Good breezy Monday morning Nanto and all who follow. At least it's not freezing cold.

I'm going to go over to collect Cooper a little earlier this morning - with this wind down there may be trees across the road, and any detour makes for a much longer journey. Chat later, I hope.

      Good moaning each.
Breezy here also, but as Daisy says, not cold.
Into town to return jeans to M&S (laughably short) then on to physio to sort out my back, then cards this afternoon. Decs all up now except the fresh holly and ivy (for hall mirror). I will go gleaning around the Church in the next road on Friday.
One more gift to finish tonight then I can relax a bit.
Some mad fool is mowing the lawn nearby and it’s not even 8.30am!
      Have a good day ladies.

        Good morning ladies.

You certainly got a good start on the day Nan2
I hope your journey is safe and uneventful Daisy.

This morning OH and I have leaflets and letters to deliver. 2 lots! We hadn't got the last lot done then they brought more. I know the election is upon us, but everyone is busy at this time of year, and there is the matter of overloading the public. I feel bad not helping so close to election time, so we are aiming to do half the round each. OH will probably do more as my knee will slow me down.

I have my usual client to go to at 4.30. Before that I will visit mum and see if I can help with any Christmas preparations. I will take her Christmas cake too.

        Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone, I have already been to the gym, fifty fit in the pool this afternoon, then I am shattered for today! Not cold here, windy and showers.

Wee Granny, you would enjoy the celebrations for Dec 5th whilst living here, they do so much, seems to be getting less though which is a shame, I was talking to a friend yesterday, she is my age, she said when they were younger it was all about Dec. 5th and just the religious part for Christmas, how things change over the years.

            Enjoy the cruise Sunshine.

Dentist this morning eeek! emergency appt. as my tooth is still troubling me. Bowls this afternoon, I was hoping to make some mince pies to take but having to go to the dentist I don't think I will have time. Fibrillation off and on, Appt. in March to see someone!

I hope your drive to collect Cooper is uneventful Daisy. Very windy and mild here too.

Do you make some of your Christmas presents Grauntie?

I have one more birthday, my eldest GS before Christmas. Cards finished, must start to wrap presents.

              Have a good day everyone.

Oma, I have been known to do cleaning early mornings!!!! Now with it being a flat for 55+ I have to be very quiet when I am up and about early mornings as they all sleep to 9am+! I do what I can though and hope I am being quiet! When I was away with the family a few weeks ago, I was sat in the kitchen and DS1 was down to go to the toilet, he asked if I ever slept!!!!!

Morning all. It’s very windy here this morning along with nasty cold rain !
This week is the first of my Christmas meals . We have one this Thursday, what a day to pick it’s supposed to be really miserable out and I have to find time to go and vote . Now do I go before I have my meal or afterwords... after a few glasses of .
The candidates might look a little more appealing and sincere after the odd tipple

Oma sorry to see you haven’t been able to sleep , is your brain going into overdrive? Mine does at night , silly things will keep me awake for hours.

Have a a good day ladies

Very bright and breezy here this morning. We popped out for coffee and to get a few bits and pieces. Bought Christmas presents for Dexter, Humphrey and Murphy (DD’ dog and cats......what am I like, can’t leave them out 😀). P feeling very well, me not so good. Still suffering with my neck so am off to docs this afternoon. The Osteopath was very nice but boy was I sore for a couple of days. He wanted me to have one more treatment this week but I don’t feel happy about that so will see what doc says first. It doesn’t feel any different so don’t know if it did any good or not. We go away on Sunday and I really want to feel better by then.

I think I’ll get the tree out this afternoon. DH wants to decorate before we go away so I think that’s the plan for this afternoon.

Plant, hope the dentist goes OK. How are you now Clover? Gem, sorry to hear about your little cat but you are taking wonderful care of her. I remember how devastated we were when our little girl went aged 18, still think of her.

Afternoon all, I’ve actually got some washing out blowing in the wind, it’s cold but sunny so we shall see.
Enfys glad to hear all is going ok , your OH has joined mine both putting up outside. We put the tree and decks up yesterday seeing as Eldest g/d was staying she was a big help
We are at a nativity play at 5 pm and then bringing the twins home to mum and dad.
Been to Well woman clinic, my blood pressure is up more than it’s ever been so have a portable one for a week to use twice a day.
Plant hope dentist goes ok I am due on Thursday hope he sorts out my nagging toothache thank goodness I don’t have it all the time but something isn’t right
Gem hope your coping ok with puss , I am sure you are looking after her so well

Despite the strong winds, all the trees were still standing this morning, thank goodness.

Cooper has just fallen asleep on my feet so I've got a few minutes before I go and collect the girls. They put their tree up yesterday and are soooo excited.

Enfys - I'm so glad P is feeling well - I hope your neck soon gets better. I buy presents for all three family dogs and the one cat! I know it's silly, but they like new toys just like the children do.

Plant -poor you. You're really suffering with toothaches at the moment. I had hoped the AF had settled down again, but is it possible the pain and worry of toothache has upset things?

Gem - I hope you didn't overdo things delivering letters and leaflets. You don't want your knee being painful again. I hope you can have a quiet and peaceful evening with little cat. I keep thinking about her. It's so hard, but you have done everything you can to keep her comfortable and happy and I hope that brings some comfort to you and OH. Sending hugs. xx

Mimi - perhaps you should vote before your Christmas meal - if you have a few too many 'tipples' you might end up seeing double, and we don't want any more politicians on the scene, thank you.

Lizzie - what a shame it seems that the old 5th December traditions are dying out. I couldn't function if I slept that badly!

Grauntie - I'd love to mos our lawn - it's still growing and is so long! But not at 8.30 - it's hardly light!!

Right, off to collect the girls and take them and Coops home.

Last year a very popular pub / eatery burned down , only the front wall and a bit of the side was left ,

It was caused by a member of the kitchen staff throwing a cigarette out and the bins set on fire spreading rapidly to the kitchen conservatory and bar ,

They have worked all year re building it , They opened again yesterday so we have been for Tea , it was as good as it was very enjoyable .
Talking to the manager and she said they are already fully booked into the new year Looks like its going to be very popular once again .
