Good morning, it was very frosty here. It lovely and sunny. Have just got home from the supermarket and enjoying a cuppa.

Daisy, we saw that on the news, poor lady.

Plant, your poor GD, she must be feeling really poorly. I hope something can be done for her and sooner rather than later.

After lunch we are going out to get a portable jigsaw tray thingy for DH. Don’t know the proper name, its something he can do the puzzle on then pack away, he’s enjoying it but it does mean the dining table is out of action. He has more patience than me 🙂

        Good morning everyone.

We had a really hard frost last night and everywhere was (and still is) white. Very pretty, but the black ice on the roads wasn't! Roll on spring.

Lizzie, glad you got your tech problem sorted out. As you say, we worry about strange things. Mind you with a day as busy as yours it's a wonder you had the energy to think at all.

Gem - your OH is very brave, playing golf in this cold weather. Enjoy your shopping. That poor lady - delivery vehicles are so large it's impossible for the drivers to see properly when they're reversing. Sadly the most common traffic accident in that town is people hitting the accelerator instead of the brake. The lady who died was 89, and it sounds as though she tried to cross before the green man was showing.

Nanto - it sounds as though the lady died instantly from what eye witnesses have said. It must have been awful because people came out of shops with sheets and things to screen the area even before ambulances arrived.

Plant - poor GD1. She must be worn out. Will her mum go into the doctor's with her? It's worth stressing she's not sleeping, because that doesn't help with recovery.

Ooh, jacket potatoes! Lovely crisp skins, soft buttery insides, I'm starting to feel hungry. I also like to scoop the insides out and mash them with butter, seasoning and grated cheese, top with a bit more cheese and pop them under the grill to brown. They're called super-jackets in our family!

Lizzie - if you want to start a new thread, go to Forums and choose where you want it to go. Click on that forum or sub-forum and then click on "New Topic". It will ask for a title. Don't worry if you put it in the 'wrong' place - it will get moved.

          Afternoon ladies ,

Plant poor GD sounds so poorly ,

Daisy the one shining light is the poor lady wont have known what was happening .

Lizzie we do worry about silly things at times don't we and its usually settled very quickly

Gem are you going to the Range for anything in particular or just browsing ?

Nanto I love Jacket potato , Plain with butter or spicy beans

Enfys my BIL has one of those Jigsaw things so it just tucks under the sofa out of the way till he wants it again , clever idea .

Well my carpet is drying out slowly but nicely ,

Took GS1's Chain we bought him for Christmas to be repaired this morning , he managed to get it caught taking his Guitar off yesterday and snapped it ,
From there we travelled to Newcastle to take B's phone in to be repaired , £235 for a screen , shocking isn't it , said would be ready for Friday
Then went into the Artisan bakery and bought some Sourdough bread and came home ,
Just put kettle on and phone rang it was the shop to say his phone was done so B has gone back to collect it ,
Takes about 35 minutes to get home ,if we had stopped off for a coffee we would have still been in Newcastle

That's three things now , Phone, Chain and Carpet . no more accidents i hope

That's your 3 things done with then Oma. They know what to charge don't they.

Plant, hope your GD feels better soon, poor girl.

Never thought i was going to get sat down today. Started cleaning the kitchen units, and as usual one job leads to another.
But it's all done now. Every little nook and cranny has been cleaned.

Goodness that is a lot of money Oma. What a pity you were nearly home, they should have said come back in an hour.

We haven't got any Range shops near us, must have a look to see what they sell.

Fetched some food for GD, things that she fancied. It is so nice and sunny, she thought she might go for a little walk to get some fresh air. I do hope she has some sleep tonight, it will help her to get better.

                  Good afternoon.

Enfys, OH has one of those jigsaw roll things.
Lizzie I'm glad you were sorted out in the end.
                  Poor GD Plant
Oma, I wouldn't pay that much for phone let alone a screen!! Have you noticed the expensive phone screens seem to break? I have never had a broken one , my DDs who have i phones have, several times.
You deserve a rest now Nan2!

Oma, I never got to The Range, but it's not much of a detour when I go for GS2 tomorrow, so I think I will go on the way. I want stickers to go on the GC's Disney Countdowns
Plant they sell a LOT of things!
I had a browse around the Designer Outlet, bought a Yankee Candle and some cards, and had my lunch in Pret whilst reading my Kindle. Very sunny driving, I needed my sunglasses!
I need a new suitcase but didn't buy one. I have plenty of time so want to shop around.

Gem I think they know as the phones are so expensive people will pay to get them mended , he's only had this one since August but it isn't covered for breakage through dropping it ,

In hindsight he should have taken insurance out , he has never had a broken phone before he is always so careful , He has just ordered a safety cover for it like a rubber edging thing ,

Wouldn't mind but it was on the top corner and you could only feel it not see it without a magnifying glass ,But it impacted the screen , they did replace the edging too ,
Although you cant tell me a screen and maybe 15 minutes work could cost that kind of money , its a rip off but they know they have you by the throat

Lizzie it shocked me too , im glad I don't have one of these expensive all singing all dancing phones

I love the Range they have everything , I never come out empty handed , a couple of weeks ago it was two fur cushions and Christmas baubles

Plant hope GD doesn't walk too far she must be so tired , My sister had her tonsils out when she was 27 if I remember rightly she took a little longer to recover than a child but was so much better without all those infections .

Nanto you start one job and forget to stop don't you bet you feel like you have achieved something though , well done xx

A young man I see at the sports school, I was going to say, I sport with him, but, if you see what he can do, I just watch him whilst doing my thing, he has his own business with phones, laptops etc and I have heard he isn't expensive, I will keep my phone safe if glass costs that much.

GD and partner had a nice stroll, I think she is feeling a bit better. Got her the wrong Cocopops she fancied but scored with the blueberries and raspberries and soup. See what the doctor says tomorrow when she goes with her mother.

Keep my mobile in a wallet type case, one side has a mirror!

Thinking about Clover, wondering how G is.

                          Still dark,but i don't think it's frosty.

We both have a smart phone, but not the very expensive ones, and we have ours in phone cases.

Signs of spring in the garden. Snowdrops are out and we can see the buds in the daffodils.

Dinner is prepared. Homemade chps, homemade chicken, leek and mushroom pie(just a small one) mushy peas and chicken gravy.

                            Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I have a phone case with a cover, as most of my friends do. Younger people tend to have just plastic casing, which doesn't protect the screen. Dinner sounds good! We had chicken pie on Sunday.

No frost here today, its very misty, but its due to lift before 10
Reflexology for me this morning, then off to collect GS1 from school this afternoon, maybe doing a bit of shopping on the way.
He is coming back here this week as DD wants to work from home today. No dark drive home for me, and I 'finish' earlier

                            Have a good day everyone.

Morning ladies , I have my phone in a case too , Gem I cant tell you how many times GS1 has dropped and cracked the screen on his , as you say the young ones don't use covers .

Nanto we are having home made Chicken and ham pie with peas and gravy tonight may have chips not sure yet

Off out for some shopping soon then my new glasses to pick up at 10 ,
After lunch I intend painting the sitting room door frame ,
For weeks I have been looking at a paint run that needed sanding back , you don't notice it till the table lamp is on as its beside it and shines upwards onto the frame , but its been bugging the life out of me so B finally sanded the frame down last night.

Hope we are all doing ok today , have a good day ladies whatever you are doing xxx

Forgot to say , Daisy that photo of J and Eva is hysterical talk about un lady like

I'm a bit too late to say 'good morning'! I popped on earlier but then had to go and get myself ready for the day. We're finally getting our windows serviced. They've been getting harder and harder to open/close, in fact we haven't dared open our bedroom window for a couple of months in case it wouldn't close again. So I'm really happy I can become a fresh air fiend again after today!!

Oma - we've actually got two photos like that - that's the older one, before she grew hair on her tummy - I couldn't find the newer one. For those who haven't seen it on FB - our vets had a thread for something like 'Hug Day' and people put photos of them cuddling with their dogs. Mine is OH and Eva, with Eva sprawling on her back being totally relaxed but very immodest. I'll add it to my Media.

Oma - please don't spill the paint - you've had your 3 things for this year!!

It's still misty here and very chilly, but at least there was no frost.

Gem - I hope you enjoyed your reflexology and do lots of lovely shopping on your way to collect GS1. We haven't got a Range near us either.

Nanto - you manage to make me feel hungry with today's menu. Yummy!

Plant - how is GD1 today? I thought Cocopops were Cocopops - I didn't know there were different sorts!

Oma - is B's phone covered on your house contents? I didn't realise replacement glass was so expensive! I don't keep my phone in a case, and I have dropped it a few times, so I think I've been lucky., (and it's an iPhone, Gem). But mine's quite old now and wouldn't be worth the price of new glass!
