday , and to feel I was helping. DD and SIL will have to let their office go as the rent is very expensive and who knows when they will be able to go back. All the staff are managing to work from home. The ultimate plan was always to build an office on their own land, to save the rent and the amount of daily travel they both do. There is room, but I don't know if they will. If me having the children once a week helps I am glad. The bonus to me is seeing them of course! Their other GPs are older than us and the GD has health issues, so they won't be having them for now.
The sun is shining here. It was very hot yesterday. It's supposed to be cooler today.
Sainsbury's shopping to collect this morning. NHS clap at 8pm, then I think a family video chat.
Not sure what else today holds yet.
Take care everyone and have a good day.āA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.ā ā Unknown

Woke up at a ridiculous time, I don't do 7am. I need to do some cleaning today, the garden has taken up most of my attention recently. It was a very hot day yesterday, I saw on FB that people were flocking to the coast again, at least they were in their own cars in traffic jams for most of the time. I have a click and collect from Waitrose today, my DD doesn't want me to go and pick it up, she or her OH will collect it.
Difficult time for people in small businesses Gemini, I hope they can survive this difficult time. I bet you enjoyed you time with the GC yesterday Gemini, I am sure they were pleased to see you. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

I woke up really early too, Plant, just before 6! I feel like half the day has gone already. Seeing the pictures of our local beaches yesterday, couldnāt believe the crowds, just like a normal summers day. I really hope we donāt get another huge spike of CV later but I think itās highly possible.
Ive noticed on FB lots of local small businesses, cafes etc are doing a delivery service for cream teas, picnic food etc. Such a good idea and it seems really popular.
Another hot hot day today forecast, I planning more meals for the freezer before I get my next Asda delivery so I can use stuff up and see how much I need to order.
Have a a good day everyone š
edited: Plant, Iāve just started playing Words with Friends, could I send you an invite?

Morning ladies .
Gem did you take pics of the children yesterday ? Bet they had a lovely time .
SIL is lucky the unit he rented had a half rent for first year and he also applied and received a grant so it's ticking along till they can have the grand opening .
Plant I can't imagine why people would want to sit in a hot car in a queue can you go home sit in your garden with a picnic .
Enfys we have lots of small places doing cream teas by delivery seems very popular too
Lizzie you did go to the bulb fields didn't you ? Could be pollen as you say but you have done a lot too , take care .
Didn't get to bed till 5.30 then up again at 8 . 30.
āāāāāāWell i tell a lie I went up at 11 and was back down at 12.15 . It was so stuffy even with both bedroom window's open I just couldn't get settled . I came downstairs and read my book and pottered around
The Butterfly hanging my DD bought me for the fence in memory of my Brother was all lit up during night I didn't realise it was solar light so a nice surprise when I opened kitchen door and looked out of window , I called it John too
Gem it's raining here too although said sun by lunch time we will see.
Hope everyone is ok xxx

Good morning everyone. It's a beautiful warm sunny day here, but I think tomorrow's forecast isn't so good.
Lizzie - glad you're feeling better - enjoy the Bank Holiday.
Gem - I think most people feel like that about ashes. I wish I did - in a way it's easier. I think I will scatter my cousin's ashes at the crematorium - his parents' ashes are there too. We don't know what happened to his wife's ashes - she wanted half of them to go back to Russia.
I thought about you seeing two of your GCs yesterday. I think a lot of businesses, large and small, will be rethinking their premises after lockdown is finally over. A lot of companies will realise they don't need so much space because people can work from home more. My DS2 and DIL were just about to sign a new lease on their premises at the end ofApril, but the landlords are very good and aren't hassling for it at the moment.
Plant - you must have been tired after all the work in the garden. Unfortunately the housework catches up with us doesn't it! It's a beautiful day today, but I must prep some food for Eva, and I've been promising OH I'll make banana bread as soon as we get enough bananas to let them get ripe enough. Today's for day for that, as well!!
Enfys - I saw the pictures of the beaches as well - and as for that queue to the ice cream kiosk on the front .... how badly can you need an ice cream!! It makes me cross because if there is another spike we'll all suffer in some way. When I drove over to DS2's yesterday the Forest car parks were packed. I think they need to open some of the bigger ones because when visitors find them full they park on the verges causing all sorts of hazards.
Clover - I'm glad you're getting out for a walk most days. I know you are careful, and it does you good to have a little change of scene.
Take care, everyone. xx

Oma, no I didn't take any pics yesterday, too busy enjoying them š I will next week. I
won't be posting anything on social media however as I know some would not approve. Plenty are doing similar things but just keeping quiet.
Aww, John the butterfly ā¤ļø.
I don't know how all these people dare flock to the seaside and crowd together Daisy.
I would love to go, and we may do, but only to a quiet spot with no crowds. If there were lots of people around we wouldn't even get out of the car.āA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.ā ā Unknown

Very hot here again, I am finding shade.
Enfys, I play Word Chums, you can find me under the name ann8770. Grauntie plays too.
Oma, I hope it will not be too long before your Sil can open his shop. I am not sure why I woke early, my problem is that the sun shines in my bedroom early morning.
My OH's ashes were scattered in the bluebell wood at the Crematorium by myself and my daughter.
Going with my DD to collect my click and collect order later, I will stay in the car.
Why has my posting changed to italic writing, I must have changed something. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
