    Good morning ladies

Sun is out already done one wash now Bedding in , stripped beds and opened windows wide ,

B is taking the chance to pressure wash the car while he can .

Lizzie that's such a good idea putting license fee on taxes , my MIL is 86 she now has to pay , luckily she can afford it but many old people would struggle .

Daisy I always find I can get more done when I'm alone than when B is hovering about in the background .

Nanto I know the delivery people don't want to make contact but they should let you know it is there. I hope you enjoy your trip to town.

Bright here this morning, I want to plant the plants I bought at the garden centre earlier this week. I wish I knew more about pruning fruit trees, the new eating apple trees have produced a lot of new growth, I am sure I should cut those back so that they grow fruiting spurs on the older wood. I don't think I should do it now, I think I should have done it in the winter/spring as we don't have many apples this year. I have watched so many Utube films but still confused. We planted two apples 2 plums (they are loaded) 1 pear, 2 cherry, 1 quince, which refuses to fruit, on what was my OH's veg garden, 5 years ago. Our fig tree produces fruit but they fall off and the tree gets bigger and bigger.

GS 2 (the physio) and his partner are coming today from London, she is going to see her parents and GS is coming here, I will want to hug him, he is a good hugger. They are flying off to Italy tomorrow!! DD is quite worried about that.

        I will pop back later

          Good morning ladies.

We had a lovely evening at DD2's, despite the weather! So lovely to be together. DD's dad had brought his event shelter earlier in the day, and bedecked with pretty lights. We also had a gazebo next to it so we could all distance and keep dry for the rainy spells

Another nice social day ahead for me. We are going over to my auntie's today, and to friends for a garden takeaway this evening. The forecast is much better today. After breakfast I must go to M and S. I told my auntie I would take lunch, as she treated to lunch at the bistro last time, so I will get a few things from there.

          Have nice day everyone.

Well we've been into town. It was ok but not the same as it was.
Certainly not as many shoppers about.
It was nice when we were sat outside the cafe with coffee.
Later we had our meal at the cafe.
Managed to get what i needed in Wilko's.
Went to the butchers and hubby said double up on everything, so i did.
Shouldn't need to go again for a while.
Also got all that we needed/wanted in Morrisons.

Gem, pleased you had a good time at DD2's.

Nanto - a successful shopping trip even though it wasn't quite back to how it used to be.

Gem - glad you had a lovely evening, despite the weather. I hope you've enjoyed lunch with your Auntie.

Plant - I think pruning fruit trees is difficult too, but I'm pretty sure you should prune apple trees in mid-winter when they're dormant. I'm afraid the fig tree is another thug in the making. Can you dig down round it and put in some kind of barrier to contain the roots? Most people seem to grow them in a vary large pot. Enjoy seeing GS2. xx

Oma - I bet your car is all nice and sparkly now!

Enfys - I agree with Oma - please do take some time out for yourself. xxx

Good morning everyone, and nice sunny one where I live.

A good day for gardening Nan2.

It was lovely too see my auntie yesterday. She does so well for her age. I will write more in the What I did Today thread,
A nice evening with friends last night too, but not so warm!

No plans today apart from to cook a Sunday roast (I know the first nice day for ages, but we had planned on this all week, and too the pork out of the freezer when we got in last night!)

                  Happy Sunday ladies.

                    Morning Nanto/ladies

                    It's a lovely morning,
I was woken at just before 4 this morning with terrible cramp in my ft calf and nothing would ease it so had to get up and walk around , ended up putting a hot pack on to relax the muscle

I got a lot done very early though

Just had a shower and tried to do something with my hair but it's that thick and long now withing 10 minutes of blow drying it's flat again .

Nanto you should get a fair bit done in garden today but don't over do it xx

Gem how was your Auntie ? I bet she was pleased to see you , any news on when you can visit your Mum ?

Plant I never know when to prune our little patio apple tree but to be honest it's looking a bit unhealthy so I think it will have to go so I won't have that trouble

                      Good sunny Sunday morning everyone.

Nanto - what a lovely graphic.

Oma - ouch, that sounds very painful. OH get cramp in his left leg sometimes and I think it's after he has had a very lazy, sitting around day, but I'm sure you never sit around all day - you're always busy. I hope you can get your hair done soon if it's being difficult. I'm so thankful I'd let mine grow long enough for it not to matter - otherwise I'd be hacking at it with the scissors myself!

Nanto - have a good gardening day.

Gem - I look forward to hearing all about your day.

I'm just off for a shower. My friend M is calling round later, and I might do a bit of housework (not much) and then I want to carry on with my painting. Oh, and I must remember to do the Sainsbury's order for Tuesday!

Have a good day, everyone. xx

Daisy we have the first supermarket delivery since before lockdown next Sunday, you have reminded me I must add the the order!
Those cramps are so painful Oma, and leave you sore afterwards. The only thing I find works is to put the whole of your weight on the cramping leg. It forces the muscle to straighten out.
Auntie was fine thank you Oma. Tomorrow I am going to email the manager at mums care home as I do at least once a week, and ask her what they intend to do about outdoor visiting. I know other homes have set up little gazebos and a table so you sit either side distancing.

Happy birthday to Storm. Oma, I get cramp occasionally but find just getting up and walking on it usually cures it. What a shame it woke you up when you need your sleep.

GS2 came home from London yesterday, lovely to see him. He is having lunch with his GF's family today and tomorrow they are off to Italy. DD has invited GS1 and his family for lunch so that they can see each other. GD2 is possibly coming to visit tomorrow, my DD had a big smile on her face. GD1 and her partner will be back tomorrow too.

Gemini, Sil and my DD went to see his mother, they are having visitors by appt. in the garden room at the nursing home, she was asking after me and suggested I went to see her, so I will phone the nursing home next week and fix a time. They should be doing something similar at your mother's nursing home, unless they have any cases of the virus. Hope you get to see her soon.

Plant, no cases of the virus so far, and they have regular testing. I hope you get to see your friend. I will look into the situation at Mum's place tomorrow.
