Not a good night my ankle were aching then B got a Migraine. He never gets headaches so unusual for him he couldn't sleep with it so it will be a very tired day for us I think .

Bed stripped and bedding in wash . Fresh bedding ironed .
It's a wet start but said it's going to get warmer

Nan2 , good to hear your MIL felt better as the day went on yesterday.
That sounds like a good system for the blood tests Plant.
It's hard for parents deciding about school at the moment Mimi. DD and SIL2's business will be in trouble if they cant get back to work soon, and information about risks to children and from them to adults is so conflicting. I will be looking after then for a day a week as I always did, as that is less risky, for now anyway.


It feels chilly here, I think this weeks forecast was wrong!
OH and I both have nice things to do this morning. Golf for her, meeting my friend M in the park for me. The park is just behind where M lives. She is bringing 2 cushions to make the bench more comfortable. We are both bringing a flask and will distance on picnic benches.

Nanto - pleased to hear your MIL felt better yesterday - I hope they have a lovely day today for their 75th anniversary.

Plant - there's always one who doesn't 'get' the rules! It's good to know your injection can go ahead.

Oma - you and B definitely need an easy day today. I hope B's migraine clears up quickly. I wonder what brought it on. And have you been playing football again, young lady! Seriously I hope things are better today.

It's cloudy here this morning, Gem, but not cold. I didn't get round to cutting the lawn yesterday, so it's a priority for today, unless it rains, of course! I'm sure S will enjoy her golf, and your meeting with your friend M sounds lovely. Hopefully the weather will improve for you.

Apart from doing the lawn, no special plans for today, apart from finishing my Sainsbury's order. I might just do nothing!!!

Oma - I often miss posts, especially if they are on an earlier page or post just a minute or two before me - like I didn't see Plant's post this morning until just now.

J had cramps again this morning - not as bad but 4 am! Eva ignored him this time!!

We've had another busy day .
OH was busy outside while I had the task of catching up on bills paid, bills due to be paid and sorting out a reduction in our Sky subscription. I was horrified to discover that for over 12 months we have been paying for kids TV ( I know I am married to a big kid but even he wouldn't watch that ) 🤣😁 and Sky box sets which we never use . I have cancelled those and it means we have a reduction of £10 a month. Every little helps as they say .
I have also brought from the Card Factory online enough birthday and wedding anniversary cards for all up and coming events between now and October. As the post is taking longer and longer to arrive I thought I would forward plan.

This afternoon I planted some marigolds which I grew from seed in the front garden. It seems strange that we don't have several planters and hanging baskets on the go but never mind we have some colour from the plants that grow year after year.


Nan2, I read your post, are you feeling less annoyed now.

Mimi - they make some of these subscription packages so complicated and obscure! When we first got Sky it included Sky Sport and another service (can't remember what it was). One day a friend of OH's was saying he was sorry the golf wasn't on BBC and I promptly suggested he came and watched it at ours. OH burst out laughing. We had cancelled Sky Sports two years previously, and I hadn't even noticed!!

Good morning, lovely and sunny here. I’m sitting in bed, windows wide open, listening to the birds singing. There definitely seem to be more birds around this year, so many visiting the feeders yesterday.

All my seedlings are doing really well since I potted them up, had my first home grown lettuce yesterday. Nothing much planned for today although DH has requested lasagne for lunch and I must get the slow cooker out and get some more meals done ready for the freezer. Otherwise we’ll just see what the day brings.
