Interesting is probably the word Enfys! It had better be a woman or I'm not going!

They said this morning sometimes the injections last very long time, and sometimes a few months.
I'm glad your internet is back!

I hope that latest injection lets the knee be pain free in Disneyland Gemini. I hope your mother is well.

We are going out this evening for a meal as it is DD's birthday so I don't have to cook. I do have some salmon in the freezer and will have a look tomorrow at the price when I visit Waitrose. I have seen pics on Facebook of toilet rolls shelf empty but they had plenty in the Co-Op when I popped in after swimming. I do hope people are not going to be silly although my GS said yesterday that his mother has been ordering lots of tinned toms and pasta.

I saw some bad news that they are saying the virus has mutated and one is more serious than the other. I do hope they can find a vaccine soon.

Oma, you must be shattered, your post says you posted at 1.22 I don't know how you cope.

Hospital doctor said she will make an appt. for me to have the latest BCC removed, fortunately the hospital was reasonable close to where I go to Aqua so I was still in time for the class.

Enfys - glad you're back online. Hasn't the rain been dreadful! We'd planned to go shopping, and we did! But first I walked Eva round the block - she's a bit of a tinker if it's wet and doesn't want to go on the lawn, no matter how desperate she is. But she will happily 'go' on the grass verges (yes I do carry poo bags by the dozen!) So off we went. By the time we got home, she just needed to quick shake - all over the hall! - but I was wet through. Quickly got changed and off we went. There was very little traffic on the roads/rivers!! I'll write about the shopping separately.

Gem - I'm glad your knee injection has gone well. Take it easy - the most important thing is to get the best result. xx It would be nice if your injection lasts as long as Enfys's. I hope you don't overdo things at your mum's.

Plant - poor you - treading into a cold muddy puddle is no fun! How lovely having some one-to-one time with your lovely GS. Enjoy your meal out this evening.

Nanto - I'm glad you're having a day off - relax and enjoy it.

Oma - I think you should be taking it easy as well - take a leaf out of Storm's book, and curl up and have a good nana nap. xx

Afternoon ladies! Haven't felt much like posting just lately, but I've been keeping an eye on you all! Hope that those with illness, injury soon feel better and that those sleepless people manage to get a good night's sleep sooner rather than later.

Have had a bad throat over the past few days which has knocked me for six. Seems to be clearing now though. No use phoning the surgery for help as it's closed for two days for deep cleaning!! You can imagine the rumours that are going round because of that can't you!

OH been to hospital re his eyes. She wants to do some laser treatment because one of the discs has slipped and it's making his sight blurry. Then she'll investigate the glaucoma further. The referral has gone to the memory clinic so now we wait for an appointment. No doubt everything will be delayed because of this Coronavirus.

Plant we drove past the end of your road on Saturday. I didn't realise it because we came from the other direction to what I'm used to! Will be back in April for a few days, so maybe we could get together for a coffee or something ? Would be lovely to see you again. Will let you know the dates when I have them.

Had a beautiful sunny day here yesterday, but the rain is back again today. Will it ever end? OH cut half the lawn, but he'll have to wait to get it finished now.

Plumber coming in tomorrow to look at cloakroom and see if we could get a shower in there. It'd be handy if we can, but I think it might involve digging up concrete floor and moving pipes etc around. Maybe we'll just get some new fitted furniture instead. There are some gorgeous blue ones in the local plumbing merchant's!

Anyway, there are several shirts waiting to be ironed and I can't put it off any longer, so I'll love you and leave you! Enjoy the evening xx
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Gem, when I went to the physio it was a female doctor and a very helpful nurse. Also, I was told not to lift anything so you shouldn’t be struggling with your treatment table (re your other post). Hope your knee stays good.

WG I do hope your feeling better soon ,

As you see ladies another night of sleep abandoning me ,

We have got a lovely morning, hope it lasts. Had a lovely meal out yesterday evening for DD Birthday, I had sea bass it was gorgeous. Came home and had a large slice of chocolate cake.
GD2 and her partner are arriving today for the weekend and we are all eating together on Sunday. I have offered to make an large apple pie as I have apples in the freezer. GS2 and his partner are not coming because they have just got back from Northern Italy. DD thought they shouldn't have gone especially as he is a physio and is in contact with the public.
Wee Granny, so sorry you have't been well and you certainly have a lot going on with yours and your OH's health issues. I would love to have a meet next time you are in the area. I am waiting for someone to come this morning to fit a new smart meter then I am going food shopping, hope there is something on the shelves.

Oma, I wish you could get a good nights sleep, my prescription would be a small brandy and a couple of paracetamols.

It was very frosty this morning, but that’s all gone and it’s really quite pleasant.

Popped out to Tesco, wondering what I would find but was pleasantly surprised. All the shelves were fully stocked, apart from the pasta which was a bit sparse but I managed to get what was on my list. Didn’t see anyone with huge trolley loads. However, I got chatting (as you do) to a lady in the car park......DH despairs of me.........and she said her daughter went there yesterday and everyone was going mad and the shelves were bare! So they must have stocked up overnight.

We are going out for lunch today then when we get back we’ll Move the cooker out ready for my new one tomorrow. Am I sad to be excited about a new oven 🤗. I must get out more 😀

Good afternoon everyone. No, I haven't just got up!!!

WeeGranny - I'm glad to hear your sore throat's getting better, and plans are afoot for your OH's eye treatment. My OH had laser treatment for his AMD a couple of months ago. It was a very straightforward procedure - apart from the dye they inject into your arm first. He had to keep out of the light for a couple of days, and you could tell when the dye had worked its way through his system because the toilet bowl stopped turning bright yellow!!! It has also improved the fluid that was leaking in his eye - it was a lake, now it's more like a little puddle. I know your OH's problem is different, but I hope it has success too. Putting a shower into your cloakroom sounds quite a big job, but I'm sure it would be very useful. Once it's done all the mess and upheaval fades into the background.

Oma - I really will have to come round to your house and hit you over the head to knock you out - it looks like the only way to get you asleep! Seriously, it must be horrible and I really don't know how you keep going. I hope you've put your feet up while B is out at his Army reunion. It's good that he can share the day with his cousin as well. I hope gS1 is ok - a growing lad needs his sleep, and most teenagers can sleep for England. It's kins of you to take your MIL out for a Sunday roast - I hope she enjoys it.

Plant - glad you enjoyed your meal out last night. Naughty girl - chocolate cake!! Jealousy will get me nowhere, will it. I love chocolate cake, especially if it's not too sweet.

Nanto - how are your in laws? Is your MIL still pleased with her check up results?

Enfys - of course you should be excited at having a new cooker! You don't do it every day.

Gem - your GD is certainly growing up, but it's good that she gets some independence. I hope you're having a good day with GS2. Our GD1 keeps asking if she can walk from school up to her parents' shop - it's only a ten minute walk, with just a few side roads to cross. But there's always a lot of traffic going in and out of them at that time of day, and GD2 has to be collected from the same location so it seems a bit silly to ignore GD2.

It's nice and sunny here today - such a change from yesterday, thank goodness. We've been to Southampton this morning - I'll write about it in a separate thread.
