I have just written on the what did I did today thread, so wont repeat myself here.
Night night ladies. I will be off early tomorrow as the key safe is being fitted at mums, between 9 and 11, so I will need to be over there.

It's 4.24am as I write & I've not been to sleep yet. It was 5am yesterday when I dropped off.

Nan2 I read somewhere that you took a parcel to the Co-op for a Hermes collection. I need to send my last mobile fone to my brother as his must be at least 10yrs old. The one I want to send him is less than 4yrs old. How do you go about sending a parcel through Hermes please?

Sorry to hear Grans are exhausted looking after their parents. Glam I'm sorry you are finding it hard too. There's nothing like a good hug. It might be a daft suggestion but have you got anything of J's to hold? I can't remember if you're a sewer or not. I do remember a Gran on here making a pillow out of a shirt. I don't know if that would appeal?

I made a teddy for my niece when her friend died. The materials held special memories for her. If it is something you'd like, the teddy & can't do it yourself then I'd be more than willing to help. PM me if you'd like. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Good morning. A bit drizzly this morning.
i've been up for the past couple of hours, but got some quiet jobs done.

Going to start back at in laws today.

Nana, go onto the Hermes website, then click on send.
Put in your postcode then the postcode of where it is going.
You have to tell them what you are sending, then put in the weight of item.
Then the value of the item and address of where it is going.
You need to print off the label,or you can do it at the shop where you are dropping off the item.
            Hope this helps.

Good morning early birds - and pretty butterflies (thank you Nanto). I'm sorry there seem to be quite a few grans having trouble sleeping.

Nana - I can't remember if you're self-isolating, but Hermes will also collect a parcel from you. There's a small charge for that but not extortionate. On Friday my OH was able to have a parcel collected for a returned item and received a delivery at the same time. He always says it's much cheaper than the Royal Mail.

Nanto - I'm sure your in-laws will be pleased to see you - I hope they're ok.

We've had rain overnight, but I hope it will be dry enough to do more gardening later.

                Good morning everyone.

It rained a lot last night, but the sun is peeking out now.
As well as all I have to do with mum,I hope to be at a virtual party this afternoon for my lovely grandson who is 4 today. A music quiz online with our friends tonight, but I don't hold out hope of being there.

Have a good and and keep safe ladies. Talk to you later.

                  Morning ladies .
The sun is out but haven't been outside yet so don't know if it's warm or not .
I feel so much better today think it's over the worst .

Gem hope when you go to your Mum's she's not in as much pain today. One day at a time my friend that's all you can do xxxx

Daisy did you sleep well after all that gardening ?

Nanto your in-laws will be pleased to see you they must have been missing you a lot xx

                  Nana I often don't get to bed till 4/5 o'clock horrid isn't it .

All the decorating is done so not sure what we will do today, maybe have a couple days rest before we tidy loft .
I do want to spray the fence with diluted bleach to kill all the green on it before painting that . I do it every year it works a treat the green goes white within a day then I rinse off with the hose and it's ready to paint as soon as it's dry . Bottom of my garden is in the shade with the trees so that fence gets the worst of it .

Have a good day ladies xx

Gem - I hope your mum is better and in less pain with her legs. The virtual party, if you can get to it, will do you good, and the music quiz if you can make that as well. When you need to give so much care it's really hard to keep other parts of your life going, but you need a break if at all possible. xx

Oma - glad to hear you're feeling better. Dr Daisy says she'll come round and sort you out if you don't take a couple of days to relax and get properly rested. I absolutely promise, the loft won't disappear, or the fence!

Yes, thanks for asking, Oma, I slept very well and don't ache too much thismorning.

Quite right Daisy, you tell her. You know Oma we are going to be in lockdown for some time yet.

Nanto, so sorry to hear about your FIL, I am sure they will feel better if you go around and they have some of your tasty meals.

I got quite a lot of gardening done yesterday, chopping edges in my part of the garden looks good, so I have moved under the arch to see what needs doing.

Sil moved a bench onto the Cabin veranda with a small table for the shed dwellers to sit in the sunshine as they can't sit on the terrace. GD partner assembled his hammock so they are all set for the summer. They went off to work at 5.30 this morning.

We did a ‘zoom’ Meeting with the family yesterday, it was lovely that the cousins could see each other and they had fun pretending to squirt each other from their gardens! Will be doing it more often now we’ve got the hang of how it works! So you get a live picture of everyone who is attending the ‘meeting ‘ on your screen at the same time. Worth checking out ladies if you want to whole family chat at the same time. My choir are going to try to have a virtual sing using this method I’ll let you know how we get on!

Plant - your GD and her OH deserve somewhere nice to sit, given that they're working such long hours to help keep us fed.

It's very satisfying when bits of the garden look better, isn't it.

Good that you're all keeping busy. I was saying to OH that sometimes it's just good to take stock & do nothing if you can.

DD1 sick all through the night. Nothing I can do, so no point fretting. I wrote about her on here somewhere. I think she was worried yesterday thinking she may have caught the virus. Let's hope she has a better day today.

Thanks for Hermes info' Nan2 & Daisy.

                                Good afternoon one and all.

We had rain over night but the sun is out and so is the washing. I have just washed my winter coat , don't think I am going to need it any time soon .

I did toy with the idea of cleaning the windows but I soon talked myself out of that, there is all tomorrow not touched.

Nana I have used Hermes several times for sending parcels. Once you have an account it's easy to use . I would think that because of the current situation parcel delivery can be a little longer than usual.

Oma we have sprayed our fence with dileuted bleach before now, it does shift the green mould that comes over the winter period. Well when I say 'we' I really mean OH . I'm not allowed to touch the fence, along with grass cutting he seems to think it's his domain!
