I hope you get the delivery slot Plant, phoning is a good idea. I tried to see if I could get a Sainsbury's one earlier than my Click and Collect Tesco one for April 11th. They told me I couldn't have any slots as I am under 70. Asda had none whatever age I was! So sticking with Tesco April 11th.

We just had a hilarious video chat with DD and GS1, which was unintentional! I was trying to sort out the app for tonight's family quiz and I somehow summoned them! My OH kept putting things (hats to begin with then a cat milk jug with open mouth) in front of me. GS almost choked with laughter - his kind of humour
I have been busy making some apple sponges and finishing my tray.

We had a late bacon sandwich breakfast but I think it's time for something else now.
    Bye for now

We have just had an entertaining video chat with DD's family, they were making their faces very funny and at one time they were trying to catch flying object in their mouths which made their faces swell. GD1 and her partner joined in on their way home from work.

It's been very wind here today, with really strong gusts. I've had to tie on the fleece jackets on the banana plants - they were in danger of taking off like big green barrage balloons! But the sun has shone most of the day so we mustn't complain.

I started the day well - cleaning the hall way, doing cobwebs, the lot and the cloakroom. Then I made a cup of tea to drink while I phoned my friend M. Went to pick the phone up and got a static shock off it, which made me spill the tea - all over the post which was waiting to be dealt with. Before I'd finished clearing it up one of my SILs phoned for a chat and to catch up on family news. By then it was lunch-time. OH made us a sandwich while I started on the living room, but by then I'd lost interest in regaining my Housekeeper Badge Part 1!! I never did get to phone M!

DIL2 Skyped us so we had dinner fairly late, and I'm just getting ready for morning. OH has a hospital appointment first thing tomorrow (another eye injection) and we've spent quite a long time planning all the scenarios we can think of. My SIL had to have a scan last week and her DD1 is a consultant pathologist. She obviously made the point about hand washing and sanitising, but she also said don't wear any jewellery, not even a watch, wear clothes that you can stick straight in the washing machine when you get home, then wash your hands, then have a shower. I'd already thought about putting clothes in the wash so have put a bin liner in a laundry basket and left it in the hall. Don't take a handbag either - use a fabric bag that you can wash afterwards. I'm not even going to take my Kindle which I usually read while OH is being treated. Hopefully we'll be in and out quickly.

Oh gosh, I didn't go to those lengths when I went to the hospital on Friday but I only saw the nurse, the hospital was empty, it only has clinics.

Interesting catching up with you all. Oma, I think the stairlift is a great idea. I bet you'll have a few laughs over it to begin with. Daisy thanks for the Greenhouse thread, I'll get round to reading all the posts later on.

New meds are turning my sleep time into wide awake time & vice versa. It was 3.30am when I last looked at the clock last night. Nan2 & other night owls unite, ha.😴😳 It's a strange time the 'witching hour' (referred to in the BFG).

Thanks for advice shared on behalf of my Sister's hols. DD2 said her partner is having a pre-sale closing down sale, as without the certainty of regular deliveries, people being hesitant to spend money on clothes etc his business is now on the verge of collapse. I feel so sad for him as he's worked so hard to make it a success.

Saw on FBk poor Avo still hadn't had their oil delivery. I hope that Monday is a warmer day for them.

Sorry to hear that DD partner is having to close the business.
Sadly, there will probably be a few more as well.

Bright out there now,but we did have a light shower earlier.

Try to have a good day ladies.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

Nana, what a shame. So many businesses will go under I fear
Daisy I hope all goes well and safely for your OH's eye treatment today.

Today I will go over to my mum's. I saved her some shepherds pie and made her a small apple sponge. Last time I took her something I had made she actually ate it. It's rare for her to eat a meal these days, so I try to take her some when we have enough and it's something she likes.
No other plans, but we should have a walk as we haven't left the garden for days, apart from my Meals on Wheels delivery in the car yesterday!
Tonight we have a music quiz via What's App, with friends. OH will be much better at that than I will, but it will be fun.

                    Keep smiling all.

Daisy, hope the hospital appt. for your OH goes smoothly, hospital is the last place you want to visit today.

Gemini, I bet your mother enjoyed her meal, I don't make things like pies now just for me and frozen ones are not the same. Have fun with the quiz, thank goodness we have that facility to keep in touch. We had a lot of fun on Facetime with the family yesterday. GD2 gets us organised.

Oma, the shed dwellers (love it) can enter the house from their cabin straight into the utility, they will do their washing in there and leave anything and pick up things. We can wave to them. they are having their main meal at work so no contact there. My DD is going to use my utility which they access from their kitchen. It is quite a lot smaller than hers but I don't use it more than a couple of times a week.

We are quite anxious that DD stays away from them because about a year ago DD developed Asthma, quite mild, so has an inhaler. We are wondering if the cat might be causing it because it was a year ago he joined the family. Strange, because they had 2 cats before him. He visits me quite a lot so I will keep him in here a bit more as I usually just let him through to theirs. He has a cat flap straight into their utility where he has food but he is so lazy he will come to my door and be asked to be let through.

I wish we had isolated together. There is room for OH and me at DD2's

Good morning everyone. Well it will be if I'm quick!

We're back from the hospital and I'll write about it later. OH got home, had his shoer and immediately fell asleep in the chair. I've just had to wake him to take a phone call (not something I could deal with) so I'd better go and do my nursely duties with the soothing eye gel. Back later. xxx

There is something to said for that Gemini.

A swimming friend of mine said they have had 6 cases of the virus in their family. GM, her DD was visiting her DD and family just before it got serious, the family all were carrying the virus without knowing so DD went down with it on returning home. Then her DD's other DD contracted it at Heathrow where she is a traffic controller. Fortunately they are all okay.
