DS and GS3 came and fixed my telephone which was knocked out when television was connected, we kept far apart and I cleaned all the surfaces they touched. They were worried that I didn't have my alarm system working as it is connected to the phone. Well I now have a working boiler and a working telephone, I am frightened to touch anything.

Not tried to get a delivery slot, I am fine atm and GD1 said she will bring me shopping from Waitrose. Do you think it might be getting easier to get slots.

Enjoy your take-away Gem, all our take-away places have shut now.

Well done for finishing your painting Lizzie.

I looked for a slot today and there are none available. My local farm shop are going to deliver me fruit, veg, meat and cheese and bread flour next Tuesday so that will keep me going. I’m a regular customer anyway and one of the butchers lives in this village so he can bring it. As I have a chronic autoimmune disease I’m not too keen on going into a supermarket. My DIL drove over and picked up some eggs I’d left out on our postbox for her.

Plant - we ended up with 3 tv controls instead of two, although our landline was ok. How can you need so many buttons just to operate a tv! There were fewer controls in the cockpit of Concorde!!!

Well done Lizzie in getting all your doors painted. A good job well done, eh! The hanging baskets will be a nice cheery sight for the summer of lockdown.

Oma - not too long to wait for groceries! I hope it all goes according to plan. When I chose the time slot for mine I had to add that we were self-isolating, and it occurred to me it really doesn't matter what time they deliver - we're not going anywhere!! In a spread out area like ours it would save the supermarkets a lot of time if they had longer time slots to make the delivery routes more efficient.

WeeGranny - I meant to ask what shrubs are you planting? What a lovely project to have at the moment.

Gem - enjoy your Indian takeaway tonight.

Daisy I haven't used Sainsbury's delivery for a long time and it seems they didn't recognise my log in details! Oma told me she got a slot with Asda so I tried them and I got a slot for 5th April and got an order sorted, but they didn't want my money.....and they still don't! So will try Tesco again tonight! Honestly this is beyond a joke, it's not surprising people are still out and about .

OH went out to get my prescription today. They don't stock it so was asked to call back tomorrow. No point ringing as their fone is in constant use. He said you queue outside, (the required distance) go in & do what you need, then if you're waiting for a prescription you wait outside again until it's ready.

                    Good morning Nan2
Good morning or afternoon or whenever you are reading this, ladies!
                    Another gorgeous sunny day here.

WG, I so agree, we are told to stay home, but would die from starvation before we could get a delivery, let alone my poor mum!
I'm glad Oma and Daisy are getting theirs at least!
Nana, they had that queuing outside system at our pharmacy when I went for repeat prescriptions on Monday.

OH has her 6 monthly hospital check by phone this morning. We will then both go to Tesco and endeavour to get all that we and my mum need. We are low on a lot of things now, especially fresh veg, yogurts etc.
This afternoon I will deliver mum's shopping and spend time with her.
She phoned me yesterday telling me not to come! She understands some of what she is seeing and hearing on the news, but is also scared by what she doesn't really understand. She seems to think I will be in great danger if I go! I pointed out that she was no danger to me, it was the other way around, which was why for now I am the only one visiting. I told her we and the cat need food, so I will be shopping anyway (with no delivery slots) so to do hers is no greater risk. So I am going, being careful as ever in the supermarket. We will come home first and I will wash things, so in the afternoon I, and the cleaned shopping, will be going to mums from here, not straight from Tesco.
I think DD3 and I will have a video call at some point today.

                    Enjoy your day ladies.

Good morning. A lovely sunny day here. Our mini greenhouse was delivered yesterday, and some compost. The delivery people just rang the bell and left it so no contact. I have left the packages outside and will wear my rubber gloves when I open them, just in case. Just waiting for seeds now.

Both SIL and GS have been laid off for the interim, I don’t know what will happen later but can understand why. These companies cannot keep going.

DH has had his next diabetic check postponed, I was going to ring up about it anyway so that’s ok. Luckily he keeps everything pretty well under control.

Our doctors have now said the doors will be locked, so no popping in. You can only be admitted if you have an appointment and may be asked to wait outside as they are limiting the number of people being admitted, good idea.

so today we shall be sorting out the greenhouse...sounds very grand but it’s only a little plastic contraption. It’s a good project for DH and gets us both outside.

Have a good day everyone, stay safe 🌞

How nice that the greenhouse and compost have arrived Enfys
Our takeaway was delivered in that manner last night. Delivery man rang the bell, and plastic bag containing the food was on the doorstep, he was back in the car and driving off.

                          Good morning everyone.

I'm just off for a shower, but just a quick message to WeeGranny - Sainsbury's probably can't identify you as being in a vulnerable group because of your poor immunity. They knew I was over 70 so contacted me automatically. It's worth getting in touch with them and explaining the situation, because they are trying to identify other vulnerable customers.

Feeling a bit lazy this morning, not dressed yet. I haven't heard from the Warfarin clinic if they are still expecting me for my blood test tomorrow. Sil thinks it is important I go.

Good idea Gemini to wash the items from the supermarket before delivering to your mother. Do you just use soap and water?

Your greenhouse project sounds just right for your OH Enfys, what seeds are you going to plant?

Yes Nana, my injury did bleed a lot but okay now. If I tackle it again I will wear a long sleeved shirt.

You are all keeping very busy in this difficult time.
