    Good morning everyone.
Nan2, we like scampi and I forgot to put it on this weeks shopping list.
Lizzie, cystitis is such a miserable thing to have isn't it? I hope these meds really sort it out.
Oh your poor DIL Clover! As you say, there isn't a lot to be done for broken toe. Very painful though. Even stubbing a toe is agony.

No plans today. I must do some form of exercise today, as everything stiffens up more if I don't. Just a short walk maybe.
I am thinking of asking my reflexologist if she can come over next week and do a treatment in the garden. It is so long since I had one, and it can only help. It was me who stopped the treatments not her so I'm sure she will be happy to.

    Enjoy the lovely weather ladies

      Morning ladies
Clover poor DIL , Gem is right just stubbing your toe is bad enough , I have had several broken little toes and once my big toe my own fault for big toe I went to kick B and he moved and I kicked the wooden coffee table leg hard
All they do is strap two toes together .

Lizzie I can imagine how miserable you must feel with that , our dear Tizzy suffered badly with it .
I hope each day gets better for you xx

Gem how is your back today ? Some reflexology might be just the ticket for you XX

Plant how are you today did you leave your knitting alone yesterday ? Xx

      Nanto enjoy your shopping

B has started to sand the worktops down so all the kitchen is covered in dust sheets , just doing one bit at a time . It's the oil I can't stand the smell of it gives me a headache we can keep the patio doors open when he does that if the weather stays nice .

Got Iceland coming at 9 although half the stuff isn't in stock by email this morning
Have a good day ladies xxc

Thanks ladies, I do feel better today, so, maybe the last medicine did its work! I do suffer from it, a lot, that is another story!

Good morning ladies. Yet another beautiful sunny day.

Lizzie - I'm sorry you've been feeling so low just lately. Cystitis doesn nothing to make you feel happy, but thank goodness it's easing off with the latest medication. It will be interesting to see how the easing of lockdown goes in Holland. I hope there isn't a spike in infections.

Oma - only you could break a tow by NOT kicking your OH! Very painful though. xx Is B using Danish oil on the worktops? I quite like the smell, but it's not easy to persuade my OH to redo the ones in the utility room.

Nanto - salad and scampi sounds perfect to me.

Gem - do take it easy. I agree moving around a bit helps, but not too much. I hope your reflexology friend can help.

Clover - ouch, that toe must be very painful, poor thing. I bet you wish you could help your sister when she is so hard pressed, but I do think you need this quiet time to rebuild your strength after everything you've been through in the last few years. Be kind to yourself, please. xx

I was treated to a cup of tea in bed this morning, and a lovely pile of beautiful birthday cards to open. I'm just off to read them properly - with another cuppa. No other plans at the moment.

Good morning all. Its another hot day

Lizzie hope the meds you are taking are tackling cystitis. It can make you feel so down , it took me ages to get on top of the horrible thing . I had to have antibiotics from the dr in the end and now I drink a glass of cranberry juice every morning in the hope I don't succumb to it again. I have had it regularly for almost two years now.

Clover hope your DIL isn't in too much pain A few years ago eldest GS broke his big toe playing football and just as he was about to have the strap removed his sister, GD, broke her big toe when a horse stepped on it , you couldn't make it up ! On both occasions their toes were just strapped up.

Gem we went for a short walk this morning in the hope that our collective bad backs stop hurting. Mine was so bad last night that I hardly slept at all.

I see those who have been shielding since March can go outside tomorrow, This applies to England, not sure about Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

              Keep safe everyone

Only an idiot would cook a full roast chicken lunch with all the trimmings on a hot day like today..... We are having roast chicken with all the trimmings for lunch......

Oma, My neck come head is not too bad this morning but I have yet to do any knitting.

Mimi, can't you have the roast this evening when it is cooler.

Gemini, I hope your friend can give you some relief with reflexology.

Hope you are planning a day of spoiling Daisy.

I am not allowed cranberry juice as I take warfarin.

Last night, the shed dwellers heard a strange sound in the night, thought someone was trying to break in. DD's partner went out with his phone torch and found a badger trying to tunnel under the cabin and shed behind, the cat was staring at it. It ran away but came back for another go and then made off into the woods. We certainly don't want badgers.

Plant I can't eat a cooked meal to late in the day as I have an hiatus hernia and I would spend most of the night either in pain or with reflux acid in my throat and mouth.

We're having a roast tonight when it's cooler! Found a couple of mini-roasts from DD's butcher ( Hall's of Hazlemere Plant!), one lamb, one beef so we're having them. Just big enough for one person and nothing left over. We've always eaten our main meal at night, don't think I could cope with cooking a meal in the middle of the day...I'd never get anything done in the afternoon if I ate a proper meal then! Mimi do you take any medication for your reflux/hernia?

That's abit scary having a badger trying to move in Plant! Hope he's decided the residents aren't very friendly!!!

I broke a toe in the middle of winter and had to wear sandals!! It was just strapped up to the one next to it! Same with my finger, strapped up to next one.

OH is very excited about being 'let out' tomorrow!!! He hasn't been out of the courtyard since lockdown started. I don't think he's planning on going anywhere yet, though I may take him for a drive somewhere just to let him see what's been happening in the outside world.

Good butcher Halls, WG. He had a butchers with his father in our village. Then he moved to Hazlemere, he has done very well. The family live in our road and drive very posh cars. Try Trouts at the cross roads next time you are visiting your DD

Mimi, we need new pain free bodies! I did think of a roast for today, but changed my mind and didn't put the chicken on the order yesterday. I love a roast but the quick pasta dish I cooked tonight was a much cooler job
I hope the badger stays away Plant.
Has the oil smell gone yet Oma?
I hope you have enjoyed your birthday Daisy

It was so hot and sunny all day, I felt we were on the Med!
