I'm glad the sleepover went well Nana. I never sleep as well when the GC are here, it's that feeling of being on duty I suppose.

I will be here at some point tomorrow, but it may not be until the evening, so don't worry if I am AWOL all day!
DD2 and I, with all 3 children are going to Leeds for lunch and to see The Very Hungry Caterpillar at Leeds Playhouse. For the benefit of 3 year GS really, but the others are happy to come
It will be GS2's very first train journey. I am leaving early in the morning to drive over to pick up GS1 and and meet DD2 and children. We will catch the train from their local station. I will be home with GS1 at 5/30- 6ish and he will be here for a sleepover.

    Bon voyage Nan2!

Ooh exciting Nan2 Have some sun for us!!

I'm very much looking forward to my day out, but my knee isn't! It has been painful the last two or three days, so I will take some painkillers before the walking about required today. Not too much walking, thank goodness.

I will be try to post again this evening, once GS1 is down for the night.
            Have a good day everyone.

              Morning ladies ,
Gem take it slowly no running around like a young girl mind

Did intend doing lots of sorting in garden today , take old plants out and clean leaves away ,
It rained during the night so everything too wet ,

I ended up cleaning the inside of the windows and mirrors instead and a general clean through .

Brian gone to his Mams to put her smoke alarm up AGAIN
She keeps knocking it off the wall with the sweeping brush when it goes off , this must be about 6 times this year either B or M has put it back up , B going to move it slightly and a little further down so she can get to it with the step ladders , he's also going to screw it to the wall so she cant knock it down although I cant see that working she will just rip it off and leave a hole instead

Sun is coming out so I might get a bit done in garden later ,
Have a good day ladies xx

                Good morning one and all.

We all seem busy this morning!

Nanto - safe journey, dear and have a lovely relaxing few days. I hope the weather is kind to you.

Nana - well done, you survived your sleepover, and have managed to get on with your quilting.

Gem - what a lovely day. I hope your knee behaves though. I remember taking our GSs on their first train journey. It was the old-fashioned slam-door trains on a tiny branch line and they were taken out of service not long after.

Oma - I had to smile at the picture of your MIL swiping the smoke alarm with a sweeping brush. There must be a better way!!

The GDs enjoyed their midnight feast - about 9 pm, I think! GD2 wok up at 12.30 but went straight back to sleep after a cuddle. Then Cooper wanted to go in the garden at 2.30 and 4.45, and decided it was breakfast time at 6 am. Hey ho - I can sleep tonight, I hope! I think I'd sleep ok on a sleepover if I was allowed to.

Go and have a sleep-over somewhere Daisy, you deserve it.

Gem I hope your day out was a success, hope the knee held up

Very interested in your quilting project Nana.

DD asked if I wanted to go out for a meal this evening but they are having to deal with taking a carpet up in their hall as they had a flood yesterday. Need to get the house insurers involved. It would be nice but Sil isn't feeling great either. I had a very enjoyable morning with friends at a NT group coffee morning and I am going to the cinema with a friend tomorrow morning to see a Seniors showing of Lowry.

I'd be more worried about why your MiL's fire alarm goes off so often then her knocking it off the wall Oma! Ours used to have a thing about burgers.......every time I cooked them it went off. Got embarrassing explaining to the alarm people why we didn't need the fire brigade!

Another lovely day here, but a definite drop in the temperature. Have defrosted and cleaned our old freezer as DD is collecting it in a couple of days. It lives in the garage, but wasn't as grubby as I expected. Reading with Yr 2s at school this afternoon and yoga this morning. I don't know what they did with that injection the other day, but I haven't felt as energetic as this for a loooooooong time! The house will be a shadow of its former self at this rate.

Spoke to my DB at the weekend and he was asking about a dog we'd had as children and how he couldn't remember much about the dog. So I got in among the old photos and found a couple of said dog. DB was definitely around but he doesn't look very old so perhaps that's why he doesn't remember. Then he asked if I remembered his engagement party, seems I'm not the only one who can't!! Must have gone to it because I lived at home, but can recall nothing about it.

Hospital tomorrow with OH for his brain scan. Not particularly looking forward to getting the results back.

                      Enjoy your evening ladies!

Fingers crossed for the scan results for OH, WG.
Good to hear you had a nice time with friends Plant, and a nice morning planned tomorrow.
It sounds as though your GDs had a lovely time Daisy.
Good to hear you are relaxing Nan2.

We had a very good day. My knee was painful but I coped. DD told me we walked 5 km.
GD is at sleepover with DD3 tonight, so she came back here with GS1 and me, to be picked up from here! GS is having a little screen time before bed. He's an early riser so we wont be sleeping in tomorrow!

                          Good morning everyone!

DD will be collecting GS some time this morning.
I want to look for some new Sketchers this afternoon. OH is going (not for the first time) to secure a curtain pole holding long, heavy curtains, to a friend's wall. I will go to help her.

Have a good Wednesday whatever you do,

Good morning. Have a great holiday Nan2 🌞

Busy day yesterday, did one of my most least favourite jobs....cleaned the oven! So pleased that’s done now. P went for his diabetic check up, all ok, passed with flying colours so that’s one thing we don’t have to worry about. He is looking so much better, the scan on Friday though, not looking forward to that. Good luck to your OH, WG, for his scan today. Hope it all goes well. It’s horrible waiting for results, isn’t it.

I think P wants to go out for coffee this morning, then I have Dexter this afternoon. Since my little incident tripping with him I have decided that I will go over to DDs and sit with him for a couple of hours instead of bringing him back to ours. They have a big garden he can run around in and I really don’t want to risk it happening again. I take my knitting and relax for a while so it’s working out well. They only live over the road so it’s no hardship to wander over there.

Quite pleasant here this morning, dry and dull but no rain! Have a good day everyone 🌞
