I think Daisy should answer this one.

So many lost holidays Nana. OH wont go on her June golfing one to Portugal, as well as our family one to Florida.
I have no idea how true it is but I have heard that it is unlikely Trump will let any of us in until all risk of Corona is over. It could be a long time.

Lucky are those such as Sunshine with her cruise and friends of ours who went to Dubai, who got a holiday in before all this.

Yes I heard about Boris on the news. Price Charles yesterday. Inevitable really when they meet so many people I suppose.

Your sister should probably wait until they cancel her flight, then she will be refunded Nana.

            In laws are coping fine.

I was up at 1 this morning having a cuppa. Went back to bed,but couldn't get to sleep.
Was still awake at 3,hubby was awake so i came down with him and had another cuppa.
just as we were going back to bed,a police car went up the street. That was a novelty.
After breakfast we showered, then had coffee.
Got some shopping for in laws, then on to the chemist for our own meds, called in with ma and pa's shopping.
Had dinner,we will be having a cuppa soon.

GD1 and I usually have a G&T together on a Friday evening about six, she suggested I made them and she will sit in the garden, I think my sunroom would be better, it is quite chilly now.

Nanto sorry you are not sleeping well, hope you make it up tonight.

My DD and Sil were off to Seville in a week, the hotel is closed but they want Sil to cancel, which would mean he would loose the money. Crazy.

Nana, I’m a beginner with the greenhouse, will certainly let you know how I get on but we need Daisy to tell us more. I can’t do anything until the seeds arrive.

Lovely day here today. I washed the net curtains, dried and back up at the windows. So that’s one job off my list.

DD walked Dexter up to the local common for a walk. She said there were so many people there, picknicking on the grass, kids playing football and lots of cars in the car Park!! So she had a quick walk round, keeping well away but didn’t let Dexter off the lead so he didn’t get a good run. Honestly, I thought the message was getting home.

I’m struggling at the moment, it’s hard to get DH motivated and I seem to be nagging him all the time...get up, get dressed, have a walk. He’d be quite happy just to sit but that’s not good for him. Oh dear, I know he’s finding it difficult but I don’t know what to do for the best.

It’s certainly quieter here at the moment. Not so many cars, a few people walking but Otherwise nice and peaceful.

Shame about the holiday Plant, has The flight been cancelled? If so then surely they won’t lose money. So many people in the same boat.

Enfys, my DD reports a similar situation in York! She says it was hard to do her run without coming too close to both other runners who didn't give her space, and groups picnicking all over the place!
I haven't been into town and we have seen nothing like that.

It must be hard for your OH to be motivated when you can't get out

Oh dear. Why don't people listen to what they're told. Whether you agree with what is being advised or not is besides the point. If the best medical and scientific brains in the country say 'protect yourself by staying indoors' then that's what we should do. I actually don't agree with the fact that you can't drive to a quiet spot for a solitary walk, but I'm sticking to the rules until told otherwise. I walked Eva down to the post box at the end of the road and then carried on to the Forest (which is literally the end of the road) and there were two cars in the car park there. So I went the other way down an unmade road - houses (mansions, most of them) on one side, forest on the other. I met about 18 people and 5 dogs in about 10-15 minutes. Usually you'd see no-one down there! They were obviously family groups, walking, cycling and jogging. A less than 5 minute drive and I could have walked and seen no-one at all. So, Gem, I sympathise with your DD.

Nanto - I hope you sleep better tonight. Are you worrying about things? xx

Plant - I hope you managed your G&T with your GD. Really pleased your Warfarin check went so well. xx

Enfys - I hope your seeds arrive soon - I'd love to know what you're planning to grow. I'm so sorry you're struggling and P is obviously feeling down in the dumps. There's not a lot to motivate anyone at the moment, and P can't go to his video club or Man Shed. We can't even get together for lunch or anything. Hopefully when you start actually using your new greenhouse it will spark some interest for him. It's fascinating waiting for that first green shoot and then watching the tiny plants grow.

I do feel sorry for people wondering what's going to happen to their holidays.

Nana - I'm sure your sister's holiday will get cancelled, taking the decision out of her hands. It's a lot of money to lose. How disappointing as well - Seattle and the surroundings are amazing. although Seattle itself has become a huge city since our first visit there in the late 70s, the coastline and the mountains are stunning, and it's only a short drive up to Vancouver as well.

I'll start a greenhouse thread on Home & Garden, because lots of people have experience and ideas to contribute.

                      Good morning.

Daisy,i'm not worrying about anything,i'm just a poor sleeper. Always have been.

One job for today, we need to drop another parcel off at the Co-op, for Hermes.
Then we will see what the day brings.

Don't forget,we change the clocks this weekend.

Good morning, Nanto and all who follow. <waving back> I'm glad you're not worrying, although I'm sorry you're a poor sleeper. It must be frustrating, especially if you're particularly tired but just can't catch sleep or stay asleep. xx

I like your smiley clock - I love it when the hour goes on, but I will try and remember to go to bed a bit earlier tonight to make up for it.

We've got sunshine still, so the housework can wait. I'm going to do some more gardening - it's slow progress but I love being outside in the fresh air.

I've started a Greenhouse thread - if you've had or would like a greenhouse please add to it!

                            Good morning my dears.
Sunny and windy here, the blossom is disappearing from the trees over the road.

Nothing planned here. If it stays fine we will probably get into the garden again. I will do some more on the tray I am decorating. I may type up the AGM minutes which I started then abandoned with no hope of meetings for ages

                            Stay well and happy ladies!

Chilly here this morning but very sunny atm, no plans really just going to go with the flow. Need to sew up GGD's cardigan. I have been enjoying the sunroom, warm and out of the wind.
I agree Daisy, driving somewhere to have a walk or walking dog away from others seems a good idea, less chance of being near others.
We had a party with GD2 and her partner, who are in London, yesterday evening, we took it in turns to draw something and others had to guess what it was. We were in DD and Sil's SR, at least 6ft apart except for GD1 and her partner who sat together. they are back to work at Waitrose tomorrow so will have to isolate from us.

Good morning. It’s bright here but very chilly. I was planning to be out in the garden but it’s too cold.

We have just had a nice long FaceTime chat with DS, a good start to our weekend. He is working from home but the schools are all still open so DIL (teacher) and GS still go out every day. We were surprised to hear that hairdressers are still open but not nail places. Otherwise much the same as here.

DD in work this morning and I hope people are being more sensible and doing what we have been told. Getting excited about my Tesco delivery tomorrow, it’s like Christmas not knowing what will be in the bags!

I’m going to work on my family tree this afternoon, I need to organise my papers and really make a list about what research needs to be done. It’s so easy to get sidetracked so I must be strict with myself.

Otherwise, no major plans for today apart from general pottering, but I must make a cake this afternoon, just remembered that. Have a good day everyone.

Just remembered re the driving to take dog or have a walk....I heard on TV someone, either police or NHS, saying the reason they don’t want people to do that is because, if by any chance there was a road traffic accident it would put more stress in the hospitals. I know it’s fairly unlikely but can understand they are trying to cover every eventually.
