Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.
    Wild and windy here!
This afternoon I am going to one of the streamings to cinemas of Les Miserables. I have seen the film, but not the show before. I am going with SIL's mum. Granny's outing!
I may make my mum's Christmas cake this morning, then I can take it over to her tomorrow.
Christmas card writing today too, and as I haven't actually typed up the minutes of the November meeting I must do that 😲

Puss had more fish this morning and a good drink. I bathed her with cat wipes, which smell lovely. Brought her upstairs and she's asleep on my knee with one of her little blankets over her. Just a
matter of keeping her comfortable for the next couple of days really.

I hope everyone has a good Sunday.

      Morning Gem.Nanto and all.

      It’s very windy here too.

Gem I’m glad little kitty enjoyed her fish. You are keeping her happy and comfortable which is the main thing. I think you’ll enjoy Les Mis.

Usual sort of day here. The dreaded ironing is calling.

      Happy Sunday grannies.

That sounds a lot planned for today Gemini, enjoy your day. Sorry to hear about puss but it is the kindest thing to do.

Sun shining, I am considering putting some old clothes on and do a bit of tidying in the garden, nothing else planned. DS's birthday today but I saw him and gave him his present on Friday. Must write some more Christmas cards. Tooth not so painful, I did have a good sleep. It takes so long to get tooth problems sorted because of the prolia injection and I have just had another injection. My DD suggested I should consider stopping it. Perhaps I should have a word with my doctor, if my dentist cant carry out invasive work and there is always a long wait for a hospital appt. I think she might be right.

Sunshine have a lovely cruise and bring back some sunshine.

I hope your neck is feeling better Enfys.

Qwerty, those Christmas biscuits look good, I used to enjoy cooking with my GC.

          Good Moaning Each,
Hoping to catch up with you but it’s going to take a while so I may abandon hope!
Gem, I am sad for you but as you rightly say you know when the time comes.
Sorry to read about Grans in pain, I hope you all feel better today.
          Sunshine, enjoy your holiday.
Daisy, you mince pie killer you! Send them my way, I love crispy (burnt) pastry.
Qwerty, love the pics. It looks like you had a productive session.
Clover, don’t go out with a brolly, stick to the ironing.
Still galloping along here, I would love to just sit and watch TV but I have gifts to finish (embroidery) which I save for the evening when I’m not too tired.
I put some decorations up yesterday and I will have to do the rest today as it’s our ‘Christmas Starts Here’ bash on Saturday and we are in and out all week. We were reminiscing about the decorations we had as children and how the garlands and paper chains went up to the central light. How dangerous was that, from the rickety step ladder to the fire risk!!
Have a restful Sunday ladies, first job here is to clean the cutlery etc. Must have had something acidic last time it came out.
          Onward and upward then. 😁

            Good morning ladies ,

Gem sounds like a good time . Poor puss , Brian's aunt had little sheep skin lined steps made for her old kitty to get up and down to the settee but it got to the stage she couldn't even get up them , she was almost 19 when she dies , Poor puss I do hope she goes in her sleep it would be so much better for her and you two , my heart hurts for you xxx

Qwerty naughty grandma but we do have different rules don't we

            Daisy cheeky monkey hahaha

Well we have been to our shopping centre this morning , went into Sainsburys and while I was in I decided to look at their Bath & Hand Towels , I need new ones after Christmas
Standing looking at them and a woman in her 60's came along side me chose 4 towels folded them up and put them in her bag without batting a eye lid and walked out of the shop

I was in total shock I just stood there watching her walk out of the doors , Before I got over the shock of her cheek and went to tell the security guard she was long gone .

It was so blatant she wasn't bothered I was standing next to her , as it was before 10 the lights were not fully on it was only open for browsing so she must have thought she would use it to her advantage ,
Some people have nerves of steel ,
Security guard said they would look at cameras as she may be a regular shop lifter who they can identify .

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Gem, thinking of your poor cat, a good age though. I missed a lot yesterday, sorry for not posting the replies, I got a new modem? for the internet, managed to get it all fitted and sorted out, then, hoped to get Netflix on the TV, blamed my TV, searched the internet etc, got all my papers sorted out, got a message from DS1, he said "it isn't your TV mum it is the media box! I tried to get in touch with the provider, but, it is all button pressing then they reply with a message to open with a plan to follow, after 3 tries at the plan it wasn't working, I phoned again and told them I wasn't going to say why I was phoning as I had enough
of the messages that wouldn't work and could I speak to someone! It worked, after a few minutes got a very nice young man on the phone and he told me that my media box needs replacing and it will be in the post tomorrow. He even explained how to install it with my code etc. I told him I will cope with that.

Very windy here at the moment, I want to start knitting, difficult pattern so will have to sort myself out.

That sounded a frustrating day Lizzie!
Good to hear the tooth is less painful Plant.
Lots of rain here Nan2, short on the sunshine though.
Don't get too bogged down by the ironing Clover!
How do people have the cheek Oma??
                    Busy lady Grauntie

I have had a productive morning. Made my mums Christmas cake, did two lots of washing, typed up the minutes and sent them to members. It was a brief meeting last time so I knew it wouldn't take me long.
OH has been kitty sitting and now she is ironing so I will sit with her now. OH thought she had gone a while ago, but no, she opened her eyes and looked at us! It is what we want for her and us, then none of us have to face Tuesday at the vet.
You are all so kind and understanding about it, thank you.

                      Good afternoon all.
Chicken is the oven and I have found time to wrap OH’s Christmas presents while he was out .

While I was busy my neighbour rang in a state, could they use our step ladder to get in their loft as they have been inundated with cluster flies. I offered some fly spray and a face mask as well which they gratefully took. I had never heard of this sort of thing , apparently they are harmless, they seek dry warm places to hide .
My neighbour’s OH said they have come into their loft as she has the heating turn up as high as it will go , it is extremely warm in their loft !

Good grief Oma, the cheek of some people!

Must go, the veg needs to go on.

Have a a relaxing day ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Hello everyone. I haven't just got up.

We've had a lovely day with our friends, and they've just left. They live in France so we don't see them very often, and we had a lot to catch up on. I managed not to burn anything else, thank goodness! The burnt mincepies were beyond salvaging - the mincemeat in them had set like stone!

I need to make some phone calls, so haven't got much time just now, but Gem, I'm thinking about you. I'm sure little cat is very peaceful and enjoying being close to you and OH. Sending hugs to you both. xx

                          Mince pies burn easily Daisy!

Little cat was taken good care of while I was out.
My Co Granny and i really enjoyed the Les Miserables staged concert. It was fabulous!
Our Vue has fantastic new reclining seats with lots of space between, which was useful for the amount of crying I seemed to do!
